i just finished this game today and im surprised there are even negative reviews about this game. i havent felt more adrenaline playing a game as much as serious sam 4.

I see people nitpicking and criticizing this game so much it’s really refreshing seeing someone talk on the positives for a change. Aside from the technical issue at launch, this game is a perfect addition to SS series. Definite much more fun to play than BFE, except for the final boss maybe. People aren’t talking about it much but I think this game has some of the best enemy spawn in the game. Not unfair like TFE, not boring like BFE. It fits your arsenal perfectly for most of the time. Gadgets are extremely powerful but you aren’t forced to use them so people can just play without them for challenges or use them just for fun of demolishing Mental’s horde. It’s up there as one of my favorite in the series, third from TSE and Siberian Mayhem.

YES...when you are bored with modern gaming and the over complicated controls and cutscenes in the middle of winter...YES, another playthrough of Doom1 is needed. Highly recommend playin Doom with the Brutal mod and all the other mods on a Meta Quest 3!

Shame the visuals looks bad but at least the guns are much better than the crap doom 2016 they feel so much powerful and fun to use cant speak about doom eternal haven't played it because i hated doom 2016 to boring and unresponsive guns even the shot gun doesn't sound powerful either. This is what a new doom game should've been but without the skill tree upgrading just run and gun like all the other serious sam games 1 2 and 3

Sam 3 likes to crash on 2nd to last lvl while looking for gas cans. Great time for a game to crash.

1st. If serious sam 4 is a prequel to 3. And syberian mayhem is a sequel to 4. Then where did sam warp to with future sam and olga at the end of syberian mayhem. Cause the last thing future sam said was that this timeline is screwed and there was alien tech descoverd in 3.000 bc. Also why did sam in syberian mayhem say he thought the traitor dude was dead if he saw him face to face beffore jumping out of the plane. But yea i wont say sam 4 was abismaly bad at launch...cause it was. Im just glad the bugs are fixed. It may not play like the classics but its still fun in terms of mowing down hoards of mentals enemys. Allot of people complain the lvl desighns are bad in terms of all u do is run backwards with no traps or level gimicks. But its still fun imo

It's so weird to me with all these people rediscovering Doom and being "yeah it never had mouse look, it's a 2.5D game"... I've put in more hours with mouse look than without. When I played it originally it was all on keyboard. There's also this sense that Bethesda is doing all these ports to put the open source genie back in the bottle.

To be honest the fact that they took down megaton edition is blasphemy, does DLCs were more fun than the actual campaign and the new world tour has a basic no consequence reward system in the rewind feature

I like the vanilla brutal mod making its way to consoles. Only works on the first doom game but hopefully we see more of that.

played doom 1 and doom 2 thanks to this remaster after 15 years of not playing them and had a blast, now im trying Plutonia out but it might be too hard. Gonna try MAster levels for Doom 2 as you recommended, going down seems fun too

Fun fact, serious sam 3 was made out of two other games that were both canceled. One was an untitled military fps (which the street sections come from) and the other was a pitch for doom 4. The cloned soldiers, khnum, scrapjack, and one of the player models all came from the pitch.

Idk bout yall. But i played 1st and 2nd encounter plus BFE and i didint struggle near as bad in thoes as i did in this one. And i was playing on normal... and still got my but kicked. Yet i can beat 1st, 2nd and bfe on normal no problem. I had fun on syberian mayhem, but there were lots of instances i was like... this is rediculous. (And would just face palm and sigh in frustration after dieing on the same section for like the 6th time) thoes particular sections were not enjoyable for me personaly. And would often shutter when i saw a open feild with ammo scatterd everywhere cause i knew it was about to be another section i was gonna struggle with. And i did... i ended up back peddaling away from the hoard waaaay more than i probaly needed too. But after dieing to the hoard 9-10 times i decided to just... run and space them out with the crossbow, laser and cannon. Which felt like a coward move, but i just wanted to advance the story. (Even if i never could beat the final boss)

I 1000% think that SS4 suffers from the same "Doom 3 false hate" thing. It was buggy on launch I guess, but idk I think it's a fucking romp and I like it WAY more than SS3. and Siberian Mayhem? Literally my favorite SS game of all time. As for randomizers and modes like that - if you play on PC, every title in the series has mod support and can easily triple your play time

Played Doom 64 on the 64, but i remember it being really dark, and never getting that far. Can't really remember why though maybe password system?? My brother loved it though. Also, hexen on 64 was awesome!!

I gave SS3 another shot thanks to this video and the comments, i must say. Setting the 'colors' to 'Vivid' definitely fixes the feeling to me. SS3 has the best movement from all the games, is fast, you can sprint during reload unlike SS4 and you are always faster than your opponents, you style with your movements. Great game SS3 is.
