winter farm update, the weather sucks 😕
Just had an inch and a half last night. I could listen to that 1586 all day. If we were closer I'd come help, maybe a road trip.
Sorry to hear that wish him all the best and you as well
Thank you
What kinda cancer do they figure that he has... and congrats on getting rye done...
Stage 3 non hodgkins lymphoma, which they say is pretty treatable, but his is a very aggressive type . We'll keep our fingers crossed
Those wagon tounge hitches are slick. We didn"t have those when I was a kid, I had to mussel the wagon back and forth to get it hooked up.
hope the treatments dont knock your father down to bad
Keep up the good work. Very good videos. Sorry to hear about your dad.
Sounds like that 15 enjoys being on the bagger😎
We got bunch chopped. Hay is really heavy in northern Pa. Our ground is wet. Still trying to plant corn. Gaining
Prayers for your dad 🙏
Thank you
Great video like your channel. Thinking of your dad 😊
Matt do you have any Montbeliarde heifer milking yet and how your Dad doing??🍺🍺🍺🎄
Hey Matt, thanks for the video your crops look great, how's your Dad doing? 🚜🇺🇲🌾🐄
It's always a surprise to me every year how early you guys start cutting first crop. Seems like we just got out of winter.
Why does a farming chopper have a water tank? Some people pull a water tank behind the chopper and add a stream of water in the head or throat of the chopper to eliminate the problem of sticking haylage... Chemo kills fast growing cells that is why your hair falls out. If it is a fast growing cancer it will knock it out. If it is a slow growing cancer extra protein digesting enzymes from your pancreas or bovine pancreatic enzyme supplements can fight it. The pancreas fights cancer that is why pancreatic cancer is the most deadly. Praying for your Dad. "The Enzyme Treatment of Cancer" by Dr John Beard
Nice going Matt😁👍
You and Erik, nice weather and getting it done!!! About 3/10" today, just looked at the hayfields.. it's all down.. it will be back up in a couple of weeks..
First thumbs up. Hopefully it's a good year.
Does your 656 have a 540 PTO doesn't your corn planter have a 1000 PTO on the corn planter how does that work?
The corn planter runs on a 540 pto hydraulic pump
I don’t get tried of the shit hauling. Growing up on a dairy farm. I always enjoyed hauling and hauling shit until the thing is covered completely. Knowing all what u just did will help your crop grow tremendously! I always enjoy watching your videos. It just brings back alot of great memories! Keep up the good work!
Hard to beat a nice crop grown with good Ole shit 👍. Thanks for watching
When one thing takes a crap, everything does. That cancer sucks, hopefully it was caught early enough and your Dad has a speedy recovery.🍻🍻🍻🍻
It's been a fight 🤬. We're hoping for the best, but it sounds like he's got a long hard road ahead. Thanks 🍻 🍻🍻
Maybe you got the bugs out of everything but that's not my luck ether payers for your dad
Yep I doubt it lol. Thank you
SORRY ABOUT YOU'RE DAD STAY SAFE AND I LOVE YOU'RE VIDEOS
Thank you
Sorry to hear about Dad, thanks for the video and prayers for the family.
Thank you
Choppers should be engineered with a powerful magnet that could collect any steel or iron before it reaches the chopper blades. It's not just the blades that matter; it's all the hardware disease the metal can cause in the cattle. I'd be scared to feed that forage to the cattle.
The newer choppers have a set up like that, it will stop the feed rolls when it picks up anything metal. I'm hoping to upgrade to one someday
I work in repairing tractors and agricultural machinery. I am looking for a job opportunity
Where are you located? Should be quite a demand for someone with your skills depending on what part of the country and the local economy.
Best of luck
The 44 series are so cute 🥹 Hope your dad will be okay
prayers for your Dad hang in there not everything can break
Thank you
Should have the bugs worked out about corn time lol . Somedays your the windshield sometimes the bug lol
Seems like I'm usually the bug 🤣🤣
sending prayers to your dad
Thank you
Sorry about ur pops he seems like a tough ol geezer and will trudge on til... glad u got people in ur corner tho...
Blessings upon you dad ❤
Thank you
Need 1 very good chopper
Doesn't seem to matter how new they are, them choppers are always high maintenance
@@hartungdairyfarm0713 true that
Reminds me of my mom's cancer experiences and taking card of dad. At least you can get help, I think many farming areas are like that. Of course it's not farming unles something is breaking down!
Always with the breakdowns around here lol. I'm sure glad I'm able to get some help
Sorry to hear about your dad! Hopefully he caught it early!
Thank you. He starts treatment this week, hopefully it'll work , but it's going to be rough
You sure had some bad luck sorry to hear about your Dad's cancer I will pr a y for him I have been battling cancer for over 2 years now so I know what he is going threw.
Thank you. Hopefully you'll be able to recover also 🙏🙏
Yes sir.... everyday is a should've stayed in bed day...... looks like it yielded good 👍🤣🤣 Good days are a premium.
Pretty much 😕🤣🤣. Definitely got some tonnage out there this year
Sorry to hear about your dad. Way to persevere through all the breakdowns! Love to see the 806 earning its keep!
Thank you. We just keep slugging away lol. Thanks for watching
Sorry to hear about your Dad. Hopefully by the time you see this I have my corn in the ground . There was 1.5 inches of rain here on Sunday and more east of here.
Thanks. Well hopefully you got your corn in. We've got about 30 acres to go and alot of hay to put up. Got just over an inch of rain yesterday, more storms coming. Better than a drought though. 👍🍻🍻🍻
We got a tenth out of that rain yesterday. I finished the corn on Friday and will be putting in the beans this afternoon.
Just got done planting soybeans 😁👍
@burrridgefarms good deal 👌. It just got dry enough for me to haul some shit lol. Rain again in the morning
🤣🤣Somehow I figured that was what you were going to try to do this afternoon 😉 At least they are in the ground now to fix fence and spray between rains. Good luck 👍
Sorry to hear about your dad. Unfortunately that c word is becoming too common. Best of luck to your family, rye looks to be yielding quite well. That's a positive
Thank you. Yep, cancer seems to be way too common these days . Great year for growing crops so far, harvesting seems to be a challenge though 🤣
My day started out good till the lawnmower thru its belt. Then a flat on the mower. It's awful.
I had the same thing happen to me last mowing. It would have been no problem to fix when I was 42, but at 72 it's a big pain in the ass just to lay down on the ground and struggle to get the belt back on properly and then get back up off the ground again. Airing up a low tire ain't so bad if you've got air handy.
Lol. Sometimes you just can't win
Hey Matt sorry to hear about your dad, I hope he recovers, I lost both of my parents 🙏🇺🇲🚜🚜
Thank you. Sorry for your loss too
Sorry to hear about your Dad through and prayers 🙏 hang in their 🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
Thank you 🍻🍻🍻
Sorry to hear about your dad. Hope he is going to be okay
Thanks. We're hoping for the best 🤞🤞
The nh tedder we had came with tine holders, a plastic piece that connected both teeth together. In 24 years never broke a tine but brone and lost all 24 tine holders.
Funny how that works lol. Maybe a guy could run a small chain to connect those tines
Great video wish we had our 806 back
Thanks. They are a great tractor
Some days are nothing but a struggle. Don't mind riding the struggle bus once in a while, but when I have to drive the damn thing every day that gets old. Sorry to hear about your dad. Good friends that help out when needed are worth their weight in gold. Really tells you, their character.
It sure gets old in a hurry when things keep breaking. It's really nice to have friends that are there when you need them. Thanks
Sorry to hear about your Dad. I heard some interesting observations by some highly published UK experts. They noticed innate immunity starts to drop at 55 and is almost zero by the time we are 70. However the TB vaccine boosts innate immunity and the people that got it didn't get cancer or c-o_vid. However you can only take the TB (BCG) vaccine twice in a life time. It has to be delivered in between the layers of skin where it leaves a mark at the back of the arm or shoulder. The video is on Dr John Campbells channel titled "T cells, cancer and immunity"
Thanks. That's interesting, I'll have to check that out
Sending prayers for your Dad! 🙏🙏
Thank you
I feel your pain. Spent the last week chasing water leaks. Course the pipe has to be obsuce crap no one carries stuff for
I've been there, lol. Them water leaks can be a real pain
You got the rye, but geez what a battle. Maybe everything will stay together now the rest of the summer. 👍🤷♂️. Hope things go good for your Dad.
Sure was a struggle 😬🤣. We chopped a little bit of hay and that went well so far. Dad starts treatment next week, we'll keep our fingers crossed. Thanks will
