Might I offer a observation: your description of the Triplock Crown feature was a little unclear as it appeared you described the crown, caseback and crystal gaskets are what make up the Triplock system when in fact, the name refers to the 3-part waterproof barrier located within the crown assembly, hence Triplock *Crown*. Anyway, good luck and thanks for the video.

No problems with date wheel. 2024 build. 2 seconds slow per day, fits my 8.25 inch wrist well. I have a Forstner jubilee on it, polished center links dress it up.

It’s a nice piece but the best go anywhere anywhere do anything watches the Blancpain 50 fathoms. Best movement original dive watch sport watch it’s tough the super lumen nova is amazing. The movement is as high as it gets titanium and 45 mm. It’s simply the best daily watch you can wear and it just feels the X factor very special.

Great review. I will be picking up a brand new SBGN003 this week, from an AD. It was the last piece he had, when I went there to look at the newer version SBGN027. I was pleasantly surprised that they still had the older version. Curious to know if you still have your 003, or have moved on? If you still have it, how has it been, owning the 003 for over 4 years?

Why is it that every one of these watch reviews , just go on and on about how it wears and the cosmetics of the watch , none try to give info re the movemnt , time keeping how well the screw down crown operates it's various functions - so i the end all are just Bollocks !!

I've been hunting one of these for literally a decade or more. Not so easy to get just the right one you're looking for (here in Australia anyway). Finally happened though! Just picked up a 2009 V serial and cannot wait to receive it. I'm pretty sure I'll be selling the 16610 when this one arrives. Explorer 1 never quite cut it for me either, had a few of those. The 16570 just has some kind of magic about it. Thanks for the video.

I really like my Silent Service. It gives me that Sub look and feel, and I love wearing it. Super comfortable and handsome. Goes with everything. One point of disagreement however. I also have an Omega SMP300 with anti reflective coating on the outside of the crystal, and after three years of wear I don't notice any scratches, and I don't baby that watch. So perhaps you'll update your point of view about that. Other than that, great review. I subscribed.

Nice watch, love the bracelet. I haven't seen anything more affordable with such a quality bracelet. I'm considering the watch mostly on the merits of the bracelet (that and it doesn't have the prestige or price tag of something like a Sub, I dont think I'd feel comfortable wearing something the price of a car on my wrist).

I wanted this watch when it was announced, but got impatient and got a Rolex (back when it was still possible to get a used Rolex under retail). Then the black ceramic version came out and really liked that, but didn't immediately pull the trigger, and then finally the black black version came out, and I recently picked it up. It's a very nice watch indeed.

Looks extremely dated, like a relic of the early 90s. It’s not a timeless design like the speedmaster or submariner.

“Is the prettiness of the movement enough to not be a purist.” Compelling statement. I prefer to be able to see the movement. Note: the bracelet IS a game changer. Completely changes the look of the entire presentation. Absolutely love the new bracelet. “A more elegant solution.” Sapphire is a great choice!
