is Spectra better to use than Astra + Zip wp? if we have existing website and making it on the subdirectory first before pointing to it as a main page.

To be honest I'm a bit wary of all in one tools, as each element tend to be thin compared to a specialized "just this" tool. They propose all those functions but I'm not sure how good those are compared to eg. WP+Thrive/block plugin+Circle+Convertkit. Could you imagine using just Highlevel for your courses, community, salespages etc.?

Great Tutorial! But would you recommend creating a whole blog post as a template? That would be an insane timesaver for me, but does it bring any disadvantages since I would have to put all the content into an additional background section (otherwise it could not be saved as a template)?

Sadly, after using ThriveCart and Learn+ for several years and having multiple courses with hundreds of members, I really wouldn't recommend building a business around the platform. Since they were sold a couple of years ago, things have certainly gone downhill. While it was never as feature rich as some of the more dedicated platforms, it was solid and reliable. That really isn't case any more. The most recent issue affecting pretty much every user, including myself, was ALL students being blocked from access to their courses by being moved from an active paid user to a cancelled user. Manually resetting their access would last maybe a few minutes before it was reverted back to no access. While they fixed the issue in around 24-48 hours, that doesn't change the fact that if you were running a launch campaign, all your new customers would quickly lose access to their content and nothing you could do would rectify that. This is only one of the issues faced, and I would encourage anyone thinking of buying it to join the Facebook community and gauge for themselves if they are happy buying into a platform with many long standing issues. Personally, I'm in the process of moving everything to Circle and while it is more expensive and a subscription, I'm confident this will be a more robust and reliable platform for my business.

Thanks, I was listening with high attention. My feeling is: Thrivecart doesn't care very much about developing their software any further (or maybe quite insignificant babysteps one and then). Do they have quizzes meanwhile? It alway said "coming soon" - but after years the still said "coming soon". From my point of view: Don't invest in software, where the company behind just doesn't care about further developing it.

I've used ThriveCart Learn+ for over two years. I discovered multiple (100+) instances where students retained access after canceling their subscriptions, and a recent issue where a customer didn't receive access to a purchased product. Despite contacting support, the problems persist. After tremendous pressure from the Thrivecart community on Facebook they have started doing a beta test to try and fix these issues and others that have been lingering on the platform for months if not years (the course access bug you experienced and noted on your review as one). After having this experience I would never consider Thrivecart for such a pivotal part of my business.

Dammit! I just changed to Surecart based on your other video. (My membership is in Circle). I don't plan on changing a bunch of stuff though so I'm gonna stay put for a while. Thanks for sharing this!

Great video! I ditched Thrive Themes a little while ago and don’t regret it. Also in the process of moving from ThriveCart Learn to Circle too. Not using the paywalls yet but can see that is inevitable (despite the annoying 2% charge!), so still using ThriveCart. One thing I got stuck on with Circle is that I couldn’t work out how to remove someone from a course after 12 months - not as simple as ThriveCart Learn. So thinking I need to have a Zap or bite the bullet and upgrade my plan to the super expensive one to be able to get Workflows 😅😅 Is that how you manage it, with Workflows?

Thanks. Always find your videos informative. I recently embraced the Sure ecosystem. I was originally looking at the Astra/Spectra route, but ended up going with Kadence. My thought is since Spectra and Kadence are both Gutenberg that I can still leverage my LTD Spectra Pro blocks. Our trainings are focused on elementary kids so we went with LearnDash for their lesson/quiz functionality. In hindsight, probably would have done something other than LearnDash. LearnDash is a hassle, complex, and time consuming to use. I have not investigated Circle to see if their course /quiz options would meet our specific needs. Was it a heavy lift getting all your stuff converted over? I have had a LTD for Converbox for years, but never have used it. Your mention of using it for quizzes is intriguing. I assume that ConvertBox is only used on your WP site. You mentioned that you are still using your WP site for your blogs and trainings. What type of trainings do you put on your site instead of Circle? Thanks again for all your insight.

Love to get your insights on simplification as I've been doing that for the last couple of months. I got rid of Adobe CC for example in favour of Canva and CapCut, you really need just that in order to produce quality content. Also, my tech stack for online courses was heavily relying on WordPress and it didn't feel intuitive at all, not for me or my students. So now I'm transitioning fully to Hotmart, which in latam is a massive solution for infopreneurs like me, I'm using it for host and manage access to my courses and also as a payment gateway, it is not as polished as Circle, but you don't have to pay any monthly fee as it is based on commissions per sale. I don't really need a CRM but I'm considering Hubspot (free version) just in case I want to implement that, for email I'm using SendFox, my email isn't that big so for now it is a good solution, as for my websites, I love WordPress for it and I'm starting using Breakdance as it saves from installing too many plugins in my sites.

Hi Doug, I'm looking for a way out of Thrive (as many do). I came across Kadence (Theme & blocks). Do you have any xp with it? Any gripes over Spectra/Astra, that you chose? For the first glance review I found it a bit more intuitive and rich.

How will customers go to the customer panel. I added a customer panel, but when the reservation is completed, it stays as it is and shows the result. How do I add a button for customers to go to their own panel.
