@Nocturnal_Pythons just that. One is very bright and paint is super dark. Will be interesting to follow. U never know. Been interested in paint/sentinel for awhile now. Seems to be underworked with lots of potential

Thank you! If I'm not mistaken Banana is a form of albinism. Most if not all my other bananas have red pupils. I surprised myself when I first learned that!!

Red eyes with banana is not like albinos have...

I do not think they are albino. But i could be very wrong, just something I read on a forum explaining why they have red pupils. Could be just the reduction in melanin, making them red.

I see what you mean, but non of the parents carry any calico or sugar. So far, I've seen many different looking het paints. They definitely vary.

@@Nocturnal_Pythons it’ll be interesting to see what they look like after a month or so. They’re definitely good looking snakes. The banana is the best het paint I’ve seen.

@He-Man’s Uncle yea, they are pretty neat. But again, just a 50 poss het chance they are paint. Hopefully, whoever gets em is lucky.

In my opinion, I believe mom is anywhere from 4 to 5 years old. Maybe less honestly. Started breeding her at 3300 grams and this is her second clutch ever. First clutch all slugs as it was her first time. Now I'm thinking there might be something up with her as the father has given me multiple healthy babies clutches with different females. Will possibly try a different male with her next season.

@@Nocturnal_Pythons 3300 grams? Wow that's a big girl. Another piece of good info would have been this is her second clutch. As u know slugs first go around is not unheard of but if she's that big and healthy and this still happens points to genetics. Hate to go there but there is spider in the mix, and I've had issues myself with female bumblebees when breeding. Personally never had any head wobble or star gazing or any neurological issues but have had issues when breeding with spider. Champagne is the only head wobble I've ever produced but I'm just one person

@@Nocturnal_Pythons normally, and this is just my experience, slugs first go around is because the dam is too young or small, more then because it's their first clutch. But again that's just been my experience. This is where an ultrasound would come in handy as u could track her follicle growth. If it was me, I'd move on to another snake and sell her as pet only, but I have a lot of balls in reserve so it's easier for me. Def get how tough it is, we put so much time and energy and generally we actually care about the animals. I got a huge boost when I started working with other breeders in my area, we could share info, genetics with swapping males, etc. Then u kinda work as a group, one guy has the ultrasound, etc etc

@@mrmouse-ol9pw Yea I totally agree on the spider affecting the clutch. She's is is definitely one of my best eaters and haven't seen any indication of wobble with her but I know wobble can still exist with the offspring. I have a buddy of mine that's been helping me through the whole process as he has way more experience than me so he always has an answer to my concerns with anything. I need some more breeder friends lol

@@mrmouse-ol9pw Yea, I plan ongoing to high end ball pythons by this year and replacing all my single and double co dom females. The idea for this year was to produce het Paints as is cheaper just to make my own hets at the moment.

Yea I couldn't believe it. Once it hit day 60 I knew something was up. But I'm sure everyone experiences this at some point in this hobby.

I do believe it's the female as the sire has fathered multiple clutches for me so far. Mom gave me 5 slugs last year and 10 fertile eggs this year. But who knows what's going on really.

Hey Olivia! Thank you! So I do have a wireless thermometer and haven't witnessed any spikes. Shockingly I know someone that incubates at 92-93 and works out okay lol. But I wouldn't rule it out of course. I still believe mama is the cause.

I have a female pin that should lay eggs soon. She was paired with my banana,lesser, pastel het paint male. My pin also maybe het for albino. Won't know for sure until I do a shed test.
