I have other problem on same device - when the unit is cold in the morning, remote doesn’t work. After approx. 15-30 minutes remote starts running well! Also phisycal buttons “display” and “memory” are not working. But when I put headphones on jack - buttons start to work for 10 seconds :)) What could be the reason? Thanks a lot!

Was that a new laser mechanism? If so did you de-solder the antistatic solder bridge before fitting it? There is a soldered link on the optical units PCB that has to be de-soldered before fitting or the laser will not work. It is bridged to stop static electricity blowing the laser during transit.

Use some extra flux on the SMD chips bitte. Also use de-solder wick to clean the old solder off first. You'll get less solder bridges.

Why not glue an extra aluminium heatsink on top of the original heatsink with thermal tape or thermal glue if this is a common problem? You seem to have a lot of Azures with with blown TA2092N chips. Hallo, You do not have to take the entire drive out of the case at all. If you pull the tray forwards there are 2 plastic clips with circles under the tray, GENTLY pull them out to the side a little bit, these lock the tray when fully out. You can then gently pull the tray forwards a little (but not fully out). You can then get more access to the belt to change it, very simple. I had the exact same problems with my Azure 340C even the small switch actuator came off as yours did (the part you glued) or "gutentighted" lol I left that part out and the CD player still worked fine for a while, now it stutters and won't read many discs so I shall glutentight mine in too. I don't have a k3850 and I can't find a close equivalent. I made contact between the relay pins on the 230 volt side and the surprise starts after I press the start button. I removed the relay, measured it and the coil is broken. I listened to music like this for hours at a moderate volume and it still works. My question for you is: after measuring the relay power point why do I have 10.4 volts only for 2 seconds when I press the start button then 0 volts? I specify that it still works very well, only that it must be removed from the power socket. I am waiting for an answer. Greetings

The problem with this compact unit is very strange. It sounds to me like the audio and reading capacitors are failing. It is a very typical problem for Technics and Pioneer. I am a technician and I know what I am talking about, especially if you have already changed the optic, the optic is not the audio capacitor. and reading in Technics and Pioneer, the capacitors that usually cause problems are the 1uf 50v 22uf 6.3v and 47uf 6.3v in 99 percent of the Technics and Pioneer that they brought me from other technicians who directly blame the optician with the recap of those 3 Capacitors came back to life and to this day they work without any problems. I would recap that compacter and you know how it comes back to life. That's probably the problem.

One of the reasons laser pickup is skipping tracks at the end of CD is that the ribbon (especially OEM ribbon) comes in close proximity/contact with the transformer. The EM field from the transformer interrupts the work of the laser via the ribbon, so the laser skips/stops. You can verify this by placing some protective plastic between the transformer and the ribbon: it skips less.

Cec has made belt transport for different brands. I have an Yba cd delta 3 with a Cec mechanical. It's high end Hifi. Weight is to avoid vibrations. Not the kind of construction you'll find on 500€ cd player. Thanks for your video.

Hi! Your repair is great and clean work. I also have a TEAC A-H500 with an issue, so would you help let me know your idea? The left channel on my A-H500 is always outputing at maximal level, however the right channel is good. This affects all input signals, and I have to eliminate the left channel with the balance knob. Some pro guy told me that this might be something wrong with the volume motor. Is is such and could it be replaced with similar spare part? Thanks.

Check the motor that positions the laser head to ensure it moves freely. If it's seized it cannot put the laser head unit in first position so the drive motor won't turn on and spin. Usually you'd need to remove the laser head position motor (long silver one on the head gear) apply a few drops of oil and provide it some power for several minutes to free it and see that it moves freely over time.

Thanks for filming this, a local repairer told me I needed to try and source an entire DVD loading deck, now obsolete, but your video enabled me to pull everything apart, clean it all and put it back together. All working fine now! 👍👍
