Meals Under Pressure
United States
Приєднався 23 гру 2019
Hey, it's Zack, from Pensacola, Florida. If you are looking for quick, no frills videos on some great recipes to cook in your pressure cooker, you have come to the right channel. I'm not going to give you twelve minutes of fluff, just showing you how to make a delicious meal using your pressure cooker. I use the Instant Pot brand, but not because I'm sponsored by them, they just happen to be the brand I have. My recipes should work using any brand. But that being said, this Instant Pot brand is pretty cool. I plan on showing you recipes for our traditional, and not so traditional dishes we make here in the South, but I am up for anything. I will also be including recipes made in the Instant Pot Vortex air fryer, as well as their Ace blender. Subscribe to my page to learn some great videos for your pressure cooker, air fryer, and blender!

The TRUTH about Cooking with Frozen Shrimp!
Make this evry New Yr! Alwys so good! Smells great in my ktchn now!❤
Thanks I never noticed the steam function. Thank you for explaining and demonstrating!
I bought the same piece of meat, excited to try this haha
It's a great way to cook it. Enjoy!
I love eating Asparagus and i fnever thought that finally you can cook it in an Air Freyer with the brand in this video, thanks.
YALL DIDNT PICK THROUGH YOUR BEANS AND YA DIDNT BOTHER TO RANCE UM? WELL HUN DONT BE SURPRISED WHEN YA CRUNCH DOWN ON A CLUMP OF DIRT OR A DANG OLE LITTLE ROCK AND YALL GOT GRIT N SAND GRINDIN ON YOUR CHOMPERS LOL
Heat you up a can of Blue Runner Creole white beans to put on top and you're all set, just like back at the duck hunting camp.
Just get a pot I don’t have time forever to weight for my prison heater to boil the water
Hahaha thats funny!
Thank you! Straight to the point, good instructions. Looks amazing. I’m doing this for Christmas with roux from a jar.😊 Oh wow, I see I’m commenting 4 years later lol
@@ginnyross7886 thanks! Make sure you rain the oil first from the roux before you use, or you will end up with a mess. You can add the oil back to the roux jar after
Glad I'm not the only one who struggles with those rotisserie prongs. Would love to see the venting in them cut scenes 😂
Did you use the bake or air fry function? I have the same air fryer
Air fry function. I am telling you it is the best way to cook a loin, and I've done them all
Thanks 380 degrees fort I hour 👍
Yep
Hey I am from Colorado and I love boiled peanuts I tried your recipe the only thing I added to your recipe was about three strips of bacon dude it was awesome couldn't quit eating them thank you! I love your recipe😊
Now bacon is something I haven't thought about. Probably added a little smokiness to it. Come to think of it, a capful of liquid smoke might be good too. Are boiled peanuts a thing in Colorado?
@mealsunderpressure not really a thing here we do have Walmart stores and they sell them but you don't see anyone selling them on side streets like you do in the south
I wouldn't ever take my money back 4 my Instant Pot
Too much beer. Big difference between Cabbage & Lettuce!!
Yep, I mispoke back them
All forgiven ❤
This video has been a huge help. I never used the Steam option on my pressure cooker. The food turned out great. The next time, I'll put it on 1 min to cook. All pressure cookers aren't exactly the same. Again, thanks, sir.
Yes, pressure cookers are different. Glad you liked the video!
Mmmm... phyto-estrogens and microplastics 🤤
Thank you for taking the time to make this bro just got home from the store with some crab legs trying to get tonight
@@billdelfera8580 thank you! Also check out my latest video on steaming
Good tamale pot also. Crabs look delicious!
@@theresawinterhalter121 thank you! I also never knew that you cooked tamales by steaming lol
Shrimp smell and ammonia smell too similar to me (i doubt myself more than anything)…. What are the odds of getting bad frozen shrimp in your genuine opinion. I understand this can vary and promise not to hold you to your response. Matter of of fact I’ll throw you a sub as you appear to respond to nearly if not all comments. My shrimp in question is frozen, wild caught, only sodium ingredients sold under the label of “ocean Bonnie” from Lowe’s foods
Everything sounds good about the shrimp except I don't know the country of origin from that brand. I only buy American caught shrimp, because I know the standards are good, but in particular I look for Gulf caught shrimp, because I know more about the shrimping industry down here. Other than shrimp boils, I really use frozen shrimp for all my Cajun recipes nowadays.
@@mealsunderpressure thanks for the response and information. I look forward to getting to know your channel more as a sub.
That was the most hopeless cok
It was good!
You guys rock. I started sautéing chicken thigh then leave it in there and follow your instructions. It’s one of my go to favorites!
Glad to hear it!
This looks like a good product. Are you still satisfied? Is the bucket holding up well? The current pot we use for shrimp boils we also use for blanching vegetables in the summer. How do you think this product would do with blanching vegetables for the freezer?
@@bradknox9506 yes we still use it, and it has held up great. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work with blanching vegetables, and it is big enough
Love this recipe! ❤
I am glad you like it!!!
This guy is Good..... Love your video's Brother.... This ol Louisiana Boy" Just bought a spiral Ham, and going to do it Today...... Thank you Sir
Glad you like my vidoes!
Tf was that at the end lol
all i sell is frozen shrimp. happy shopping.
Even though I live here on the Gulf Coast, I mostly use smaller, frozen shrimp for my recipes now,
awesome thanks for knorr recipe...how did you guys make the box of pasta roni?
That is a cool product make me want one but the real thing to show off is that beautiful backyard oh my God your property is gorgeous
Thanks! There is actually a pool back there now!
I saw another video saying to look for the ingredients to say only shrimp but in your video you say to look for sodium as an ingredient. I know this videos kinda old but wondering if you’d know why they’d say one thing and you the other
They flash freeze the shrimp in a brine solution. Thats the sodium
Great advice, thanks very much.
You bet!
Ive stayed there before! Beautiful hotel! I loved it
Yes, we do too!
Love that recipe thanks
Thanks! We filmed this wayyy before we started our channel
Do you wait for the shrimp to boil then 2 minutes? Also how long do you soak them after you unplug it? Usually I take my shrimp right out after 2 minutes of boiling them.
I dump the shrimp into a roiling boil and let them cook for 2 minutes before I remove them. The only time I let them soak is if I can almost immediately cool down the water, like with a bag of ice
@@mealsunderpressure thanks. I bought one today and I can’t wait to try it. the Michelob is as inviting as the shrimp.👍
@@jasonmelancon8096 you won't be disappointed. We rent a condo every year in Orange Beach, AL, that doesn't allow propane burners. This works out perfect.
2 minutes for thawed shrimp? How much time for frozen?
Still 2 minutes. The time it takes for the IP to come to "steam" will thaw the shrimp. It is best to use thawed shrimp though as the will hold the seasoning better
I find it's easier to get good flavor on them with steaming. I have had some good boiled ones but I just can't seem to get it right myself.
Boiling is different depending on what seafood you are using, so yes, it can be confusing
Omg you rock!! That’s what I’m making for dinner tonight. Is it ok if I don’t use apple juice? I don’t have any
Absolutely
Extra marinade, (apple cider vinigar, spices) PreHeat 400°. 10 mins on each side. Temp check it for 145°. Drink a beer. Get naked. Sleep with a random stranger. Record it. Sell the video online for more tenderloin and beer.
People who aren’t from Louisiana wouldn’t understand why you said what you said to the Cajuns about the tomatoes but I appreciate you for saying it bro!
You bet!
Yuck!
excellent Recipe "" Thank you Sir.... About to do it..... Slap you Mama" the Best..........
Yes it is!
Bi did what you said it did not rotate. It's because the bar was turning not the chicken. So I wrapped it with bakers twine so the chicken would not budge off the scewer. Good luck to me!
How did it work?
No temper control, looks like the plastic would melt!
That was a concern of mine, but I not see any evidence of that
I shared a pic and photo to Facebook and I shared your video with some of my friends.
Thank you so much!
Thank you SO much for the Cajun boiled peanut recipe. I made some last night and my family ate the entire batch. They were SO GOOD!!
Yup. That mayo works wonders. I mix in my fave seasoning into the mayo ..it makes it more even. Im about to try an old bays chicken using the dukes lol
Old Bay as in the seasoning?
Yessss . I love that pot u cooking in. I use mine all the time. 😊 I'm going to try ur recipe!! Alright na!
Good ol Magnalite, Can't beat em!
Eatin poop
Thanks for the tips
You bet!
This UA-camr is underrated +1 sub
Agreed lol
+2
So has this been tested for plastics in the water after boiling? Doesn’t look like I’d would trust that.
Have no way of testing that. But I did not taste any plastic in the boil water or shrimp
Literally a heating element shoved into a Home Depot bucket😂😂😂😂
I wouldn't trust it. They couldn't have made this same design in a steel bucket.
@@Libertà_sulla_vitathe plastic is food grade and has a higher melting point. A metal bucket would conduct the heat to the outside
Why not just put a heating element in a stainless steel pot? I’m with everyone else here about the plastic. I don’t even use plastic in my microwave anymore
