How to be a Stunlock Tank | All Boss Guide | Shadow of the Erdtree
Welcome! Let's bully the Elden Ring DLC, even if you're not high level. I'll show all 11 Major Boss fights. We start the DLC around level 90, and we get enough additional levels just from beating bosses. So this efficient build is great for boss rushing. You can feel overpowered early.
This build centers around getting staggers and bleed procs, while being able to tank hits. No more waiting for your turn to attack. You can be aggressive and create your own openings. Some bosses can be almost completely stunlocked. The main weapon is the bloodfiend's arm, but in case it gets nerfed again, I also used the star fist and great stars.
If you're starting from a new character, you can follow this video to quickly reach the Elden Ring DLC, but pick the hero class: ua-cam.com/video/FvIPt-WPB-U/v-deo.html
To get strong for the DLC, here's a route for scadutree blessing level 10, plus some defensive items: ua-cam.com/video/5PVYAR1aALY/v-deo.html

NEW Mohg cheese/script - patch 1.13 DLC
Переглядів 93 тис.4 місяці тому
Update: Here's a better guide for this strategy: ua-cam.com/video/FvIPt-WPB-U/v-deo.htmlsi=Q3UBXGAcqGso9PyU&t=1810 It works when your attack power is between 710 and 760 (after buffs), but the closer you are to 730 the better. The old Mohg cheese, where you fall through the map, has been patched. But this strategy works in patch 1.12 DLC. It completely stunlocks Mohg and kills him before 2nd ph...
How to beat Elden Ring in 3 hours | Easy guide
Переглядів 9 тис.10 місяців тому
Want to beat Elden Ring in one session? Not a speedrunner? No problem! Just follow this guide. This run is designed to be fast, yet fairly easy. It doesn't require glitches or summons. It may still take some practice, but this tutorial will guide you step by step. And I'll show tips and strategies for each boss. Here's a google doc with the steps for this run: docs.google.com/document/d/1vT-coj...
He doesn't stagger no matter what. Exact same set up. Did recent patches change this?
Wonderful guide saw the two other guides about tanky and op too i may have 100's of hours in elden ring but your way is definitely helping quicken the process this automatically earns a sub from me
Thank you, excellent guide. New Subscriber.
I was able to loop Mohg at level 1 thanks to this. Hilariously I had more trouble beating Radahn than him. Your guide is fantastic.
Thanks!
The most PERFECT guide to get to the DLC early for repeat players. Repeated everything you said perfect to the T and got there in record time.
Nice going! And thanks for the feedback, glad you found it helpful
Tnx.I did almost everything and i got to DLC. I had a little more Strenght and no Dex Talisman and still got it.The hard part was the final boss-to Stun him with ur first Weapon ART attack, you rly NEED TO WAIT for Second Ring or he will not be stunned.(like you said...just didnt get it until i died 10 times :D)
Has something changed for 1.16? He won’t stagger for me when he’s supposed to and I’m doing everything correctly (as far as I can tell).
I just equipped the Str+5 talisman which put my attack at 756 and it worked on the first try. Thanks for the awesome guide!
Your dexterity can be 19 that was mine at the time I beat him
Now show us how to get around that lobster to get the shackle at RL1 😅.
still work's after patch 1.15

Thank man
Just followed this guide today to access the dlc at level 1. Followed everything (almost) to get all the materials and get to mohg. First part of the strat went clean but botched the second. I panicked into r1 + l2. I staggered him bled him but of course he Nihiled and at that moment i was out of stamina and mohg pulled out the slow flame talons into a jump and through this I somehow survived and staggered him to win! Its thanks to you that i got this far. 3rd try compared to a fully developed build of mine that took 50! Thank you so much.
Awesome, glad it helped! Enjoy your level 1 run
MadSeasonSouls But seriously, great video and really nice editing and vibes!
IT WORKS!!! I DID IT ON PATCH 1.15 Took me exactly 2.5 hours to do, died once to the Erdtree Avatar in Leyndell, and Mohg took 8 or 9 tries because i was nervous and kept messing it up😅 By the way i'm not a pro, i'm not a speedrunner nor a challenge runner, and I consider myself average or just above average for pve Thank you soooo much for this excellent guide, now I can play every run of elden ring with my favorite armor (oathseeker armor) basically from the get go Much respect man, and again thank you
Nice going, that's pretty fast especially for your first time doing the route. Enjoy your playthrough!
@@SoulObsessionGames will do! Thank you for the kind words and the guide, I will definitely come back to this video after a couple of ng cycles
thanks for the good info
Just come across this channel. Despite completing ER multiple times and watching tons of videos, this might be the most relaxing walk through ever created. Appreciate you've only done a handful of videos, but keep it up bud.
Glad you liked it, thanks for much for the encouragement!
Beat Elden ring with faith build guide??
An RL1 character can equip the Omensmirk Mask to get the +2 strength required to reach 12 STR. The 20 DEX pre-physik is harder and is going to eat one of your talisman slots so you'll need all 4 slots available to equip the Radagon Soreseal and either the Prosthesis Wearer's Heriloom or Milicent's Prosthesis to reach the 20 DEX floor. My only question is if using Bloodflame Blade instead of bleed grease is a better option or if the extra damage and bleed buildup messes with the script.
You don't need all that setup for RL1. All you need to add is the blue dancer charm and remove all armor. Otherwise you can use the same equipment. Check the updated video, linked in the description. And in the description of the updated video is a google doc that includes detailed instructions for RL1. I recommend blood grease. Some people have reported that blood flame blade can work, but you may need to adjust your attack power. Generally the strategy works when your attack power is between 710 and 750 AFTER buffs.
that sad momemnt when you start NG+ right before the DLC drops :(
Anyone else finding this not nearly as reliable as it was in 1.13? Seems like the stagger doesn't proc reliably at all. Sill works if you do a bunch of tries though, where 1.13 it was working every single time.
It's still working consistently for me. I doubt the patch has changed anything about the Mohg fight. To help you troubleshoot, make sure you understand what causes Mohg to be unstaggerable. Check the video description.
@@SoulObsessionGames It seems to just be a positioning thing. On the second shackle I was rotating around all the way to the back (maybe the stance counter icked down just enough when I was moving) to avoid a second bleed proc. I stayed on the side and the stagger works. In any case, thanks for this vid as I've used it to speedrun into the DLC several times. Currently finishing up the base game with blacksteel great hammer. ;)
I had that shackle all this time and forgot to use it. Beat the boss after four more attempts. Smh
"warior jar shard" 😭😭😭 you said it so casually, like its means nothing. "just pick it up" 😭poor alexander
Fortunately, this strategy still works without the warrior jar shard. Check the video description. I've even made an updated video which does not recommend the warrior jar shard.
Awesome. Btw works with 740 damage, that's what I had
bad run because it kills Boggart. (jk)
True. You could get the starfist in Leyndell instead.
Thanks for the great guide man! I have over 200h+ hours on ER, it's my fav game, but I was very stressed at the DLC because of the NG+7 dificulty and your video encouraged me to do a new game file. I took more hours than you but I wanna have a more smooth experience. Anyway, great job, earned a sub!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks so much for the sub 👍
I really enjoyed this build. And it did indeed bully. Could you look into a Jolly Co-op build?. There's no stance breaking in Co-op as even if you get one, there's rarely time to hit it. And you need a quick load-out change to deal with Landscape or Boss summoning. Finally, something for those pesky invaders as they ALWAYS land in co-op. Cheers.
Thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed the build! And thanks for the suggestion. This build is good for boss co-op too. You won't get as many staggers, but the bloodfiends arm is still one of the best weapons in the game because of bleed. But you're probably right that it's not as good for PvP. I don't do enough PvP to know what's optimal, but for arcane/strength I've had some success with beastman's curved sword.
Someone may have asked before, but is there a reason to do Margit and Godrick? Since you can just skip straight to Limgrave from that one broken bridge on the right no? They may just be the recommended route for various reasons, likely runes. But is there any reason you can just skip them, say if you wanted to come back and do the entire base game with your super duper dlc build.
The reason to do Godrick is because you need two great runes to enter Leyndell for Mohg's shackle and a somber 7, which is the most difficult somber to obtain early. But if you're not using Mohg's shackle, and you get a somber 7 elsewhere, then you could skip Godrick (and Margit). Thanks for watching!
@@SoulObsessionGames Ah yes, that makes a lot of sense now. Thank you!
I'm not sure if it helps, but if you have Blaidd help you with the bloodhound fight, he gives u a somber stone 2 so u could get your weapon to +2 before stormveil. The video was great, dude!
Thanks very much for watching!
SUCH an amazingly useful video- especially for those like me who wanted to ramp up multiple character builds quickly for the Shadow of the Erdtree. NICE!
Thanks very much, I appreciate that!
A couple of points, viz; The warrior in Temple Town Ruins does not drop a Scadutree fragment. It is found on a corpse on the ruins wall. Raising Faith to 15 will not allow you to use Golden Vow, it needs 25 Faith. Nice, concise video without any stupid slang or overexcited commentary. Well done.
I said 15 faith plus the faith knot crystal tear, which allows the use of golden vow. But you're correct about the scadutree tree fragment in Temple Town ruins. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the video
I don't know if the Mohg's stray has been patched, I just couldn't stagger him before the nihil, had to kill him after it. Anyways I find this guide amazing, right to the point.
Thanks, glad you found the guide helpful! The Mohg script still works, if you're having trouble getting the stagger check near the end of the text document for troubleshooting - usually this happens if your damage is too high or if you use the weapon art too early.
I would keep the dragon that gives you a ton of runes alive by hopping on torrent and hitting the site of grace as soon as the sleeping dragon thing dies to get the runes but not killing it.
Thanks for watching and suggestion! We unlock a better farm in Mohgwyn Palace pretty quickly in this run though.
Mimic plus maliketh black blade, spam aow, seen my dad do this on his first playthrough, that shit was crazy
I can only use moghs shackle once?
You can use it twice
@@SoulObsessionGames I beat him and used it once for some reason I couldn't do it twice
@@SoulObsessionGames anyway thanks for the guide he was so easy
So, I was doing this for 5 times in a row now. Just a few thoughts. I always start as Vagabond. End result (since 2 more str) = 740 AR which works perfectly fine. I achieve the kill (while also preparing quests I might be interested in) in exactly 2 hours. As for mogh, two hints - even though the video makes it clear, but I wasnt able to realize: 1. regenerate your stamina between your "combos" (shackle, r1 r1 r1 r2 > regenerate) 2. after the second "combo" just let him finish ONE animation and AoW right after. (too early/too late = no stagger) #2 was the reason for a few failed attempts at the beginning. Also thanks @Soul Obsession. Great video.
Thanks for the feedback!
Finished the game, had no clue what NG1 was, just looked like the natural thing to do after beating the game. Found out I had no graces, so I put the game aside. DLC comes out, buy it, cant play it because I dont have the bosses. Refund the game, try to see if I should try to beat the game at NG1, but would not let me load my save state because I was missing the DLC. Had to buy the DLC to access my save state. Fun times
Hey there, in case you are playing with a strength build and you don't want to invest too much in Dex, and kept the Bloodhound Fang upgraded only to +9; you can get the 730 AR with: 50 STR and 17 DEX (12 + Prosthesis)
Great.👍
AWESOME, Thanks.
You can cheese mogh by jumping below the map while casting heal, it's a glitch.
So I'm doing my fifth run of the DLC and the first time I commented on this video which was for my 2nd run everything worked perfectly and I didn't even have the exact same damage as you but for some reason now I followed everything to a T but I found out I upgraded my strength by 5 more then u and for some odd reason, I'm doing a lot of damage to him, but he just won't stagger. I've did it about 15 times now I've used blood bloodflame blade, Also blood grease just to change it up. I even tried removing the seal which left me at a total attack of 720 and he won't stagger I could not get that stagger once and I did everything to T. My damage totaled out to be 766. Anyways, I end up beating him solo with this set up, but I just had to heal through the blood loss because I did not have the tear because I'm used to him now but I was just so bummed that I was trying to get him or just like the video and I just couldn't get him to stagger for some reason just like the other times . And I did everything exactly like you walk in front of him use the shackle hit him three times then with one heavy as the fourth then walk behind him wait for the ring then do same thing then walk to his left and weapon art but still no stagger don't know why
Sounds like your damage is too high. This will trigger the "duo" animation too early and make him invulnerable to stagger. Remember, this strategy works best if your attack power is around 730 AFTER buffs. From my testing, it works between 710 and 750. I recommend blood grease, not bloodflame blade. Some people have reported success with bloodflame blade, but you might need to reduce your attack power to compensate. You can also check the troubleshooting section near the end of the text document linked in the description.
Such a useful video and much better than what I usually do to "speedrun" my way to my desired build levels. The breakdown at the end helped me understand where I was goofing up on Mohg. I was using charged heavies by mistake. Got it the very next try after reviewing that part. Also ran out of grease, so used Bloodflame Blade and it worked out, though I did have to give him one more ligh attack just before he got off the first cast of his phase transition.
Thanks so much for the feedback, and glad you found it helpful!
"Kill Irina" Lost Us there chief, just do the belfry.
I'm way overleveled for this tutorial. Plus I have an extra talisman spot that I've added star scourge heirloom 2 but I still have a problem with breaking his stance. I just can't do it 😭
Did you check your attack power as shown in the video? Ideally it should be around 730 (after any buffs), but it can also work between 710 and 750. If you're not getting the stagger, check the video description for troubleshooting.
@@SoulObsessionGames thanks I'll check it out
@@SoulObsessionGames I think I found the problem. I've been using drawstring blood grease instead of normal blood grease and I haven't been giving myself time to regain stamina
Good video(again) i will buy the dlc and you are the reason bro 🎉
Wow thanks, hope you enjoy the DLC!
fantastic reference video, thanks very much!
Man you really deserve more subs. I’m shocked you’re not at 100k with how well your vids flow
Thanks, I appreciate the awesome encouragement!
Just used this to beat him at rl1. Big thanks, felt great to do it with such a straightforward setup.
Awesome thanks for the feedback, and congrats on your RL1 victory!
