Interesting. I can't remember how we came to believe it was I010. I think I heard it on my scanner. But my son also had a friend over in Amsterdam, telling us what was headed our way, including train ID's, so we may have gotten it from him. But if you think it's unlikely to have been I010, I can't argue with you since I'm a Massachusetts guy. :-) That's only my third time railfanning in the Albany area. Always an enjoyable time though!

Thanks for the reply! I've caught L010 and L011 there individually, but I hadn't caught them on the same day like that. So it was cool how it all came together. And then it was fun to go to Readville as I hadn't been there in 2-3 years and hadn't caught a loaded L010 there before.

hi Stephen. You're quite welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed it. That is actually the second biggest consist I've ever seen for that train (33 being the longest). It goes up to Leominster on I believe Mon, Wed and Fri and only goes to I believe Clinton on Tue and Thu. The trains are longer on the Leominster days as they have two or maybe three customers up that way.

One more thing. If you follow my channel, wait for my next L004 video. It features the second shortest instance of this local train that I've ever videoed.

I was indeed excited to finally catch the bluebirds in action as I had been to Palmer seven times without spying them at all since the last time I saw MCER in person. @@oscarobrien That is not the same train. The one you're referring to is a branch line that goes northwest from Framingham to Leominster. The train that goes on that line is called L004. I have other videos of that train on my channel.

I believe because there was no room in the yard for them. A westbound train (M439?) was working in the yard (which isn't very large) so I suspect this train had to wait for that other one to head west before entering the yard.

No kidding! I've caught CSX M427 and that train there recently. The "screechiest" place I've ever been, including Horseshoe Curve!

Yeah I mistakenly carried "UP" forward from the prior train in my log. I've corrected to BNSF now. Also, we would have had somewhat of a lull if we had gone there that morning, but nothing on the order of the Berkshire Sub!

Our trip was fantastic! And yes, we saw the Tunnel Inn while we were in Gallitzin. We stayed at the Station Inn in Cresson, which was also awesome for trains. And we have the beginning of a plan to stay at the Bridgeview Bed & Breakfast in Marysville on a future PA railfan trip. We dropped by that area (Rockville Bridge) on our way home and there's heck of a lot of train action there too!

Yeah, thanks. I got all tied in a knot on documenting that Acela as two of them passed around the same time, one NB and one SB. But I only videoed one of them as the other one caught me off-guard. For some reason that station always messes me up when it comes to figuring out which way a train was going when I look back at a video!

Actually I remember now; I figured that out not long after I published the video. At that time, I corrected the direction in the train details in the Description but I didn't want to bother updating the direction in iMovie and publish again, especially since I believe YT does not allow republishing a video (& replacing the original); I would have had to delete the original and publish the new version separately.
