Oregon's Defense needs to be better, possibly much better. Linebackers are good, not great. DB's are good, not great (also too small for the evolving college game). I feel confident that Oregon is reloading on the D-Line. Some concern on preparedness for this game. The month-long wait before the game simply did not help. At the end of the day, Ohio State had better overall players and the coaches had them prepared and focused. As my old Offensive Line coach would say:" Keep your head up and keep your feet driving!". Very proud of Oregon. Room for improvement and I believe it will happen.

In 2006, Ohio State went wire to wire as the #1 team, and remained undefeated going into the post season. They beat #2 Texas on the road and beat #2 Michigan in one of the most epic rivalry games ever played. During championship week, teams 2-5 lost, which defaulted Florida into the #2 spot, setting the stage for the national championship. Ohio State got skull dragged 41-14 with Heisman winner Troy Smith completing a whopping 4 passes, and ending with negative rushing yards. I say that to say thing, that game happened almost 20 years ago, and I remember it vividly because it DID ruin our season. Nothing else we did that year mattered. Not even the Heisman, similar to Mariotta’s in 2014.

Oregon had the easiest schedule in the B10. Your hardest games here at home. To be real I fired Dan Lanning he can't coach and he's been given a free pass because he was from the SEC. People forget... building a dominant roster is a process. It takes more than 3 years. Ohio State got their asses whooped by Alabama in the 2021 CFP matchup. It's a process. Oregon's secondary needs more speed and length. The truth is, there are some ballers waiting their turn. I expect UO to take a small step forward next season in this regard. O-line remains a question into the future.

I've seen Alabama lose to Auburn and Texas lose to Oklahoma without making excuses. Don't agree with the Michigan comments in this video.
