Only Hawkeye went to save Bucky originally. Then they got in trouble and Cap opened a portal from Wakandan and happened to save both of them. Once in wakandan cap did give him a new arm. Maybe Hydra will play a bigger role. But they kinda defeated the monster already and then they simply left to focusing on other story moments like Knull. I wouldn't be surprised if Hydra is not super important going forward.

@@ThePanacean all fair criticisms of the characters. Some of the changes could be because they just want to have it slightly differently. For example in Rivals Magiks teacher was Dr. Strange for a while. Don't know if it'll be important later, but it's just a small change. As of the Moon Knight, so far it is under Konshus orders. IDK why though. Maybe the justification will be "protect the innocent's who aren't vampires. Stop the casualties" mindset? A little twisted, but justification sometimes is. Good comment though. I'm interested to see how far and how close characterization will be from the comics moving forward.

Doctor Strange was actually a teacher to Magik in the comics, too (which is why I’m a bit foggy on how much of her history was preserved for her current Chronoverse; if her history as Strange’s student is intact and she remembers Logan and the X-Men, it’d stand to reason she’d also remember being Magneto’s pupil). There are even alternate futures in which she succeeds him as Sorceress Supreme and in the present-day, she was a teacher at Strange Academy. If it were up to Khonshu, Marc Specter wouldn’t even spare his vampire friends, so him giving them a job at the Midnight Mission is an act in defiance of Khonshu’s will. That’s why I figure it’d have to be him controlling Moon Knight or something, since he ordinarily wouldn’t simply follow his orders if they conflicted with his moral compass. As for my personal opinion, I think the writers just didn’t consider those things or read those specific comics beforehand, so they went with what they assumed the characters would do. Not a knock against them or anything (there are other characters they clearly did their reading on, like Hulk); just a simple oversight or lore blindspot that’s pretty easy to have. Most people would assume Moon Knight would be on the “kill all vampires” side if they aren’t familiar with his current supporting cast and it seems like they’re more familiar with the modern Magik stuff than her older material (there’s a line about Belasco, for example, that makes it sound like she trusts him over Strange despite him having been her jailer and tormentor as a child).

I think that's because he gets tech from the intergalactic wakandan empire maybe? During his and captain America's story. One reason I don't think he's from 2099 is Hawkeye was sent to rescue him. Hawkeye remembers fighting with a version of Captain America, but the Cap in game never woke up after WW2 until 2099. So that Cap is confirmed to not be from where Hawkeye is from. Therefore my logic is Hawkeye is definitely not from 2099 chronoverse. Hawkeye was sent to get Bucky. Bucky is also (probably) not from the 2099 chronoverse. I could be wrong though.

I'm uncertain on if the wakandan and 2099 are the same, but it's possible. I am certain that Krakoa was in the Eternal night chronoverse and was transported to the 2099 chronoverse. Which chronoverse should it be a part of though? Where it's from? Eternal night. Where it landed? 2099 Or should it be considered its own thing? I know it's not my decision to make. The story and developers have declared its in the 2099 now, so it's 2099. I was not aware of this at the time of this video and so the video has it wrong. Personally, I imagine it's its own thing. Anyway. This is way to long of a reply, I know. I just really like the lore.

Galacta wants to eat them. So she's recreating the major battles with different heroes so she doesn't have to eat the original universe. (Which is why she's the announcer. She's watching the battles for entertainment before she eats) It's the most basic part of the game and I find it is a band aid solution to allow the combat. A while ago I tried to find a video that explained the characters lore, but instead all the videos were just about Galacta and the two Dooms. So I made my video about the characters and their lore. Not the cop out answer for how the game can exist.

Good question! I don't know. Probably not since all these variations of combat are happening

@Just.Westin I would've thought so, with my limited knowledge, before a round starts on one of the wakanda maps it seems like a time door opens up behind the character in the selection screen. But that's prolly my MCU brain talkin. Thanks for answerin

She is in the trailer, but not in the lore. That trailer is focusing on how awesome it is to have all these characters fight each other in these cool settings. I think the trailer is mostly representing gameplay, not story. Or at least Magik is not in New York yet. . 1 out of 3 chapters are released for each character. So maybe she will be in normal New York in the future, but not yet.

I can't wait for the next set of chapters!

While that would be fun and cool, I have been inspired by this advice from a UA-camr "the video you can make is better than the video you can't." I am a very small UA-cam channel just making stuff I would like to see. I don't have the money, connections, or the experience to work with others yet. But again, it does sound fun.

Galacta wants to eat but doesn't want to eat universes. So she is recreating moments from the Rivals universe, our games are the recreated variations that she enjoys watching (and eating?) I think this is the general story but I'm not super sure as I am not that interested.

they both want to save the world, but in different way with different consequences. The clear example is on Midtown map: F4 and other wants to turn vampire effect of via sciency stuff, but it takes a long time. Moon knight (the protector of nights) however wants to kill all vampires as soon as possible (even the one that used to be human).

There was very little info on the entanglement in the character stories, which is what this video focused on obviously. I've thought about doing something for that, but there are tons and tons of videos on Doom and Doom99 causing it from many creators. so I don't think I will. Edit: thanks for your compliments. @@jyrlan2596 I searched marvel rivals story. Two creators named Marvel Central and Scyan were fairly good. A bit more energetic than my style, but they go over the doom story and some others. Id say just watch any video that intrigues you? Maybe add "Doom vs doom" to your search bar. Best of luck!

Excellent question. That has a kinda "band-aid" solution that you've probably heard already. Galacta needs to eat. But she doesn't want to consume universes like Galactus does. So instead she is "recreating?" The events that happened in the Marvel Rivals universe for entertainment. And she is eating the energy that these replicas create? I'm not too certain all of those details were exactly right, but that's the jist of it.

Yeah Galacta says in the final gallery card for S0 she is using the Power Cosmic to simulate the battles over and over for satiation, I think.

How else can I stop recording?
