Stomp! is finally gone from the Orpheum! How many decades was it there? And Baczynsky's does have the best kielbasa. My old neighborhood! The area was once known as "Klein Deutschland": Little Germany, back in the late 19th century. On St. Mark's Place near 3rd is an old German Shooting Club - just past Funky Town. Just one omission: Across the street (to the left) of the new St. John's Univ. building is the original Cooper Union building, where Lincoln debated in 1859 (?). Then he went to McSorley's for some ale.
ANTONIO, BY THE WAY, JOHNS DELI IS NOT THE SAME EITHER!! THE PLACE WAS SOLD TO ARMANIANS!! The ORIGINAL OWNER OPENED A PLACE IN BAY RIDGE ON 13th Avenue!! The new owner are rude.
"Antonio" you dont know what you are talking about! The so-called "mafia" did not bother the citizens and they DID keep order!! I am MUCH older than you and I could enlighten you on your racist attitude towards italians. You are what we in the old days classified as "guineas " (aka Italians that Were ashamed or put down their own culture). Wow, you visited and praised a MAFIA PIZZERIA L&B SPIUMONI,..do you know the owner was knocked off a few years ago!? The old Bensenhurst was 100 TIMES BETTER THAN WHAT IT IS TODAY!!
NOTHING LIKE THE GREAT OLD NEIGHBORHOOD. NOTHING LOOKS, FEELS OR TASTES THE SAME.!!
Beautiful!!! Love the sound they make❤️ lucky to have been on them, looong time ago 😁😉cool post 👍👍
no police cars
very few in Staten Island.
Loved it! Thank you! Nice walk! ❤
Glad you enjoyed it.
Thx for the video , my daughter us visiting new York and she has the amc pass so she see s what it looks like insideabd around and we are from los Angeles .

I was a cop there for two summers in the early 1990’s. Great times. Really enjoyed it, except for the hoodlums who ruin other peoples fun. I haven’t been to Coney in twenty years. I must admit, it looks good. Probably better then when I was there😂.
I hear ya, it’s definitely a different place now. I remember it much worse in the 90s.
Great movie , very funny . Rodney was a comic genius. He's understating it a bit , best Italian pastries in all of North America
I knew they were around for a long time I’ve never actually seen a wooden one
These are some of the oldest in the world.
Times Square is a magical place
It sure can be.
Very nice. As for loud volume in the theater I recommend bringing ear plugs. The decibel levels can be dangerous to the human ear in terms of long term ear damage
Good idea.
che spettacolo!! what a show!
@@Romafood era un piacere
Always fun hangin out with Antonio
Thanks Paul.
That place is Huge
There's a whole other side to it lol
This was pretty cool. Cheers, Antonio!
Nice
No doubt, definitely a changing neighborhood, my uncle purchased a house there back in 69, when he got back from Vietnam, great neighborhood.
My old haunts
Very nice. Haven’t been to Boston in such a long time. Love the area
Small town, lots to see
That's so cool. Magicians are awesome. My oldest friend from the neighborhood is a magician. He was into magic even when we were kids in the 70s. To this day, he's still the only person I've ever known who grew up to be exactly what he wanted to be.
Same here, I was always into watching magicians perform both tricks and stunts. I saw David Blaine perform two stunts in Manhattan. There's good money in it, performing at parties and such. Not much competition.
That was awesome ! Thank you 😎
Yeah he was a trip
@Antonioonthego no doubt! One day I'll make my way out to the East side.
SI looks peaceful af.
It depends where. But for the most part, yes it is.
Thanks for the tour
This was awesome. Cheers, Antonio! 👍👍✌️
Thanks, Dwayne. I love Boston.
Just so you know, the second I clicked on video the first words that popped up on the screen were “hard poop” in an ad😂
I wonder if you will do a review of Reginas
I did that one.
Keep going, love this channel! Greetings from Italy
Ciao Alessandro, my parents were born in Italy. I hope to continue to make more videos soon.
Thanks for posting. I haven't been back since '95. Brought back some great memories.
Great to hear! I'm glad you appreciated it.
@@Antonioonthego 🙂
Italians gave up the neighborhood for the infamous suitcase of Chinese cash.....Given by the Chinese government at 0% and no pay back.......How stupid are we. ......Yea they work hard we all worked hard took years to buy a house for us........Enjoy your shitboxes in NJ AND STATEN ILAND......You dum bastards
I lived in New Dorp / Grant City [Prescott Ave., just south of the tracks] 1969-1974. None of this was there back then - it was 50 years ago after all - but I'm sure the residential streets haven't changed much. If you do another video please go there. I attended PS 41 and Egbert JHS, and would have attended New Dorp HS if we had not left the city.
None of this was there just several years ago, it's a new plaza. I plan to do a walk along New Dorp Lane soon.
@@julie3895 Mike's Diner closed, but Hanley's Universe is still there.
Geno's roll looked pretty bad to me. Based on that alone, I would choose Pat's.
Yeah, the beef tastes good but the bread out in Philly is mostly sub-par, unless you're at Angelo's and some other places.
Thanks
Welcome!
Gorgeous footage around the Deli area! The street lamp and brick in the street totally ads to the ambiance.
I know, it really is a special place.
I Love this lighthouse! I have been there many times.❤
@@selinam3696 I love it too, and Portland. I filmed a whole video.
I grew up on 7th ave and 43rd street.
Respectfully, i was disappointed with this video. You didn't walk the streets with any stories of Mafioso or Bath St Crew etc etc. I know what an elevated subway looks like and can visit Canal St for the same shops. John's Deli and L&B are legendary, true. Thanks for your efforts, anyway. How many years did you live in Bensonhurst? Oh yeah, 20 yrs ...that was repeated 20x. Lol
You picked great dishes. The Makloubeh is considered the national dish of Palestinians. There are different variations, eggplant and chicken is the best and cauliflower a distant 2nd. The pink or red pickles are giant radishes
