My Native American family lives on the reservation next to Valentine, I would always go on trips to Valentine and enjoy the scenery. When the game RDR2 was released, they had a town named Valentine in the Heartlands and a reservation nearby, so that always resonated with me whenever I played the game

I've traveled the country on my motorcycle. I have to say, Northwest Nebraska (up through the Sandhills) is one of the coolest areas that I've ever ridden through. You can go several miles without seeing another human and the landscape is absolutely beautiful!! Honestly, it feels like you're stepping back in time.

Had family that worked/ran their original homestead cattle ranch on 16B road. It was like my Disneyland; got to drive tractors, trucks, 4 wheelers as I 'helped' cowboy with my brother-in-law. Plus they built a couple of world class golf courses just as I began to travel there. Spent many days visiting & loving the Sand Hills. Afraid Valentine itself is pretty much in decline since my 1st days, 20 years ago.

The forest is open. As a person who somewhat lives in Halsey and my family still lives there. Our community was and is still devastated by the losses of life and land from the fire. Hoping to rebuild what was great❤ and what is still great in our eyes and hearts.

I lived in the old state farm in the 60s as a 5 year old. I caught my first fish at the dam with my dad ! My dad was in the Navy. He was a recruiter there and we rented that house. I remember playing in the barn and falling through one of the holes on the upper floor, where they would hoist hay a up, I have really good memories of that house for the short time we lived in it

Be sure to check out the "Vegas Alley" at night! It's just to the left of that whitish/beige building in the distance at 1:15. The alley is artistically done and looks great at night with the neon lighting. A must see alley if you're in town at night.

At some point the Halsey Forest is going to be discovered as an example of the kind of thing people could do to alleviate climate change. Pre-planting, it looked like all the treeless areas of the sand hills outside the forest boundaries. Trees are a great carbon capture tool. We could go and make many other Halseys in the central plains of NE/KS/OK for example

CO2 IS a natural element. It IS fertilizer for plants. In the past, CO2 levels were much higher than man can make it. Much. C Is a religion whereas 'believers' such as yourself lecture others/sinners... while for a FACT, you do not limit YOUR CO2 footprint near as much as you could.

@@duaneanddarlene6114 I know that. I was trying to ask the UA-camr if they had any idea why they were there. When I was little my Dad and I used to run yearlings under that bridge. One fine weekend morning we came to check on them and a good number of our yearlong had broke through the fence and were on top of the tracks. So we rushed as fast as we could to get them off the tracks before a train came along and made hamburger out of our cattle.

We used Epidemic sound for the background music. The sound track was a part of a group of music that was labeled soundtracks. I am sorry but we no longer use this company and I can’t answer your question about the song title. I liked this music as well it reminded me of Copland’s Fanfare for the common man.🎵
