@46:00 Where did you get this entourage file from? Can I download it?
Hi! I left an illustrator file in the description with the vectors I used in the plans and rhino file.
Super interesting! Please also do the next one on rendering in Vray. 😊
Thank you so much.
Thank you for your support!
hi where can I get the 3D objects?🙏
Hi, I just used 3d SketchUp Warehouse. Search for blocks you want, download .skp file and and import the file into Rhino. (File > import ) It will come in as a Mesh. You can modify the models as you like 3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/
So interesting!!
Thank you! I have a full video explanation, see link below 👇 ua-cam.com/video/JbZgdDVqhVo/v-deo.html

Hey my Boolean difference command is failing constantly what do I do
Hi Which part of the video are you referring to? At 25:00 it's the booleansplit command . Did you try Booleansplit instead of Booleandifference? When you do a Boolean split, you need to make sure what you're splitting is an actual solid, and make sure that the splitting element is intersecting and extending on all sides so that it can properly split the solid.
this is awesome, thank you!
Thank you so much, I'm really glad this is helpful. Please help spread the channel!
Man, thank you, I was seeking a Rhino workflow tutorial for architects, Grasshopper is a plus.
I'm really glad that it helps. If you want more rhino workflow, I have an entire landform building from the scratch video that will help as well as a rhino command primer video.
More of these please.. only rhino. They look illustrator quality
I love your channel!

theres a dashed line around my silhouette for some reason and idk how to fix it, i copied the exact settings
Thank you so much! I am going to pin this so others can see the work-around. There are 2 solutions. You might see the dashed lines because of the hidden line feature. 1 - See screenshot in link drive.google.com/file/d/1hEjqC8OXgNCFjYAdiURsS1BSZJ99kojV/view?usp=sharing Make the hidden line color the same as your edge line color, but make sure it's the smallest line weight. So for example, Hidden line = 1.00, Edge lines = 2.00, Silhouette Lines = 5 Also, if you want your silhouette to "pop" more, you can make it a slightly darker hue compared to the other colors. or 2 - Turn off hidden lines Hope this helps!
Great content. I have some questions. 1. Is Indesign way better for jury architecture posters. Or can i stick to PS for organizing. 2. i see alot of of these nice 2d drawings with different shades are they necessary for portfolios if i know how to submit rendered 2ds with all arch symbols dims etc..? Thank you
1. InDesign is used for publication and layout design ( books, magazines, posters, etc) because it can handle both vector (linework) and raster (image) based files. And it's much easier to lay things out in InDesign compared photoshop or illustrator. There is an alternate to InDesign called Affinity Publisher. 2. Your architecture portfolio (for undergraduate submission) should represent and reflect 2 things: A - Your creative thought process through different mediums (drawing, model, photography, etc) and B. The curriculum of the architecture school If you're applying to a school that emphasizes design from a conceptual standpoint, then make sure your portfolio communicates conceptual design even if your project's aesthetics are technical. If you're applying to a program that focuses on pragmatics and assembly, like how a building is put together, then make sure your portfolio displays your technical drawing acumen, whether it's detail drawings, exploded axonometrics, or sections and plans. 3. Your portfolio for jobs should strictly cater to what the firm is asking for in the job description and the kind of work the firm pursues. Don't send a conceptually-driven portfolio to a firm that only designs and builds boiler-plate office parks. And don't submit boiler-plate development work and bathroom details to a firm that does lots of international competitions. Hope this helps!
@@unitedstatesofdesign Thanks God bless you for the indepth explanation.
😍😍😍👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
My Boolean didn’t make the arch sharp in both rhino 8 & 7
Which areas do you want to be sharp, the corners or at the intersection? You can make the intersection more sharp if you change the profile of the arch from a rounded arch to a pointed Arch. Just start with a basic curve and extrude it, copy and rotate 90 degrees, and use the boolean2objects or booleansplit command.
Great video and great content, keep it up
Thank you!
Keep making videos bro, especially on Rhino and Grasshopper. I like how you mention the probable construction materials and methods for the geometry.
Thanks, your support means a lot. I'll definitely be uploading more rhino videos that emphasize assembly and some rendering videos as well.

@@unitedstatesofdesign would do! thank you
Thank you very much for the video. I am an architecture student and I would like to know how to improve my design process, if you have any recommendations, whether it be a video, book or reference, it would help me a lot. Thank you.
I made a video on desk crits that really tackle the design process. It takes time to find a flow that works for yourself. But a balance of story telling, precedent research, and design iterations, even if they're not the best, is always the best foundation in the design process. I actually show an example in the Desk Crit video of how to approach design iterations.
Great video! I love all content in this channel, please continue.
Thank you so much! Glad it helps!
I subscribed for the AMAZING Rhino tutorials (the best on yt btw) but this type of video is a very pleasant surprise. This channel is rapidly becoming my favourite!
