The have changed something that was considered gold according to hardcore fan-base, just like Starwars. But why let the hardcore fan-base down? Your hardcore fanbase is always your prio nr.1 regardless if its Lotr, starwars or a big computergame like world of warcraft. You would understand this if you knew economics and why loyal fans is the most important ones. Let you fans down and you get shiite review which in turns into less profit. I have to disagree with your ranking, and I have to correct it: Movie 1- You Decide. Movie 2 - This is a good movie. And I also do not like the disrespect to Skypiea arc, one of the best One Piece sagas. Super. Movie 3 - Very underrated. You decide. Movie 4 - Super. Wished Zoro and Sanji were part of the final battle, though. Movie 5 - Poor story execution and magic is out of place in the One Piece World. Lose it. Movie 6 - Masterpiece. Super. Movie 7 - At least there's actual archeological adventure and riddle solvings. Meh villains. You Decide. Movie 8 - Poor Alabasta recap. Lose it. Movie 9 - Alternate Drum Kingdom arc. You Decide. Movie 10 - So good, but we have seen these story beats before. And Zoro and Sanji just easily beat their opponents. Still Super, though. Movie 11 - Haven't watched it. Can't judge it. Movie 12 - The best One Piece movie. Z is awesome. Super. Movie 13 - One Piece meets heist movies. A despicable villain. Super. Movie 14 - Storywise, it's somewhat lacking, but a very monumental One Piece experience with great action. Super. Movie 15 - Super.

The pacing of the Remaster is dog sh*t! It is just a watch down and done. There is no time to build up any emotion or hype. It is a senseless combination of importent scenes without any logic and thats it. Music cuts, scene skipping, it feels like a hardcore censored version of One Piece. It just looks good, thats all and thats bad!

My by far favorite era of the King of The Monsters is definitely the Millennium Era as it has one the most iconic Godzilla roar and design am i right everyone

She's become the perfect mid point between Black Sun and Shadowmoon. As both characters had very good points along the way. There are organizations out there who are... Organized. Trained. Ready. And there is not a force thats ready to stop them because any org that works for the state is possibly corrupted and even if they're not officially corrupted, they're not likely to be proponents of protecting the disenfranchised or marginalized. Why? Because the state, in any country, exists to serve power and order. So at the end, she's Big Boss (if you're a Metal Gear fan) or Che Guevara (if you're a history fan with class consciousness). That's why the ending is heroic.

Completly agree with you. The problem with this movie wasnt that it was woke (it wasnt, hera is not a mary sue and she constantly gets overpowered and overshadowed by men). The problem was it had no great battle scenes (wtf, it's lotr), no deep characters, no high stakes, no adventure and no fantasy feeling

I was actually looking forward to this. To see the West finally catch up with Japan by having an animated badass female lead who wasn't Disneyfied, but all the promotions I saw went on and on about how diverse the movie and the cast were and I just lost interest. Not interested in modern audience slop 🤮 And yes there's a female lead. A big thank you to all the marketing folks, media and cast members who let us all know how revolutionary and brave that is. Being pontificated to by the holier than thou media and entertainment industry is always a pleasure. I'm glad someone enjoyed this. I had my fill of 2020s adaptations of Tolkien with Rings of Power. I bet Hunt for Gollum will 100% flop at the box office too. Edit: Glad to see it doing so poorly and losing money.

If the human and Kaijin role were reversed, I would've liked it better. Like "dude I can turn into a humanoid monster and I'm probably way stronger then a normal human". They did the discrimination way better in the original when the humans captured the whale kaijin and started treated him badly. It showed that "No matter what side you're on. Both sides can do evil when given a chance".

It's a tragic ending, wherein there's no other alternative than to go terrorist. I wonder if was inspired by Japanese history, the 50s and 60s wherein there were lots of riots and protests, influenced by leftist radicalism. I also wonder if it is a setup for a possible sequel.

TPM is great. Sets up the Saga perfectly. You're supposed to watch the films I-VI, in Chronological Order. Episode I is the beginning and sets up Lucas's 13 hour epic.

The way I saw it was that Kotaro was an incredibly reactive person. While he certainly had his reasons to be so, it ultimately resulted in the events of Black Sun playing out the way they did. And as we see in the ending, they're going to happen again if nothing changes. Aoi, in contrast, has always been positioned as incredibly proactive. And in all the ways that would be considered morally correct within her society. However, as the show makes blatantly clear, the evils of their world run so much deeper than what simple platitudes and speeches can combat. Which is why we get the ending that we do. The use of child soldier imagery is grim, but that's kind of the point. It's a grimdark setting.
