I was making this comparison on another post...the Borg are much like the Replicators. They both infiltrate and adapt. Edit: I think you're right, the Borg would have to assimilate or ally with a species that knows Replicator weaknesses. Otherwise Replicators would take over all Borg worlds. And unlike the Borg, Replicators have shown that they can evolve on their own (hence the humanoid Replicators). And they fashioned their technology after the Lantians.

For any STO players if u use Beam overload 3 and a scatter volley and torp spread with three dual beam covert phasers and the wide arc phase cannons and Lorca's torp along with preferential targeting and mixed armament synergy n narrow sensor bands this thing is BEAST that fits the space Barbie theme with those red phasers from Picard that we see the La Sirena use, along with the sound too, go ahead and try....wut do u got to lose. The Phase cannons on Scatter clean up wut the overload can overlook. LoL 🖖

I love mine in Star Trek Online, I'm flying her as the U.S.S. Nathan Hale from the first episode of Picard S2, The story of the real Nathan Hale was of a patriot who volunteered to spy for General Washington and paid for it with his life bcuz of a snitch that knew him n out'd him. Yet bcuz of his last words "My only regret, is that I have but one life to give for my country" something along those lines, since the info came from an enemy officer I don't see any reason for it to jus b an exaggeration or outright lie, I mean why would the enemy talk good about a spy? It was seen an an illegal war crime by the Brits n u were immediately put to death whereas an enemy officer caught would b treated with the respect that his rank deserves. Sorry for the rant but it's why I chose the name, cuz I believe u should stand up for your beliefs, rights, religion, and or yur moral code.
