1900-2200 is just a hotspot of cheaters tbh. I actually friend requested a new account that beat me and skyrocketed to 2150ish because i honestly thought it was a legit account as even though he kept winning, it was with far from perfect play. And then a few days later I get a message saying i was refunded points and I find out it's the dude I friend requested lol. Can't trust anyone at 1900+
@@hmmm3210 yeah I think I experienced more of them at this range than any of the previous ranges, just what it is I guess
Bad luck man just a bit sloppy at the moment. Slumps are the worst lol. You'll bounce back I promise ya chief
@@r0bz0rly IDK man, I felt like this video wasn't awful lol
@@Blunder_Man nah it wasn't, but I know you are capable of better. I feel like you're starting to get into time trouble a little bit more again, maybe just practicing your opening lines a bit more will give you that extra 30-60 seconds that will help in the endgame? idk i'm a fraction of your rating hahah
@@r0bz0rly you're right... It's mostly been time that's causing me losses, but yeah, I do think there are just ups and downs! I'm getting back in to the swing of it all!
Great video! Nelson is something isn't he!
Thanks brother!! Yeah he's so solid!
Who were the cheaters?
@@Tommy12561 two games that I actually didn't post because I wasn't recording at the time. Both Australians haha
42:49 your reaction was hilarious 😂
He was pure greedy lol 😂😂😂
Perhaps 10/5 or any other increment could help with the endgame time trouble to secure you some of the draws
Yeah, but also it allows the game to be less stressful for my opponent too, I first need to utilize my time better than my opponent
Missing crazy tactics is fine, but a simple fork? You have to see game winning stuff like that. Idk how many puzzles you do per day but I reccomend doing like 50 fork puzzles on lichess every day for some time, just drill that shit into your head so your miss rate goes from 20% to 2%
Pobodies nerfect, but yeah, I don't always have time brother, but I do what I can
Good draw on the first one, missed mate in second, crushed it in the third. Not too bad
Not terrible!!!
Good Games Owen. I think you should 15/10. 🙂
Yeah... I go back and forth on this
Almost 900, thanks for the videos
Let's go!! Keep it up man!
You must be a Simon Williams fan
I am indeed! My favorite GM
Rapport's Stonewall is awesome. I've never seen somebody trying to dodge it by castling long. In this game, it didn't save your opponent. Your positional play crushed him anyway, what btw is a another thing I haven't seen before.😁 Great game!
It's such an exciting opening!! I'm gonna be playing it a lot more!! Glad you enjoyed it!!
@Blunder_Man I'm studying the Leningrad Dutch sidelines at the moment. The main lines with g3 are rare at my level, so there's not much sense studying them now. But I need something, should the mainlines appear every now and then. That "something" is the Rapport Stonewall. And yes, I enjoyed your game and found it thought provoking.❤️
@omamoka63 it's an extremely fun opening! Check ginger gms videos on it if you haven't already!!
stop biting your nails Owen! but I can understand with some of the games you have been playing recently. Love the channel

Mr chess definitely has GM potential, might need to sneak him into OTB games
If only hahaha
In honor of Mr. Chess it would be nice to switch chess board, at least when he's on your shoulder, in brown and white😊. Very instructive and interesting games as usual, I think you inspire many of beginners enthusiast players, I included!
@@marcianistrate1392 haha, I'm glad the video was helpful!! I'll consider it lol
WIld stuff. Congrats on both games, well played. Think I'll have to get a lizard...
Yes brother, it's the way!!
Crushed the first game, missed opportunities in the second game. Fun games
Yes... Exactly haha
On that last game you missed a nice tactic. At 26:43 instead of playing Ke1, you had to play Rxa7 allowing his rook to take your pawn on h6 then play Ra6 forking his king and rook. If he notices this, then you simply go back with your rook.
Ooo, yeah the skewer you mean!! Nice vision!!
Mr Chess is just secretly the Komodo chess engine in disguise.
@@AverageBishop- he's my secret sauce
Hey these are my favorite videos on of yours, I love watching your OTB recaps. However just a few things that I didn’t like, a little bit of too much explaining about the openings etc specially at the beginning about the caro kan. At the start of the 3rd game you kinda spoil that you play bad or something indicating that you lost. I don’t wanna know if you won or lost before you do the recap, I like the suspense of not knowing!
Thanks so much for this feedback! I'll try to improve them going forwards and keep this in mind!

It wasn't only a lucky checkmate. Christof Sielecki describes the 150 attack as follows: "After 4. Be3, it is essential to realize that the natural move 4. -- Bg7 does not fit the bill. There is a concrete problem: White has the aggressive attacking plan of 5. Qd2, followed by Bh6 and the murderous h4- h5 attack." The proof is in the pudding, they say, and your first game left nothing hanging in the air. Great game!
@omamoka63 thanks man!!! I think you'll particularly like day 12 of this series!! I have been experimenting with Rapport's Stonewall Dutch!! I had to get ahead and do two videos as I'm busy this week, but it's quite an exciting one!
