Could any of you DaVinciResolve experts (interested in solving difficult challenges) take about 5minutes to help me with the following problem that I am currently being confronted with? (Thank you so much in advance! ❤) In the Shorts video „How do I Get JVKE to see this?“ by „The_Magic_Piano“, you can see MIDI animations/ notes dropping down from top to bottom ending on the upper edge of the piano. I desperately want to recreate this idea for my own projects. I tried doing so in DaVinciResolve. After having imported the piano performance video and the MIDI animation video and dragging them both into the timeline I tried editing the MIDI animations by changing x and y positions, making it less wide, stretching it lengthwise, and changing pitch, yaw and rotation settings. No matter what I try, the MIDI Animation video always looks either distorted, the sizes of the animations are different from left to right or from top to bottom or the MIDI animations are Not aligned with the upper edge of the piano keys. Does anyone know how to solve this Problem? Maybe with a different method within DVresolve or a different software? The animations in his Shorts-video Are all uniform in size and width and match perfectly with the upper edge of his piano keys. Also the Level of the animations seems like it‘s accurately parallel to the wall. Lastly, the shadows on the wall in his video are nice but i guess that would be less of a challenge if the main problem is solved. I‘m so desperate for help and I don‘t know who to ask. Even ChatGPTs suggestions aren‘t successfull for me 😂😢 Thank you again and have a Great Rest of your day!❤

Great information Frenchie. This explained what I really wanted to know as I questioned which Rec 709 should I use for my current project in Davinci Resolve.

I have been spending much of my time in the last many months learning to be a better colorist. I use dehaze a bit in photography but never in video. I always use some sort of contrast adjustment instead. I love this tip! I will use this now. Thank you.

Why is that even in Resolve 19, under Preferences - System - General the option "Automatically tag Rec.709 Scene clips as Rec.709-A" set by default? Resolve manual says it is "good" for web: Automatically Tag Rec.709 Scene Clips as Rec.709-A: Turn this checkbox on to automatically tag any Rec. 709 QuickTime files for Rec. 709-A playback. This setting is useful if your final QuickTime video does not match what you see in the Resolve viewers (gamma shift), and you wish to export for the web rather than broadcast.

I like your videos really valuable but sometimes I don't know the key combination what you use can you put an overlay to your video where you show what you press in your keyboard?😁

An idea could be to write on a sticker under each key the name of the second or third function. It may not be the cleanest look but could help till you gain the muscle memory perhaps. :) All in all, nice review!

why output colorspace not Rec709.A ?

Why do you use a CST rather than just using davinci wide gamut timeline and inputting the colour space in the clip?

can you please do a video on how you do that masking selection to separate things?

Please... I am very tired of CST. I have BMPCC6k and still do not know hot to make correct CST... In one tutorials making changes in BDP4k to FIlm Gen4 BDF Gen 5 Rec 709 Gamma 2.4 --- Proj color space (timeline) rec 709 In other tuts I see Davinci Wg davinci Intemdiate. Rec 709 Gamma 2.4 And finaly somebody said that it shoul be after all corrections in last node and after this make some grading (look) Now... In this tutorial i see (IDT) and (ODT) This is something new... So it is same that CST, but what difference between this? What is correct? What I need to use ? And Why ? No where I did not see total tut about CST How it use with different cameras and what is correct way For ecamle Why I need use luminance mappin and not Davinci ? Hope my lovely Frenchie answer and finish my suffering or may be some of you and I will finaly 100% be sure about how I need it to do in correct way! Thank you ! Les videos sont super intéressante car tu présente une utilisation des outils qui different des gros "youtubeur" qui ont tendance a ne pas utiliser l'outil HDR et les nodes parallèles pour autre chose que des retouches local et c'est rafraichissant.

I tried both the old and new panels. The heaviness of the old micro panel makes it feel like youre dping something of significance. The build quality makes you feel like youre working on something solid and meaningful.
