Though I have never been to Europe I was conditioned to think of it as a utopia, you know how colonised we are even on the continent unfortunately. I mean, my family hasn’t been super supportive of my move to the deep countryside but there, the river and the mountains and the deep red soil speaks to me. Aww I really wish you were in a position to move to Uganda May. Hopefully things change soon for all queer people worldwide❤. I wish you and Delphine all the best!

The dragons we must face dwell within us, born from the beliefs and wounds that shaped our foundations. And these dragons are rarely vanquished by sharp swords; instead, they yield to open arms, compassion, patience, humility, and grace. There’s no “happily ever after” with end credits, because the commitment to love, whether for ourselves or others, is a choice we must make every day. It requires showing up, learning, and growing, over and over again. Yet when we embrace the work, when we allow ourselves to care deeply, there is no achievement more sweet, comforting, or nourishing. I‘m also in my thirties, African, born and raised in Germany and I‘m living a simple lifestyle which feels perfect to me. For so long I thought I had to start some sort of a business or career, get a degree because that is what I learned from home and that always seemed to be the topic of the day when i hung out with my friends in my twenties. But I’ve come far to realize that I’m a very simple person and the simple pleasures of life excite me. And since I chose to live my life according to myself I’ve been the most peaceful person 🤭
