      It needs to be vented on the top to prevent a hydrolock situation where no water will flow. It needs to extend down into the tank as well to prevent solids from entering the drain field.

    The rops come off . Alao get a rear remote and a hydrolic top link . Be smart . It should have a second pin spot on rops to its flat as well . I see this daily working for kubota. Some people should not own tractors lol

    • @blessingslawn

    It's almost like it wasn't meant to be operated that way. Nah. I'm sure that's not it. Must be a design issue and not an operator issue.

    • @blessingslawn
      @blessingslawn 3 місяці тому

      Why would it fold down if it wasn’t meant to be operated that way?

  • @RedneckoutdoorsTraxlyon69
    @RedneckoutdoorsTraxlyon69 3 місяці тому

    Well you're supposed to keep that piece up at all times when you're running that equipment so anytime that you don't put that piece up when you're operating that equipment you're not operating that equipment to its absolute absolute safety so if it flips over it could possibly roll over because that bar is made to stop it from rolling over you never read the manual and that bar if you're the one who keeps it down and it rolls all the way over that is operator error and it's your own fault if someone dies not Kubota

    • @blessingslawn
      @blessingslawn 3 місяці тому

      Yep, I take full responsibility for my own operating actions. It’s no one’s fault but your own. It’s just not feasible to have it up in our application. We appreciate the comment & concern!

    I’d drill a couple holes in that gray frame, then attach a nice piece of rubber on the bottom of it. Should help dampen the blows moving forward. Best of luck 👍🏼

    • @blessingslawn
      @blessingslawn 3 місяці тому

      The problem is you can’t modify the ROPS, if we ever want to sell it it cannot have holes in it. I think the power of the 3 point would just bend it anyway even with the rubber, but it may be worth a try! I think for us, just removing the top bar is best. Thanks for commenting!

  • @Sunsetoutdoors

    • @blessingslawn
      @blessingslawn 3 місяці тому

      I agree, it could be designed a lot better. Thanks for the comment!

  • @JNash-ro5on
    @JNash-ro5on 3 місяці тому

    The ROPS will not work when it's down. Maybe operator error. Fasten your seat belt. I guess you failed to learn anything the first time you bend your top bar.

    • @blessingslawn
      @blessingslawn 3 місяці тому

      I don’t like having it up, we operate under a lot of low trees and it’s just not feasible to have it up. Not to mention we are on level ground so it’s unnecessary. Operate all day with the seatbelt attached and your innards will hurt you tremendously. Thanks for the comment 👍

    • @JNash-ro5on
      @JNash-ro5on 3 місяці тому

      @@blessingslawn Then block the ROPS so it doesn't fold down far enough to damage the top bar. I have tractors without a ROPS and never wear the seatbelt on those but never fail to wear the seat belt on the ones with ROPS as I witnessed a near miss with a neighbor who rolled his lawn tractor with ROPS and barley missed being under the ROPS. It was a 1520 New Holland tractor that slid down into the ditch in front of his house, throwing him off into the street. I now call him lucky as he just missed by inches being under the ROPS and there wasn't a car coming down the street when it happened. Good luck, be safe. Your family depends on it.

    • @blessingslawn
      @blessingslawn 3 місяці тому

      @@JNash-ro5onif I use the half setting for the rops I smash my head into it every time lol. They definitely have their place, and should be used if you don’t feel comfortable, but in our application it is down 100% or the time anyway. Safety is always number 1! Thanks for being concerned, be safe and tractor on!
