You are so right about geology being overlooked. Yoh guys so much goes into this degree but most industries just don't take us seriously. I remember wanting to apply for the ABSA quants programme and literally every physical sciences degree including geography was literally part of the requirements. It was only geology sana that was not there. It's so hard to convince people that we have great analytical skills and can do any job because everybody thinks we are just chilling and looking at rocks the whole day. Nonetheless, thank you for sharing your journey. I'm motivated to start applying.

People resigning is completely normal, you put in the work they should be grateful to you, and they should focus on finding your replacement and you leaving a handover document.
