Check out Delson's book on Birth or Jati. The Chat bot summarized your questions like this: The Seven Suns and Cosmic Destruction: Buddhist cosmology includes descriptions of cosmic cycles and destruction. For example, there is a mention of "The Seven Suns," a scenario in which the world undergoes progressive stages of destruction, ultimately leading to the complete dissolution of the world. This is not necessarily tied to physical celestial bodies but rather to the symbolic representation of the impermanence and cyclical nature of the universe.

Reminds me of visiting my grandparents. The older they get the less the material world can satisfy. What does satisfy them is when I sit down and give them honest attention and genuine truth of how I feel. They feel more comfortable the more honest I be. I can kinda feel when they need the attention or someone to talk to. It’s like there’s a tension in the air, like an unresolved thing. So I stay to talk with them and when I say “I’m gonna stay a bit”, even after the rest of my family leaves to go do other things. Their eyes light up with happiness. It’s so mundane but so profound.

Forgiveness Meditation (of others) helped me to overcome blocks to being able to consider Lovingkindness Meditation. Made huge difference. The self-forgiveness version helped me deal with the results of doing my first "life review" of this, my current lifetime. I also found I can use this to start forgiving others, and repeating it staring immediately before I lose my temper with them. Wow. So helpful. Even did this once while driving after someone started tailgating me ...I just let them by instead of getting angry. Not 100% effective but often works for me.

10:37 the end suffering: “If you fully experience everything as it is without adding ‘I’ to the it, just that is the end of suffering.” “When for you there will be only the seen in reference to the seen, only the heard in reference to the heard, only the sensed in reference to the sensed, only the cognized in reference to the cognized, then, Bāhiya, there is no you in connection with that. When there is no you in connection with that, there is no you there. When there is no you there, you are neither here nor yonder nor between the two. This, just this, is the end of stress.” -Bahiya Sutta 18:12 using the 4 noble truths to prevent suffering 52:03 real world example using an argument for illustration

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this talk Acharya. I am deeply moved by your love, kindness and boundless commitment. It took some time for me with meditation. Now I see it. TWIM has helped me see the simplicity of the practice. Things are just perfect the way they are. I can be mindful all day. In my waking hours and sometimes even when I am seemingly asleep, I am aware. It will be wonderful if this was practiced in schools, workplaces, everywhere. For anyone who's interested in this practice I can say it helped greatly when I did a TWIM retreat. It sets the foundation to do the work. The why, how and now what aspects of life are no longer burdensome. They are actually a lot of fun because there is no examiner or any test to be given. It's like watching one long grand show play out. Those of you who visit this page, I encourage you to participate and see for yourself. It's fun, cultivating the discipline supported by nurturing the intention to sit with joy and curiosity.

Oh wow what a great talk in a great place!! Thank you, Delson❤As this week there's no more 8-fold path series to listen to, my intuition guided me to pick up the Dukkha book and this "First Discourse" talk. What great timing and it's like an amazing summary of the "8-fold path series" Deslson just gave. I like how the Buddha spilled all the "secret sauce" in his very first discourse! 😄Budha is the best haha 💯 Indeed, 8-fold path and DO are the most important things. The path is given and what are you waiting for? 🥰 Very practical timeless teaching that guides our daily lives 24/7. Sadhu Sadhu Sadhu! 🙏 For those who can't get enough of the Dhamma, Delson's 8-fold path series is a true gem! ua-cam.com/play/PLPA5FfVf4ysAO5tw0Y6eSPOOWe1OPrsLD.html&si=U4fyAcDweLmc1L38 (And don't worry, it's not craving but wholesome desire haha -- "Chanda" 😉)
