some negative comments here but it's literally what is also written in the manuals for stringing with floating clamps.

i use a gamma machine like this now but when i consider getting a new machine by far my only deal-breaker is not having to deal with floating clamps again.

is it absorbing vibrations as well ? can i avoid using a vibrator when using this ?

Great comments. Traditional grip size may be too big and the smaller size trend can give greater control, top spin. Use what feels best is the right thing and don’t just use the traditional size measurement.

You can sand to a high degree of precision. You just have to scratch the surface with a needle-tool to the same dept on all sides/bevels (marking on the needle) which you meassure out..., then you sand that scratch away on all sides. You make that tool with a piece of wood where you put in a pointy screw that goes through and which you can adjust to the right dept that correspond with what you need to remove of material.

If the handle is made of PU rigid foam. Then you can machine mill the handle to a lower grip size. That is not hard to do, if you know your way around a work shop.

Thanks for posting. IMO as a newbie stringer....this is unnecessarily complicated!!! Why can't they just color the skip grommets a different color? Or put a very easy marking for the skips & tie off holes? (And I don't just mean a line like some rackets have...they could put T for tie off, and S for skip hole)

Do you know how many grams there are typically in a 4 inch strip of 1/4 tape? And do you know how much the swing weight would increase by (roughly) if you were to put two 4 inch strips on either side of 12 o'clock?

I was 4.5 - 5.0 player in my young age leave the tennis many times by tenis elbow problems. My last time I play was 6 years ago , i want come back but scared me have elbow problems again. Thinking use gut stings in hybrid mode( Wilson champion choice) gut in mains. My last racket ls I have is volkl vsense 9 little to none use after purchase. Tension show is 55 +/-5. What tension you recommend in main and cross. Or if you recommend change rackets . I’m base liner player with very high spin and one back hand on my high 40s. Thanks in advance

If over grips are about .5 mm, what's the average base grip thickness? I've often wondered, why can't I just use an overgrip to replace my base grip? Or would that be too harsh on my hands?

But you’re right the hydrosorb seems to run a bit thick I measure my 4 1/4 with hydrosorb and overgrip and it was 4.5

I never liked dampeners, but each to their own, I just prefer the natural sound of the strings, it gives me feed back.

Intelligent info here appreciate that, i have not found a hybrid combination that I loved yet, but have not tried everything. Many years ago Gosen offered a Kevlar blended string I really liked but I could not find that exact string later. Since then been using either Babolat gut 15L or 16 guage Luxilon Big Banger.

i came from fullbed poly and experienced tennis elbow. I play with topspin. Should i Go Poly main or cross?. Now im looking for spin+comfort

so for the running serve I guess I have a follow up question, which is : what counts as walking / running? The example in the video is very clear but my serve is basically as follow: my toss is sometimes too much to my right and i sometimes i have from my static position, to move one single foot (my left one as a righty) do the right aand push up in the air from that foot. It's basically a single, roughly 20cm wide step. Does one step consitute running / walking? I have a video examples of it

If you go low, how many hours would they last? I understand that poly go bad quickly. Can you still play fine after they lose tension? Thanks!

Personally found few things helpful To give you the background I’m using head speed MP, usually play about 7-8 hours per week. 1. I change tourna tac or mega tac every week cz of sweaty palms. 2. Changed my grip from western to semi western which took about 1.5 months to adjust. 3. My coach advised me to use a hand gripper and boy it worked wonders for me.

I’ve been told to string poly looser so if I’m doing a blend and I’ve got poly/synthetic of some kind then I’ll string poly about 5 lbs less (let’s say I’m trying to reach 60lbs) and then I’ll string the synthetic true at 60 lbs???? Or maybe string crosses a pound or so looser

my evoke 102 used to be like 280 grams, now i buffed it up to 347 grams I think 7 - 8 headlight and it helped my game a lot :D
