Fun guides and discussions about Dragon Age and other RPGs! New videos out every Sunday-ish.
Welcome to the B-Tier Mutineer channel. I'm Nate, and I’m here to share with you videos and guides about some of my favorite games in a relaxed, 'B-Tier' style. I'm don't do min-maxing, and I'm certainly not a "hardcore" gamer; I'm here to have fun, discover interesting stories and strategies, and enjoy games without grinding or struggling.
I love talking about RPGs in general, and what makes them tick - narrative design, combat, exploration, UI, etc. I'm incredibly curious to explore how games do what they do, what some of the best and worst features are, and how future games could improve. Who knows, one day I may even create my own RPG based on the ideas I come up with!
I don't accept sponsorships, and I always tell my 100% honest opinion, but if you want me to look at your demo/game, or want to discuss a creative project, you can contact me at the email address mentioned below.

Fight Fearlessly With This Berserker-Reaver Warrior (Dragon Age: Origins) - B-Tier Guides
Thought I was done making builds for Dragon Age: Origins, but nope! Just got the idea for a berserker-reaver hybrid warrior while I was working on the full warrior class guide and I loved it so much that I HAD to immediately make a build guide for it. Hope you enjoy!

The Most Compelling Disco-Like RPG I've Tried So Far - Rue Valley
Переглядів 65619 годин тому
Rue Valley is a fascinating upcoming narrative RPG with a cool story concept (time loop mental/personality issues). I enjoyed playing the pre-alpha demo as part of the Southern Europe Game Festival on Steam (oops, in the video I said “early alpha” instead of pre-alpha), and I can’t wait to see more of the game as development continues. Definitely looking forward to another demo later on, perhap...
Veilguard's Trans Representation Critiqued by a Trans Guy
Переглядів 106 тис.14 днів тому
I’ve been thinking about the trans representation in Veilguard since the top surgery scars were mentioned, but I wanted to wait and see how trans identities were represented before I made a video. I almost deleted this entire script because I felt like maybe it was useless for me to try to have a conversation about it, but as a trans man I feel like I have to say *something*, even if it may mea...
Why Veilguard Was Always Kind of Destined To Fail

This is a more freeform discussion video because I felt I had to get my thoughts out about why Veilguard was in many ways destined to fail from much earlier than people may think. My long analysis video of Veilguard *will* come eventually, but for now have something that doesn’t go quite as deep into every single thing wrong with the game, and is more interested in the direction of its story du...
A Comprehensive Guide to the Mage Class in Dragon Age: Origins - B-Tier Guides

An extremely long video that took an extremely long time to research and write, but hopefully this should help you create your own build for a mage character in Dragon Age: Origins, and better understand the mage class as a whole. I was originally planning on also discussing gear in minute detail, but I decided against it since really what you need to know in order to choose good items to equip...

FAQ: Why do you have an opinion if you haven't played the game yet? Very simple answer. I have functioning eyes, ears, and a brain. I can think through information that I see, no matter whether I myself am directly experiencing a game or I'm just watching footage of it. I have critical thinking skills, and I am genuinely afraid for all the people who say that you have to try something for yours...

Hi all! I’ve hit an important and honestly mind-boggling milestone for this channel - I’ve passed a thousand subscribers :O As part of celebrating this milestone, I asked my subscribers what videos they’d like to see from me, and this video ranking all the companions in Dragon Age: Origins is one of their suggestions. I’ll be making all the videos they asked for, because I found all of them gre...

This is my review of Risen, the first game in the Risen trilogy by PiranhaBytes, after 100% NOT finishing the game. Spoiler alert: I enjoyed it. I highly recommend getting the game on GOG since generally speaking it’s easier to get older games to run with the GOG versions. My Least Favorite Quests in Dragon Age: Origins (and how I'd change them)
Переглядів 2,5 тис.2 місяці тому
Since Dragon Age: Origins is my all-time favorite game, some people may assume that I’m blind to its faults, or that somehow I love everything about it. I don’t; in fact, there are many, many things I would like to change about the game, evidenced by the fact that I heavily mod my game, and even started making some mods of my own to address some of the most egregious things I have the know-how ...
The Best Dragon Age: Origins Mods that Enhance its Visuals
Переглядів 9 тис.2 місяці тому
Dragon Age: Origins is an old game with dated visuals, but that doesn't mean it has to remain that way. The DAO modding community has made so many mods that enhance the graphics of the game, either through retextures or upscaling of existing assets, replacing them with new models or ones from DA2 or Inquisition, etc. There are so many more retexture/overhaul mods out there than the ones I cover...
Dragon Age: Origins 4GB/LAA Patch Guide to Fix Crashing
Переглядів 8 тис.2 місяці тому
Dragon Age: Origins is an old game. It came out in 2009, and it has a memory leak that never got fixed to my knowledge which causes a lot of crashes. However, just because it has these issues doesn’t mean you can’t solve them. The best thing you can do to minimize crashes on newer computers is to install the LAA (Large Address Aware) patch, also known as the 4GB patch, which allows the game to ...

Why Avowed is My Most Anticipated RPG

People sometimes refer to Avowed as Obsidian’s “Skyrim”, but I think it’s much more similar to another Elder Scrolls game… and that makes me very excited. I really love the idea behind Obsidian RPGs, even if sometimes they’re not 100% my cup of tea, because at the core of it all, they understand what an RPG is all about - meaningful choices, multiple paths, everything in service of story and wo...

37:16 This is how you are made to feel in America. There's no exaggerating that people have lost jobs because a trans person got disagreed with and claimed transphobia. This game was written like HR were in the room.
I feel like queers find the drama of being hard to grasp somehow amusing. Most humans want to and/or do fall in love with the drama of their life-story and being enigmatic or mysterious (hard to understand) sums to the cause. I dont really know, but Ive recognized patterns because Ive several LGBT friends. Any feedback
I think the line with "smudge their makeup" towards Neve, was more about kissing and maybe also Taash being inexperienced about it? I didn't pick it up as sexual. Also, Taash is heavily influenced by both the patriarchic Qun, as well as a bunch of pirates. Both not necessarily known for good manners.
Thanks, Sweet Baby Inc for ruining this
OG fan, I've 100% the game, very disappointed but I'd been waiting a decade for the d**n thing so I was playing it to the end come hell or high water. I would recommend completing it though, the last 5 hours don't completetly redeem the game but they were pretty epic. Oh and there's a sort of late game but not end game sequence which is amazing.
Death syphon+Death magic = work fine! Tested! Walking bomb and Virulent Walking Dead Bomb is stacks! Its amazing! U draing life and mana with corpdes. How it's work? Use first aura, and pick second! Maybe bug, but 90 mana cost ))
You know I can only speak to the gay perspective, seeing for so long the only gay characters were the female leads overly effeminate gay best friend, who gave her bad advice and was also a hairstylist (ok I used to be a hair stylist.. SILENCE!) and it was so annoying seeing only that depiction in media. There's a better way to show representation, and bioware chose the worst option. It's quite frankly irresponsible to have written this character this way in an environment that in the U.S. at least, is becoming increasingly hostile to trans people. Everyone in this community can tell you how awful a feeling it is when you see people just feed those stereotypes.
"My all time favourite game is Dragon Age: Origins" Impressive, very based....
I have heard Nothing about veilguard? What the heck? To be clear, what the heck youtube, not what the heck you, sorry. This was a really good video. I had to stop and think a little bit through it. I was very skeptical when you said how cringy the dialogue was.... And then I heard it 😂 some of it I don't think it's that bad - I suspect there's some people who are adults and still figuring out who they are >.> Or maybe funally just starting to bother figuring it out. But some of that dialogue was PAINFUL. Just... You weren't exaggerating how bad the coming out scene was. Great points and video overall.
the nonbinary dialogue is also equally cringe and I'm nonbinary XD i was like oh god why
personally i had a good time with the game and i get when other people dont. maybe, given that im nonbinary, im just happy to feel more included and my opinion on the representation in the game might still change in the future, but it just is important to me that its there. that i even just have the OPTION to be canonly nonbinary in the game, even if my specific set of pronouns (it/its) are not going to be an option, it means something to me. i know not every other enby will feel the same way. we arent a monolith. but its important to me. but im not blind to the important parts of this video's critiques. i do hope these games will improve in getting better with its representation in the future. EDIT: i personally saw the reason taash explicitly emphasizes using the word "nonbinary" as opposed to the qun word, as being that taash rejected the way shathann wanted them to act more "qunari" whereas taash sees themself as more rivaini. completely unrelated but i feel robbed bc how taash's voice is so much better in english. i like the german one as well but bc im gay af i love their english voice way more.
It strikes me that nearly everyone seems to hate how Veilguard handled things.
is it just me or the writing feels like AI? Hmmmmm? 🤔
I came across this video randomly with zero context on the series and even I was taken aback by the use of such a modern word like non-binary, demigender, gender fluid. It’s like suddenly hearing someone in game of thrones say “polysaccharides”
My biggest problem with this game is that it does sincere damage to the discourse with people who are still in the "learning how to socialize with trans people" stage that many who are still wrapping their minds around the topic. It's difficult even as an ally sometimes to be fully supportive, but after watching the serious fumbling of the writing in this game it's in my opinion set back the discourse by at least a few years.
The problem with Veilguard's dialog is that they feel like they need to spell everything out. Instead of a few lines that drive the point across they think you need an essay to properly convey things to the audience, which makes stuff cringe. Add to that they made every LGBT thing in your face when that is not what LGBT experiences are like, and they basically made being LGBT the stereotype that some idiots have in their mind. For example it is a little immersion breaking is when everyone knows I am nonbinary, even people who don't know me. Like is magic telling everyone my gender telepathically? xD Instead of the mirror thing, when a villain or new companion addresses you, they could misgender you or gender you correctly (maybe depending on what you look like) and your character could react in different ways to that. It would flesh out your character and the others based on their reaction in a more organic way. On Taash, as a nonbinary AFAB with a similar personality, I felt pretty represented by them (sometimes). I used to think that no woman likes being a woman so I didn't find an issue with Taash saying that. I didn't think it was rude, just bluntly communicating their experience and what they thinks other people think. I do think it is strange that Neve didn't say that she actually likes being a woman, it kind of made it seem like it was true that even cis women don't like being women. Taash's character is very similar to me tbh, which makes it extra sad when they are reduced to The Annoying NonBinary character, like they could be so much more. When Taash says noone likes being a woman, Neve could have been like "I do" and Rook could ask why they think that. Based on my experience I would expect Taash to say "the women I have seen are burdened by the expectations placed upon them. Some like the dresses but hate to be questioned when they don't wear them, others don't like dresses and hate when they are questioned about being a woman. And the dress is just one example. All around it seems like being a woman sucks" And then Rook could talk about their experience. In the scene with Shathann, I wish we could have done something to make them talk, like in a scene with Dorian and his dad. When Shataan mentions the aqun-athlok she means maybe you are a man instead of a woman because that is what Qunari recognize, which is why Taash gets angry because instead of trying to understand them, she wants to frame their experience inside the Qun, which they already don't like a lot. I agree Shathann was trying, but Taash wanted her to see them for them a Rivani Nonbinary Qunari, not through the Qun. It would have been nice for Rook to be like "Taash, it seems like your mom is trying to understand, give her a chance. And Shathann, I know you were trained to be a Qun scholar but Taash needs a mother right now, listen to how they see themself" It would have been more gut wrenching if we could see them FINALLY understanding each other only to later have Shathann die.
Thanks for the explanations and all the work with going through the scenes. Im NB and was thinking about getting veilguard, but after seeing the Bharv scene, i was kinda shocked. Im neutral about gender inclusion and inclusion in general in media, but i think if a company wants to be inclusive and put characters with different genders in their game, they should portrai them right. Because, like you said it ends in making these people look bad. And hearing how Taash reacted in these scenes, im even more glad that i didnt got the game. I have the feeling your partner could be right, with the whole thing about different people writing different dialog, but it even more so, feels like there are some people that have no problem with inclusin and some that might have, beneath the writing stuff for this game, at least thats what it feels like seeing these scenes, to me. Veilguard really gives me a bit of this - company only puts things like gender inclusion in their game, so that people of said genders buy it, because they feel included. But in the end said company only want to make money and doesnt actully care about the people they want to seel their game to. And this is sad imo. Also sad to me is that you cant be rude. I really liked playing DA:O and ME a bit like "im no hero, im just saving the world and im not always doing the right stuff". If it would have more dialog choices and not this thing that feels like everything needs to be happy. Its even so much, that Taashs Mother seems like she isnt alowed to be rude. PS: Sorry for my english, its not my first language and can be a bit hard to read sometimes.
Taash is written so comically bad that I genuinely considered the writers were transphobes writing a character off negative stereotypes
someone asked why have trans characters when the player can play whatever gender anyway
Your points are exceptionally well documented, and you constantly mention that you are speaking ONLY from your own perspective and not for other people's experiences. This was an excellent video! Thank you very much for making it.
Dude, I appreciate you honing in and being so brave and honest. Great review and I appreciate you atleast explaining your stance and what your opinion of this game without calling anyone a bigot. I still want to play this game but not looking to put that money down if the game is not made for me and apparently not made for you. Also this game did not look like Dragon age 2 which is the last Dragon age I played.
ok, in parts as Jack the Ripper would say 1) I'm conservative, I have lesbian friends, I have a trans friend and... I don't care, what they do in their privacy is their business, and my friend is masculine enough for me not to think of him as a woman, so I don't have problems with you, I have problems with those who use him as a shield to deflect all criticism or as their only identity. 2) Taash's character is wasted; Let me explain, she's a dragon slayer, an expert, she breathes fire, she's close to thirty... and... they only focus on the fact that she's non-binary, it seems like character assassination to me 3) the umbrella that has been formed with that of: if you don't like the game you're... 50 shades of phobo, come on man, apart from taash, the game is very criticizable at other levels 4) I would have paid to have a father like taash's mother, I also tell you 5) the biggest personal problems I have not had with people from the collective but with the champions of the collective, I don't know if I explain myself well
From a purely gameplay perspective, I think that a lot of these issues come from the fact that you can't interact with companions outside of quests. This means that nobody can disagree with anybody in the game. because if they did you'd easily get trapped into companions hating you without any way to gain their respect back. Which is there because of a flaw of game design: You can't lose companions because you need their special powers and you can't "regain" trust that you'd lose. You can't have the player lose points because there's no way to come back from losing these in the game like in the other ones. To me, this one change is at the heart of a lot of narrative problems. It makes every character feel blend and like your choices don't actually matter because you don't have any input into whether someone gets mad or someone likes you. They'll hate you or each other based on what the story asks of them, not because of what you -the player- chose or did. This also leads to companions feeling SUPER one note. They all only have their one quest to communicate what the character is about, everything else is the banter. Another thing I hate about the Taash dialogue is that it really feels like we (I played as a cis-female) basically tell Taash who they are the whole game instead of having them discover it. It could've been so cute to have her go "I heard of a meeting in minrathous but I'm too shy to go alone, could you come with me?", it's not perfect but it would at least put the initiative in their hands. We're here as a support on their journey, not the messia announcing to them "You're non-binary, Taash". Also the line of "I'd smudge your makeup" did not phase me as I interpreted it as when they'd kiss, I never thought about it being anything else oops :') Now I can't unsee it.... >_>
I’ll come clean and say I was anti trans. That is until they hire a person who was trans. Clearly a man to woman and I was expecting me to accidentally get the he/she pronouns wrong cause you know. But she turned out to be cool and I can relate to her. She never brought it up and is a chill person. If only games would do a good job to make me say hey they are alright after all.
"fail" and it has 10k 24 hour peak. Lmao griiiiiiiffffttt
Veilguard didn't fail tho
can you link the fixes mod you're referring to? It's difficult to determine the spelling of whoever's name that is on hearing it alone
After playing more of this game, I ironically unlocked an outfit for Taash that's basically a long, revealing skirt 🫤
Was relistening a little bit. One thing I absolutely hate about transitioning is... people being like "You are so brave", especially in a country like Denmark, where essentially NO ONE! cares what you are. The closest I got to violence because of being transgender was a drugged up super drunk person, and at that point, was it because I was transgender, or just because they were drugged up and super drunk? Besides, their friend stopped them. Anyway, I really hate that expression. "Being brave"? I am brave because I'm doing the only path I can see in front of me? Yeah, not how it really works, is it? It's frankly insulting that people think that it is.
This is a very measured and good take on the whole thing. Well done. I'm pretty sure the way they implemented inclusivity in this game made 10 times more harm than good.
I'm not trans I'm autistic asexual man but When I looked dictionary non-binary meant someone like me but in media all I saw wanna sex type people identified as non-binary I'm not masculine or feminene but I see myself as man. You said in start people gonna be angry both side but I want to say no, I think you're right. Just wanted to say you're right. Edit: I hundred percent agree they did trans people dirty and cause more harm than good actually they didn't cause any good I believe. Also I wanted to say I agree one time someone said to me sorry woman and I said nothing he apologized and moved on If I would say hey dude I'm man you're so mean my friends would never let this go probably because we were teen than. I'm not trans like I said and I born male I see myself male just I'm not typical male to me. I liked the video it was nice you are correct and always nice to see another autistic person to be honest I love autistic brain it's too logical. Great video!
I genuinely hate the bad stigma the "As you know" method gets people go on and on about every time it was used poorly while never saying what really is the problem. It can be used and should be used in certain area of dialogue, mentioning known information or prior events to segue into a topic to the over all plot or character backstory, or to prove a character's point in an argument by putting emphasis on the topic. The problem isn't that the method of writing is bad, the writer itself is. Also I don't know what this fella is talking about there were so many moments were the character talk using the "as you know" in Origins, but that was find because it was to put emphasis on the current games plot. Bit of Rose tinted glasses there. Believe me I do not like Vailguard, and i still think Origins is one of the best in the DA series, but it was by no means a perfect or even polish game. I write stories but if the gameplay is bad and story is good, or vice versa, then it is not a game really all that special. Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3 was what I wanted from good gameplay and top tier story. (Maybe a little less on 3, the ending was questionable to say the least but still).
Im trans I never transitioned I dont want to go through surgeries for appearance I live my life as a right winged chill person who lives a normal life I dont care if im repped or misgendered or whatever. Why? Because im comfortable with myself snd who I am today. Yet people who arent and dont want help, will continue to make all of us look bad for a few pity points. Im so sick of it.
Late transitioning woman here. I have to have to compare a lot to BG3 because... The fact there is lack of acknowledgement of trans struggles just feels... Right? Like, you can make a GNC character and even imagine them to be trans while it not being their whole personality either, and some characters seem trans coded or at least have some allegorical points. A lot of what drives characters to change there are the in-party conflicts and therapy sessions (seriously, feels like i am being a mom in the group) This is what as an observer for the game see in these cutscenes lacking. There are no in-party conflicts you have any meaningful input on to grow the characters. It is especially infuriating as Taash acts like a teen to their mom, writes like a child or stereotypical barbarian, all the while the game makes you affirm that they are an adult. I wish my mom was this level of trying to understand when i first came out to her, like "oh, this thing exists in our culture". I understand she comes off as apathetic while have clear reasons to do so, but still has a maternal instinct. This was the perfect opportunity for Rook to moderate between Taash and their mother, seeing that Rook already got an idea of where the actual wedge is and could help with it. Therapy and someone to tell me i was wrong in acting a certain way is what i needed to get my own mind out of my own head. I too had the emotional processing of a 12 year old at the age of fucking 27. Dysphoria and trauma can do that. I further don't understand why the PC when they are trans has to comment on the mirror or work. If anything the only work i had to put on is getting rid of internalized transphobia and social anxiety. Superficial shit like how i look in the mirror or how i dress was the least important thing to me. Medicals are their own can of worms, sure, but if that was the biggest struggle the authors had come up with, then i am sorry they got a trans person who got it too stupidly fucking easy, and i wish it was this level of trivial for all trans or even cis nonconforming individuals. In fact, I don't even subscribe to the whole "born in the wrong body". To me the body is but a vessel, i felt uncomfortable before HRT, sure, but that sort of sentence indicates to me i have some sort of traumatic regret nowadays. If i was an early transitioner, sure, i can see kid me say it due to how they understand the situations. On that note, at times it really does feel like the author of these characters treats the player as a child, when in rwality this game is meant to be played by teens or adults who can grasp the vocabulary or figure out the in-universe languages with a bit of context.
I liked that at the start and end of the video was camp from DAO like DAV is a archidemon nightmare xD Also I don't give a shit if someone felling diffrent as long as they do not shove it it to others people faces every five minutes and expect being treated s.p.e.c.i.a.l to me you sounded as a great person to know and hang around btw I'm just simple human male not felling diffrent :P Taash is realy terrible character and NOT becuase of non binary stuff there is no character development. Shathan was realy good writen and I realy wanted slap Isabela and Taash when Bella starts doing push ups such sweet cute little elf it felt like bullying :(
There is also the "practicability" aspect of things like gender reassignment surgery in the world of Thedas. Because frankly, surviving them would be a miracle, to the point where finding a mage to reshape your body is probably the more practical solution.
Have since completed the game but everything you went through in the vid feels how I feel tbh. I regret how badly the lore and gameplay have shifted, I feel the fade in inq was one of the coolest settings we'd seen done, and was excited to see what they could do with tevinter but through the game the combat, story and everything just kept beating me down til I was just grinding content to 'finish' the game.
I mean the way Taash wrote notes may have been a little weird just considering the ‘girl smell good’ thing but to defend caveman notes…when they’re NOTES they aren’t always gonna be linguistically proper. It’s actually very healthy to be able to quickly jot down your thoughts. I’m going to assume you meant just the weird comments and NOT just the caveman speak, because ‘you have serious issues’ may be a bit far 😂 I sure hope I don’t have ‘serious issues’ purely because I’m lazy in my own personal notes no one was intended to read anyway. Like you said, no one was supposed to be shown this anyway, right? But tangent that really doesn’t actually matter aside, I agree totally with all the points you made in the video. Excellent stuff. So sad to see BioWare crash so hard
I haven't finished the game, nor read many of the notes on Taash, but so far I am just so incredibly disappointed with how they wrote them. Taash just makes me feel so uncomfortable? and not sure if this is the right word to use here, but Taash almost feels...infantilised? Taash is apparently supposed to be in their twenties, yet they flip out over almost everything. I read another comment here about her getting angry over a flipping biscuit, and there's also another scene where they start an argument with Emmrich all because he studies necromancy. it just feels so uncomfortable and just the wrong way to go about writing a non binary character. The coming out scene is just so jarring. Such a let down when they've had characters like Krem before.
Hey B-Tier I love all your builds. One of the things I really like about watching them is getting to read all of the numerical values attached to the talents. How do you get those to appear in your game. Is it a mod?
@@rose.i yes, it's a mod! If you're playing the vanilla game it's the "detailed tooltips" mod, but I myself am using Dain's Fixes (which I highly recommend) and so I'm also using the mod made by him for accurate tooltips with his fixes included called "More Detailed Tooltips".
@@btiermutineer Thx brother!
Thank the gods and every other higher power, real and/or imagined! Another trans man like me on UA-cam that acts like an actual person and thinks this stuff is BS as well. They make us look like crazy people in a lot of media and definitely in Valegaurd
Just started a two handed Dwarf 2 days ago because I never completed the game as a dwarf or warrior.
Taash is just a completely unlikable character. Their personality is absolutely caustic towards everyone. As for the surgery scars, I was absolutely puzzled for the obvious reasons, but concluded that though it wasn't for me or most other people, most trans included, perhaps someone out there felt seen and validated with the inclusion so I won't complain. It's a toggle option that people can ignore entirely if it doesn't resonate with them. It's weird that it exists in a fantasy universe, but whatever... far less of a sin than the other painful modern references and language
reaver builds are definitely my favourite one out of every specializations in the entire series, and i think DAO and inquisition did them the best with really fluid combat integration with the reaver skills. i just wish i could've unlocked reaver instead of berserker and templar in my first playthrough of DAO, but i wasn't able to get respec mods working unfortunately. great video as always :D
Speaking of the Dwarf Noble Origin. I wish they’d REALLY hammer home just how much you lost through meta gameplay. It’s your grandfather (Also King)’s armor. So make it Veridium, give an “Aeducan Signet Ring” & Aeducan Necklace both with mild +2 X enchantment. So you steamroll even on Hard/Nightmare so when you have nothing but a dagger & a buckler shield you FEEL how “naked” you are without your families name/power behind you.
Oh yeah, that would be so much cooler. Have the dwarf noble be super powerful during the Provings and expedition, and then take it ALL away.
@btiermutineer Yup. I would OP them so that couldn’t find anything better until LVL 8+. Tier 4 Armor, Weapon & Shield. All 4 accessories slots filled with small +2-4 enchanted gear. Gorim even says “I scrounged up a fancy looking longsword. & It could be called “Fancy Longsword” & it could also have +2 against Darkspawn & +2 attack. It would also give the narrative theme of: “Was it YOU that was impressive or your gear/family/status that caught Duncan’s attention, etc etc.
You know what is crazy? I just started a new playthrough for DA:O yesterday & just for fun I’m doing a Axe+Shield Dwarf Commoner. Going full Legion of the Dead vibe. This is PERFECT timing.
Ooh, nice! I love axes, they're my favorite weapon type in DAO even though everyone tends to favor swords. My top 3 axes are the Veshialle, Aodh, and Axameter!
@ 100% aesthetically the Dwarven Waraxe is my favorite. Swords are the traditional S+B but they look kinda odd on the dwarves plus I like the Tolkien “The Axes of the Dwarves are upon you.” And Axes make more sense for Dwarves. Or Maces/Mauls. Great swords & Longswords just seem kinda outta place for them culturally.
The hyper wealthy put these activists that make division through forced inclusion on purpose to shift the focus from their criminal agenda
My favorite content creator strikes again 🫡

Dorian from Dragon Age: Inquisition is a MUCH better representation of the LGBTQ community. His character is much more relatable even for someone who isn't gay.
