Bluffing your way out of Fort Drakon is so unbelievably fun. Some S tier quest writing for sure

What I liked about the Dwarves was that while Harromount was the better person, Bhelen was the better leader. Fact is, the Dwarves decline under Harrowmount but grow under Bhelen, thus the right choice is not so cut and dry.

Haven't done a proper thorough playthrough of DAO in years, this was so nostalgic!

I gotta pick my playthrough back up. I got through the Broken Circle quest and moved on to Orzammar(I have a strange order but it makes sense to me) and put it down

@@Dragonslayor226 broken circle first makes sense, you can do dagna and save the arlessa of redcliffe

@@qhu3878yeah my full order of the main quests is what makes since to me but nobody else I’ve seen ever does. Kinloch Hold, Orzammar, Dalish, Redcliffe. From a RP standpoint I can see not doing it like that because Redcliffe could be destroyed but its the method I came up with years ago and so I still do it

@@Dragonslayor226 from an rp standpoint it makes sense for everyone but dwarf nobles to go to redcliffe first in my eyes but eh whatever

I recently played DAO for the first time and immediately did a second run! Excuse the wall of text, I'm having a blast in DA games and am going to geek out a little bit - I think my top 5 quests (non DLC) are:
Paragon of Her Kind, Unbound, Mage's Collective, The Unlikely Scholar, and Jowan's Intention.
    1. Paragon of Her Kind - you already explained why (& I agree,) but I also love how well this whole questline foreshadows the Landsmeet. Orzammar is immersive and I love the lore and quest pacing there :)
    2. Unbound - Finding those little creepy clues all through the game that culminated in a back alley fight against Gaxkang was just really cool. I had theorized about wtf was going on as I found them. I got lucky and Gaxkang dropped the Fade Wall shield for my arcane warrior warden too!
    3. The Mage's Collective - these are exactly the type of morally ambiguous things my wardens like to do, and have some really interesting lore and implications. The Scrolls of Banastor codex is one of the most interesting in DAO I think, so if I had to pick one from the Mages Collective, it would be that.
    4. The Unlikely Scholar - Dagna is ambitious and willing to sacrifice so much to meet her goals. I help her leave to study at the circle, but I can understand why a parent wouldn't want their child leaving and making such a monumental decision either. I think DAO has a recurring theme of accepting or fighting against fate, and this is another quest that lets you decide how your warden feels about that sort of thing (even while trying to resolve their own fate too). Plus she uses her education later on which was so fun to discover.
    5. Jowan's Intention - again with the fate theme... Jowan is controversial; I like that you have so many wildly different options to take with him. My first warden had him run away in Redcliffe bc she had more important things to deal with but sympathized with him. Imagine my surprise when he showed back up later AND was attempting redemption. It made my choices feel impactful and I was honestly happy to see him attempting to make good on his word.

I'm currently replaying DAO as a human noble woman, romancing Alistair. I'm looking forward to the landsmeet, which is one of my favourite quests in the game. This time I'll try to become the queen on Alistair's side.

I wish I could have tried Crime Wave. But I've never spent enough time developing all thieving skills.
Oh Maker, I usually have two companions convince Tana to leave her post during the breakout. I forgot that you'll find these guards killed when you're in the final battle in Fort Drakon.

Paragon of Her Kind was *the* GOAT. Playing a dwarf noble who was basically left for dead by Bhelen, naturally supporting Harrowmont just because Bhelen did you dirty, then figuring out that Harrowmont caused decline to Orzammar was something else.

I’ve been playing Origins since it came out when I was 4(my brother got it and I would always watch him play until he finally made me an account and I started playing myself too) but I’ve never thought of my favorite quests much. I definitely like the Origins and companions quests but feel like those would be cheating. That being said Nature of the Beast, A Paragon of her Kind, The Battle of Denerim, Lelianas personal quest(I know I said I wouldn’t but its just one of my favorites) and Return to Ostagar are probably my top 5.

Until now i never knew you can escape fort drakon without killing the soldiers a completely new scenario i thought killing is the only way to finish the either selecting companion or escaping, i always choose companion choice , especially broma brothers all the time. Now i trying again this time not killing soldiers thanks for that !!.
