I have a lwrc m6ic and it’s a beast but I am picking up a gessile suoerduty this week.

If you’re running the comp S&W recommends a minimum of 124 grain ammunition. The 115 grain is to light to reliably cycle the slide with the comp. I took mine off and no issues shooting 115 grain without the comp. My front night sight did die on me but S&W is sending me another one under their warranty.

It’s a combo of a few things. 1. Overpriced for what it is. 2. Warranty is voided if you use a suppressor. 3. Factory gas setting is lackluster when you use a suppressor. Cant change the stock without amplifying the canting issue. 4. The canting issue… 5. Beats up optics. 6. Cant use AR grips without modification. Dont get me wrong, i have one and i do enjoy it but those are the issues i hear often. Not a deal breaker as i knew before i purchased.

The bulgarian 4 piece flash hider/booster is a good upgrade if you decide to go that route

You can always replace the dust cover with a traditional AK74su one. Gives you more options.

When shooting out in the open and not under something I have found the 3x does is more than enough for 18" targets out to 500Y. I use EXPS2-2 With Vortex MICRO 3x in 2Gun all of the time .I have absolutely 0 issues hitting reduced C Zone Steel targets out to 500Y. 6" plate at 200Y is doable but you'll need to be shooting where the optic can gather light . That's why I dislike shooting under pavilions . Unless if it's raining lol. When shooting out in the open shit dies not seem like it really far away for some reason . I used to think I needed 6x or 10x to shoot out to 200Y . 5x at most is all you need for realistic sized targets out to 600Y..

What bipod are you using?

No issues with mine. Put a lighter spring and everything will be ok.

The .308 version is one of the most accurate rifles I have ever shot in my life.

Purchased the 17H & Geissele trigger at the same time so no history with the original trigger. I put a FFP 6x24 on it for giggles and shot groups at 100 yds with gold medal match & it rivaled bolt actions w/24" barrels. The 17H is a phenomenal rifle, it's perfect with a dot/magnifier, currently have a 3x9 on it, it's extremely versatile that sometimes makes it hard to commit to an optic. I have no experience running anything else on it. The boot stock is purpose built for kicking azz. I've had the firearm for several years never a failure runs super clean. I don't regret the $$$ a single bit. The only downside to the firearm for me is the ammo weight but it is what it is when comparing to 556, 762x39 or 300blk. Providing the use is 200 - 500 yds I'll take the weight of the 308 all day. Those who are on the fence about purchasing the 17H get off & go get one!

Failure to feed or stovepipe are perfectly normal if the recoil spring is too strong. S&W messed up big on that one. It’s well known to go down 3 pounds or so with spring weight. If they say use 124 grain that is true but keeps you very close to failures, imagine gun dirty and dry, still get failures. That said, don’t use comps for self defense with 9mm for that reason

Bought to get a new recoils spring to see if that’ll make a difference with the compensator. Most of the 124 grain and up are sold out pretty quickly here and you either have to shoot +p rounds, replace the recoil spring or remove the compensator. Runs flawlessly without the comp though. I got some 124grain to see if it’ll help at all. Also have some +p rounds. Hoping it works cause I really like the look of it.

Super scar trigger made a world of difference with mine.
