7 Days Until the Wedding! And my fiancé weighs in on where all the men are...
In this episode of my Happily Ever After series, I’m joined by my wonderful fiancé as we chat about our journey together and what it’s like to prepare for our wedding, which is just a few days away! We talk about how we met, the ups and downs of dating later in life, and the importance of building a relationship on mutual respect, love, and understanding.⁣

𝐓𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝:⁣
- How we met in our condo complex and became friends before starting a romantic relationship.⁣
- The value of a "slow burn" approach to relationships, especially when dating in your 40s and 50s.⁣
- Reflections on our different backgrounds: my fiancé having been married before and me getting married for the first time.⁣
- The challenges and joys of long-distance relationships and our excitement about finally living together.⁣
- A candid discussion about the realities of wedding planning, including my Bridezilla moment!⁣

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬:⁣
- Relationships built on friendship and mutual respect have a strong foundation.⁣
- It's important to be patient and intentional when dating later in life.⁣
- Opposites can indeed attract and balance each other out, creating a harmonious partnership.⁣
- Even with all the love and preparation, wedding planning can still have its stressful moments, and that’s okay!⁣

Wouldn't it have been better if you found the person for you when you were in your 20s so you could have had another 30 years with him instead of waiting so late in life because now you might only be able to have 20 years with him? Why didn't you start looking when you were young instead of waiting until you are old, near death.

    • @JewelQuinlan
      @JewelQuinlan Місяць тому

Near death? 😂you must be really young… Anyhooo…Um. Duh. I’ve been looking for him this whole time. You cannot predict when that right person will finally show up in your life. You’ll see. It’s not as easy as you might think.

Girlfriend, I give your marriage 2, 3 years max. Secondly, like attracts like...opposites repel. Since you believe opposites attract its because you see a project you are hell bound to fix. You're so delusional it's real bad. Please shake yourself and wake up. Dude is calm and peaceful because he is stable...thats what men do to women that can't even decide what they want to eat for dinner. You are that woman...you are 10 places at once. That's called masculine, you've become the man you want to marry....you need to chill out and Be feminine otherwise you are going to want to fix the 20% in your husband since he's not all that perfect. Those traits you mentioned in this video supports my claim to what you are going to fix first in him. You still won't be happy and wind up filing for divorce first then claim how he neglected, abused and took you for granted and you aren't happy because its all about you.

Ms. Quinlan, don't sweat the passage of time when searching for your special someone: When I was in my mid-twenties I was introduced to the young lady who would.....eventually, become my spouse. My girlfriend grew-up in a family of four brothers. She became tougher than her brothers. The entire family practices the martial arts. My 23 year old girlfriend was a black belt in Karate, Tia Kwan Do, Jujitsu, and Judo. Somehow, she expected me to also be a practitioner of the martial arts. I learned how to box and that's about it. One day, when when we were walking back to my car, she uses some kind of take-down on me, which not only fractured my skull (on the concrete walkway), but also broke my right arm. I tried to stand up but couldn't due to multiple momentary syncope. I asked her to please find a phone and call for transportation to the nearest hospital (unfortunately for me, the closest hospital to us was County U.S.C., where I was a 3rd year resident). I awoke two-days after surgery. My parents told me that my car is now evidence, and can't be released until after the arraignment of the thief. I remained off-from work for two-weeks. L.A. County Sheriffs office called my parents and told them that the thief would be arraigned the following Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. My parents drove me to the L.A. courthouse and we waited to see the person who stole my car. Sure-enough at 1: P.M., the court was called to order, the case was announced and the perpetrator's name was announced. It was my GF. The day she incapacitated me, my GF went back to the Bobs Big Boy to retrieve my car, and (no big surprise), she used it as her single mode of transportation for the next three-days. The LAPD pulled-her over and arrested her for grand theft auto (GTA). To this day, forty-two years later, she refuses to play GTA with me. OH, to this day, I still carry a loaded 45 acp handgun in holster around the house with me, just in case.

Great topic for discussion. One of the things of meditation is it lowers the frequency of the person.

Hi there, it actually raises the energy, frequency and increases the coherencey of a person. At Dr. Joe workshops the scientists have been there measuring everything they can thing to measure to see how a person changes on a biological and energetic level during meditation.

Congrats. Not saying you'd be pregnant in your marriage _(whilst being mindful of women's fertility situation with tact),_ however, as you are GenX and American, it is important for GenX American women who can have children to know that in doing so they resolve a generation fecundity _(fertility in number of births)_ bottleneck. So it would be important if you did manage to have children _(i.e. a good thing were you do have kids)._ It is a GenX-Boomer generation bottleneck whereby GenX Americans _(as in born of boomers)_ are quite rare and so the only way to undo that (or mitigate it) is for those GenX USA women to have children. Look up a population pyramid and see a time-period of population collapse. The only other demographic who would be able to solve it are the (USA) Boomer American women but obviously the fecundity (fertility) is less likely in the boomer as an older generation. The millennials do not 'solve' the problem _(and their fecundity has value in a different way)._ That demographic (GenX) USA women _(who thereby might maybe be able to have children)_ have a positive and a negative of being a particularly important demographic because of this role and potential "task" _(for want of a better word)_ but it is _(in the negative sense)_ perhaps a pressure. The population pyramid of USA shows the population collapse of GenX after boomer and then widening at millennials. Images of graphs show those population pyramids and a widely available on various sites, including on UA-cam. My comment has no hate in it and I do no harm. I am not appalled or afraid, boasting or envying or complaining... Just saying. Psalms23: Giving thanks and praise to the Lord and peace and love. Also, I'd say Matthew6.
