What great vocal tone and Randy has a perfect harmony! Video a bit out of synch, but if I take my glasses off it puts me in front of the stage for this groove.

Mike, you and Randy and Ed were among the greatest of the incarnations of Spirit, one of the greatest bands that 'nobody' ever heard of.

Saw this show in Evergreen. Always were my favorite band. Loved Randy and was devastated upon hearing of his passing. I met Ed the night of this show. He talked to me for awhile, signed an album cover for me. He was a true gentleman. Love Spirit

Just listened to the 72 LA radio live Kapt Kopter album again , and Randy was probably the most hendrix like player , way more than folks like SRV, etc. Randy plays the jimi parts SRV cant, and his soul/ funk chops help alot. SRV does the texas shuffle. I saw sprit in concert when 12 dreams just released , and again in 81 , in prime form both times. 12 dreams lineup could really sing., with Jay.

How many rock stars died while saving someone's (his son's) life? Not many, I gather. In addition to being a world class musician, Randy died a heroic death.
