3:38 The crazy thing about this meme for me is that I live in Arlington, TX 💀
You see the reason why minecraft isn't super fun for me anymore is because I was spending a lot of time on this world and I had so many plans for it. But the computer it was on stopped working and I never got the world back. I still enjoy playing it, but I don't think I'll get the actual feeling I had when I was playing it
Old music: strange, interesting, feels like a discovery every time, it's engaging. New music: no time for adventure, just farm maxing
I played old minecraft. Beta 1.7. I actually don't agree even a little bit that old minecraft is better. I think there are a lot of bad/poorly implemented things in modern minecraft, but modern minecraft still has a crap ton of good things that make the game feel awful to play without them there.
0:52 as a person from poland, i can comfirm that older versions aren't as much polish
I absolutely hate the ‘Deeper’ track that plays while caving. It literally has been looping itself for the past THREE HOURS while I’ve been mining and it’s driving me INSANE.
1:02 what's the original image?
Yo this is the video where Minecraft true veterans beef you bro
Thats a very good video

Mice on Venus always makes me sad
"Minecraft isnt what it used to be " yes thats called nostaliga which is a massive source of bias for literally everyone yet nobody can acknowledge it. It's been getting consistent free updates for over a decade yet people whine about it when you can quite literally go back and play ANY version you want at any time
You overlooked an important aspect of nostalgia that makes it such a powerful emotion: it evokes feelings of something new, unique, and different, in contrast to the familiar experiences we encounter today. People loved the original Minecraft because it felt alienating, which enhanced the personal, beautiful moments that players created on their own. In contrast, the current iteration of Minecraft feels like a jack of all trades that fails to excel in any particular area, unlike the original. Additionally, players often crave new and different updates, even when the majority may dislike them and fail to recognize their value today. These updates often seem trivial and superficial, akin to propaganda for world peace that will never truly exist.
@NonsenseCalYes idk man, I play a game about building with blocks, they add more blocks, I'm happy
@ That sounds fucking stupid.
I'm glad someone other than me is finally thinking like you. Sure Minecraft isn't what it _used_ to be, but that doesn't automatically make it bad. The new features are at least somewhat cool and exciting, the new music is boppin, the graphics, for a pixel game at least, are fantastic. Minecraft doesn't have to be what it used to be to be good, it's still, in my opinion, the best game on the planet. I wish more people could see that. :(
Uh... Tf you mean First of all you dont even have to acknowledge more "complicated" things like villager trading, I'm sure you can focus on the core fundamentals either way But not everyone's playstyle's are the same Also you barely explained anything about the music
The comparison between "old" and "new" Minecraft always seems to be between the most recent update and Beta. I find it strange that versions like 1.8 or 1.12 or 1.16 aren't a part of this discussion when the following updates- 1.9, 1.13, 1.17 and 1.18- have all made _massive_ changes to the game, some more loved than others. (Strangely enough, it seems like multiples of 4 are followed by these huge updates now) When discussing the "feel" of modern v.s. old Minecraft, I feel like it would help to ask at what point that feel _actually_ changed.
Minecraft Classic was like alien and home at the same time.

I think you have some of the most charming editing out of any modern UA-camr out there, keep up the good work.
Kumi Tanioka! I know her from FFCC and FFXI, neat surprise. She’s also a great Pianist! (I say this as a huge Square Enix fan, Final Fantasy is my favorite series along with NieR). Also, C418’s One is such a good album outside of his minecraft stuff.
Modern MC is easy, but not on pocket edition. I got jumped by 5 skeletons, 8 zombies, 4 creepers, a drowned with a trident and a baby zombie while I didn't have anything better than stone tools, and the lack of AOE hitting abilities was brutal. I still have the screenshot
Honestly, what I don't like about the new music is 1. it feels too loud/in your face compared to c418's background tracks 2. they play way too often, which wouldn't be that much of an issue if they were as "background" as c418's are 3. they playing in specific biomes, what made the old music so great is that they played randomly, you could be building a house or enslaving a village both while sweden is playing, now it feels like if you're going to a mangrove swamp only it's music will play (it worked in the nether due to it being only 4 biomes and the new music playing just as commonly as the old one, also the old one was less of background music and the new ones just felt right) 4. they seem to play way more than c418's music, like they're trying to emphasize that the new music exists by killing the appearance of the classic one, I think it has been a 6 months since I've hear living mice in-game and who knows how long songs like mice on venus, danny, or subwoofer lullaby also creator is probably my favorite song from Lena Raine, but doesn't fit at all in minecraft
you guys have lost your mind

Part of me wishes Mojang was never bought out by Microsoft because while we've gotten really awesome updates with tons of new features, you can tell that there's hardly any passion behind them, they're top priority isn't making a good game, it's about appeasing the shareholders and milking every last penny out of their nostalgia machine. That's why Mojang has ignored several design flaws like unfair game design and programming oversights because it was in the original indie title, and they're scared that they'll lose precious pennies. Not to mention that Bedrock is a cheap scheme to get more players, it's underdeveloped and riddled with bugs and glitches. For a company that's worth at least FOUR BILLION DOLLARS, they're doing absolutely fucking nothing to fix their one-shot wonder that made them that money, and don't even get me started with C418 and the fact Microsoft basically stole his music, refused to pay royalties, and then expected him to hand over the rest of his songs. TLDR: Modern Minecraft is a soulless, corporate mess, and Microsoft and Mojang need to get their shit together.
M o j a n g S p e c i f i c a t i o n s s s So calm.
Modern Minecraft feels like corporate cleanliness, made just for kids and beginners. It’s somehow forgot where it came from, sure, it has to go with time but some details I just don’t get is like changing the title screen logo from the classic one that was there since 10 years to this bedrock style. And when I see how many people worked on this game, that was a passion project from an indie team, and now a big office where tons of people contribute to it, it’s not the same. But at least we’re able to play the old versions with no problems.
THEY LITERALLY DENIED THE MOST SCARY WARDEN CONCEPT (The hollow) BECAUSE ITS "TOO SCARY FOR THE KID FRIENDLY STYLE OF MINECRAFT". Mojang is now a copy paste corporation that does "safe moves"
Probably my own bias speaking
Old Minecraft is like a walk through the forest. New Minecraft is like looking for your car in a WalMart parking lot.
Lena Raines new track are SOOO meat ridden all just because she's trans
No it's because the music is good. Crazy I know
minecraft music immersed me back in the day now with all the new shit, its comforting idk how to fight a Warren or a wither but when that music kicks in it like the game is going "dont trip"
3:30, even though it feels easily understandable how to play the game, some mechanics aren't really explained to new players, and some can be frustrating (cough, cough... brewing )
The only thing I don’t like about modern minecraft is that structures are too common, I can load up a random world and have 4 different structures right next to eachother which takes away the feeling of being alone in an empty unknown world.
I think what people mean by minecraft isn’t the same anymore is that it just doesn’t feel empty, old minecraft had few structures, less mobs, less biomes, blocks etc while new minecraft is packed full of content.
Most certainly
0:51 POLSKA GUROM 🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱
i am tired of people writing the most unconstructive falsest shit when you like the old game but don't like the modern game "you're blinded by nostalgia" "you can still play the old versions" people repeat similar phrases like that in offense of something you prefer so much that they almost forget what they're even talking about
i mean, theyre kinda right though
@@shreyaspamaraju262 nostalgia means to positively reminisce opinion means to prefer something they're not right at all and are instead just following popular opinion to feel better about themselves meanwhile attacking people who don't agree with it
Looking through the comments, it would be useful if not everything that Microsoft puts in MC immediately gets shoved in everyone’s face on the splash screen or channel, then dissected in great detail. Like what if they just dropped some new weird item, mob, or structure, or even a mechanic, in a hidden update, and said nothing? Just say there’s now “something”, and let players go snooping around for it. And, if there was actually a necessity in going to the various structures hidden in the world. You really only need a single nether fortress and the stronghold to beat the game, so there’s no real “use” in going for anything else unless you want somewhat stronger equipment (which barely applies anyways because like half the structures don’t have an upgrade). That’s another thing. It’s still really just iron, to diamond, to nether, to dragon, to “done 👍”. Nothing in between it, same as it has been since 1.12. And it now takes like less than 2 hours, probably, since now diamonds and ender eyes are so braindead easy to get in comparison to before. Then it’s rinse and repeat. But besides maybe “oh, I’ll live in a savanna this time” or “cool a loyalty III trident” or “I’m going to find a woodlands mansion”… nothing’s new. And you’ll run out of that too eventually. Like, Terraria has partially a similar issue, but that’s only if you stick to the single class. If you want to do melee? Don’t mess with swords anymore; try maces and nothing else. Or yoyos. Or even go half-ranger for the fun of it. A Terraria world immediately can let you branch in many different ways besides the 4 classes you have. But Minecraft? Iron, diamond, nether, end portal, dragon, and maybe wither. This is at least a good third of what your world’s playthrough will consist of. Like (and btw, I’m not trying to say Terraria is better than MC, just trying to prove a point), look at a set of endgame players in MC, versus a set of endgame players in Terraria. Chances are, if you picked any 5 endgame players from MC, and put them in a row, they’ll look identical. Even be identical, in terms of gear. But 5 random endgame players from Terraria? Dawg, you could easily get a mish-mash of different playstyles and gear. To be fair, Terraria does suffer in the same endgame bottlenecking as MC does; each of the 4 classes you can get all probably use the core 4 giga-weapons: last prism, zenith, SDMG, and kaleidoscope + terraprisma. I am ranting. I know that this a waste of time, and like no one will read this (or even understand half of it). But at the same time, I love both of these games. I just wish they didn’t stop being fun. Or I wish they gave me that sense of wonder from before. They’re sandbox games, after all, and creativity shouldn’t just mean “you can build anything you want.” Building is our main way through expressing creativity in these games, sure, but I definitely don’t believe it should put building as the only medium. That’s my comment; I’m gonna actually watch the video now.
To me the big difference between the new music and the original music, is that the new music is made for Minecraft, while the old music was made for a block game about building and exploring
Came here based on your mom’s Air BnB recommendation.Dope channel
Release 1.8.9 is the final MINECRAFT version of minecraft, after that it becomes harder and harder to say I enjoy the game. Plus 1.8.9, and before are the versions Ive played basically for as long as I can remember. New minecrafts blended soft art style just looks nasty, and smooth to me, so If i am ever forced to play it I find loads of retro packs, and such that revert the textures, and remove the new music that I consider to be garbage in the context of minecraft.
it would be cool if they would make a classic minecraft again, wow did
