Tiny On Tour E38 - Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie
As we continue south towards Sydney for my neice's wedding we pulled in to Coffs Harbour to see the Botanical Gardens and the harbour itself. I must admit that I could just sit all day watching the trawlers come and go in the calm harbour.
Next stop was to Port Macquarie where Donna-marie was really keen to visit the Koala Sculpture Trail and "Hello Koala" an entity setup to help with koala conservation. She was like a kid in a candy store looking at everything in the store!

Tiny On Tour E37 Mullumbimby Leagues Club, Byron Bay, Maclean Show Ground and Yamba
Переглядів 12816 годин тому
We leave the Scenic Rim and head back towards the coast to check out Byron Bay and Yamba and had some dramas as the site we booked at Mullumbimby was given to some one else, lucky for us they managed to sort a spot for us to camp for a couple of days. Byron was busy, it's a real beach town and it attracts a young crowd, I have never seen so many bikinis and swim trunks in any town centre before...

We head inland for the last 3 days of the year down to The Scenic Rim and setup base at Over The Creek in Tarome. This is a Hipcamp on a large ranch and all camp sites are well isolated from each other, The cows and horses roam free and they do not hesitate to come say "Hello!" A visit to Moogerah Dam was on the list as well as a trip into Kalbar, where we were pleasantly surprised to find a Su...

The rain starts to kick in as we make our way South but we are still having a great time. While exploring Armstrong Beach we came across a small table with a few buckets of mangos, these were huge and there were eight in a bucket. We continue South and pull into Bowen. It"s a great little town with several beaches, so if one was abit choppy, you just had to drive round to a beach on the other side! The famous Horseshoe Bay is a real hippie spot but we are in Queensland in the off season and the water was very stirred up with plenty of sediment so it was not like what you see in brochures. Want to catch the iconic Australian fish? Have a go at Barra Downunder, Ryan the farm owner allows fishing in some of his ponds and also has some gear for you to use if you need it. Very enjoyable, the waterfalls are so different in all the places on the circuit. Hope you get to Paronella Park, well worth it .x
