Everything I've heard by Wobbler is good. (This one was new to me.) Have you heard Änglagård? You'll surely like them! They're Swedish, rather than Norwegian, but I guess there must be a common Scandinavian vibe? In the 1990s, at least (I don't know about more recently), Sweden seemed to be the epicentre of an amazing prog revival.

John Frusciante is doing backing vocals and playing the solos with Omar on this song and fleas playing all the bass on this album. I actually found the mars volta and Omar’s music through Frusciante’s solo work. Definitely recommend the empyrean, and to recommend some of Omar’s solo work, old money (old money, population councils wet dream) and xenophanes (especially dessarigo) and their live performances of Poincaré are top tier progressive psychedelic music. Highly recommend these

Baggio was one of my favorite fantasistas back then, a true classic no. 10. And sadly he was only remembered as a dude who failed to score a penalty in the final. 😢 Oh, and btw, great reaction, mate. FII is one of my top three DT albums of all time. Cheers.

The Door off Sola Scriptura by Neal Morse is his masterpiece imo. A 30 minute epic including a delicious solo by the great Paul Gilbert.

Absolutely fantastic stuff. I prefer the new vocalist a bit (Andreas, who joined on Rites at Dawn), and they definitely have gotten better at transitions and the flow of their their compositions, but the early stuff is still absolutely mind blowing. This song especially reminds me of ELP and Genesis. Might I recommend the band Chronicles of Father Robin, which contains members of wobbler, along with other Norwegian folk musicians. Their song "Skyslumber" is pretty great.

One band that deserves more recognition is Hypnos 69. Also a classic sound. Their last album is proper prog. Try listening to the first track Requiem (for a dying creed). Another such band (however a bit more known thanks to its leader who plays now in Big Big Train) is Beardfish. You may start with the song called The Hunter

Omg, gonna second FXMLDR live with the Bluecoats. All solar powered, the Bluecoats, a DCI group, sampled their music that year, from their most recent full length album, so fun and so crisp. The song references aliens (FXMLDR is an abbreviation for Fox Mulder from X-Files) and these guys make it know that they dont take themselves seriously at all, despite being unbelievably talented. Something else to watch, maybe on your own, is their cover of "Party All the Time" by Eddie Murphy. Again, they DO NOT take themselves seriously. Thanks for the reactions, and hope you're enjoying listening to TYS! Edit: I feel it's important to note that this and your previous reaction was from their first ever album. They've released two full lengths since which are increasingly tighter as far as writing is concerned. Additionally, the lyrics are mostly positive (or ridiculous) in nature, but they're known to be purposefully ambiguous, so try not to dissect them too meticulously on a first listen! Thanks again!

I would recommend you to listen to The Last Human Gateway by IQ. Does seem to be rather Suppers Ready ish, but I love it.
