Kindly inform me dim light or full light we need to use for apistogramma because they don’t like light I think we need to make it dim?
Poor fish. 😢
Get someone to help with filmimg so they can zoom in for details when you are demonstrating your build or just do it yourself and edit out the cuts. Thanks
if u wanna be successful in raising discus fry.. forget about egg yolk..
Omg you are amazing what an idea thankyou for your channel
thanks for all the great info. i am new to shellies. i have 9 multifasciatus of various sizes in a 55 on reef sand and aragonite. what diameter of pvc pipe is it that you're using?
i would need one that i can hook up with my air line, not one that needs electricity on it's own
The pump that puts the water in can I put a 90 degree angle on it so it goes into the water to reduce noise?
Thanks! 😊
I'm from Singapore, thanks for the video.
Hi, thanks for your greats videos, do you have the link for the little zeiss container?.. Best regards. Patrick
Are you still doing UA-cam?
I'm uncomfortable with those hooks that latch to the side to adjust the shelves. They don't look strong enough
Lol, I use a rack system a 10th of the price of this system and it holds all my tanks, this unit is so much stronger than you could imagine. Your discomfort doesn't translate to real world practice.
@@michaelharris2952 we the fact the manufacturers who make these style of shelves all say they're not rated for fish tanks given a justification to be concerned
@JoeyPierce Show me where the rack it system says its not rated for fish tanks. It's rated weight and with enough bracing and foam mats they're fine. My bookshelf tanks weigh 40kgs full of water and aquasoil, that's 1/10th the rating of each shelf lol.
@@michaelharris2952 yeah I know what it says on the sites however when I've queried with them none of them want to commit
@@michaelharris2952 yes I know, I looked into them thoroughly, then contacted them. They won't commit to aquariums. Surely if it's a cheap rack system alternative they'd be advertising it as such. Shows a lack of confidence imo. I'd love to get one but their responses haven't filled me with confidence. I already use them in the loft and they do look flimsy.
I live in Brisbane and I am breeding Discus, would like to connect.i am also South African.
Why arent you making new videos ❤
Sorry, but unfortunately work and life is getting in the way. :-(
10 by 10 by 20 would make 2Liters right?
great way to spread disease, bacterial and fungal infections from tank to tank and great way for your separated fish to swim from tank to tank via the white pipe bridge.
You didn't explain how to properly size the PVC tube according to your tank size. You mentioned you would in the beginning but you didn't later on. I believe it strongly depends on how much water your pump pushes through per hour. Isn't this very important in order to not have one tank overflowing with time? The siphon needs to be able to bridge enough water into the second tank at least as fast as the pump pushes water into the first tank. Otherwise the second tank WILL solwly overflow, right? Or is that never going to be a problem because the siphon will just push it with more strength?
Thanks for all the details.
Incredible info
Beautiful and knowledge videos can you give me your number for better understanding
I’m currently trying to breed the kribs, is it normal for my female to bully the male? He’s pretty torn up but he’s still persistent.
Easier and more exact way of meassuring flow, as long as you keep diameter the same, is to see how high up each can lift water above surface. This is directly proportional to flow. Really good video though! Think I'm heading out to the hardware store tomorrow to modify mine.
great video thank you UFK for your info.
Beautiful setup. Thank you for sharing this. I'll give it a try
will you be making more videos?
I really would like to know what the temperature and PH for the water was.
Thank you sir 🙏
I've bin their a ton of times and close to there there is another aquarium shop called exotic fish
Thank you for your guidance. I am going to give it a try. I currently have a pair in a community tank..but have been undecided on trying to catch them and put into a separate tank of their own. Cheers
Great idea. I have stated to breed fish and trying to keep power usage down is always a battle. Great video.
squeeze ur dirty filter frok one of ur tank into a tub of tank water. u get infusoria instantly
Thank you for the wonderful idea! What size pvc elbows are u using here? Im planning to do this with my cherry shrimp 20L kmart tanks!
Never mind! U say 15mm in the video ^^
Really like your genius idea, double filtration up/down. Never seen that before. A+
Hi guys just a quick question iv had a female for 3 months in a 150liter tank I was looking around for a male who was around the same size/ bigger then the female she’s chasing a lot and sometimes she will go for a nip but they have been in there 3 days now and it seems like she is starting to show red purple belly and swims right up close to him he is definitely up for it, is it more for a time thing thanks in advance
wonderful
Hi sir..thank you for the video.its help alot and give a lot of aspiration
Wait, I’m confused. At no time do you mention an air stone other than that neither style uses an air stone. Then in first test run, unless my hearing is really bad, you say this is with the airstone.
Hi, I used 2, the one with the air stone does not produce the same volume as the one that I drill the tiny holes.
When to transfer the fry to the bowl? and how to do it?
Always good.👍 👍 👍 👍

Do you feed a Betta in a spawning tank
Hi, I do, but very little. Frozen BS
Do they like tannins ?
I find the darker water settles them and shows colors better.
Do they need dither fish if they are in a tank especially created for them ? 🤔
Hi, they don't, provided you have a pair that have selected themselves.
@TheUrbanFishkeepe Thanks so much I think that's my problem.
thank you so much man ❤
No problem!
Great Video thanks for all the information
Any time!
If I did a power pump at one end, does that mean I dont need a sponge filter in each tank anymore?
If you power pump is a filter, then you will be okay. Just watch stocking levels. A small canister filter will work well.
I just wondered about the mask the whole time , maybe it was just an option rather than mandatory 😷🤮🤧🤒 How I don't miss the masks !!!!
Hahahahaha
