just started at waffle house as a line cook and I'm taking notes lololol going from working a factory making $16hr to now doing line cook for $17.50hr I'm ensuring this job for the long term

Amazing short order cook

Being able to zero in and just cook is one thing, but to have no printed ticket, have 5 orders going on at once and then hearing some waitress standing off to the side go “drop 2 eggs over medium, 1 hash brown scattered smothered covered, 1 hash brown scattered and chunked, 3 bacon, 2 white toast, one wheat toast, 4 grits.”……. And have no ticket for it just have to listen and commit it all to memory instantly? I’d be having a friggin meltdown. Respect to the cooks.

Worked at a Waffle House for a year, was priority meat/patty cooker... this is harder than it looks. Always told a buddy 'I hate when they make it look easy, because then everyone thinks it is.' It's not. This guy has really good hand-eye coordination. Great job!
