He should just work at a normal pace for his own sanity, not rushing all the time unless he just enjoys that pace. They don't pay enough for the skills he's displaying. Jobs like that will overload you, and give other cooks help because they're not as fast, yet pay you all the same.
waffle house around here is either empty or you have to stand and wait to be seated, can be 10 am or 10 pm and you never know wtf your about to walk into. Foods always good either way, and cooks are always rotating to go outback to smoke lol
