Deep Freeze
When James gets stranded he must face his own prejudice and learn that he’s no different to any diesel.
I DID IT
Two years ago I began this journey. I first came up with the idea for this remake back in 2020 however it was only just a thought. In 2022 I moved to the home I’ve filmed all my of newer videos (hence why there been a lot of outdoor videos). However while I was moving I filmed a rough cut version of this adaptation which never saw the light of day. After years of putting it off I finally locked in and this December spent the past couple week (mainly days) putting this together. I hope you all enjoy.

Thomas gets his ego hurt when he finds out there’s a cooler tank engine coming to Sodor Hope y’all enjoyed this remake. Last year I remade Bluebells of England and never got around to the other remakes. I plan on doing the whole book but I imagine train stops play might give me some issues so don’t expect that too soon. The day this video goes up is also my birthday which I guess is a bit cool ...

Unless Hit wanted to make Ivo Hugh the protagonist their stories.
Not enough people are talking about this! It’s more original than most fanmade intros for this series (with most using Jim Henson’s Construction something something intro.) Also can I use this in a video?

This one is more of an idea for an anime I have, but here it is: in 1966, Topham is fucking assassinated, and the railway is taken over by British Rail. The steam engines are all scrapped, except for Thomas, who spends 20 years hiding in an old shed, slowly going insane until he eventually goes on a genocidal rampage, resulting in *HUGE* amounts of destruction on the railway. Thomas later ran away to the bluebell railway where he still is to this day.

PIANO: Arthur works perfectly in the RWS APOLOGIES TO THE UNLUCKY TUG This is technically the Unlucky Tug's headcanon, but i believe it; In Arthur's concept art, he has the number 41241, which belongs to a real preseved lms ivat 2mt tank engine, in Tug's headcanon Arthur is this engine. Now to dive into the backstory of the actual engine, it was built in 1949 by BR after nationalisation (it never wore any lms livery even though being an lms class) and it lasted until the end of steam. It was withdrawn in 1967, it never saw the scrapyard because it was bought the same year by the Keighly and Worth Valley Railway and was painted a maroon with the enitials KWVR on it. But in Tug's headcanon it didn't actually go to the KWVR after it was withdrawn, it went to Sodor. The reason the railway needed Arthur was because of this: Earlier the same year the Arlesburgh branchline was re-opened and Duck was promoted to run it. But this means that Tidmouth was without a pilot, but this is never touched on in the books. So the fat controller was in search for a pilot engine but he wanted a bigger more modern engine that could also pull goods trains when needed. Then he came apon the shortly withdrawn arthur, and purchased him from br. Arthur arrived in BR black, and the Fat Controller let Arthur pick what colour he wanted to be painted. Arthur had never worn Lms maroon like all his family because he was built after nationalisation, he was always in boring black, and he wanted maroon. The fat controller allowed it (with his Br number on the sides of his bunker in lms font) He arrived after Oliver, so he was officially the 12th engine, but he wears his service number, like Duck and Oliver. He was put to work at tidmouth. Thomas and Percy who were previously shunters themselves, showed him how to do things. It was during this time that Thomas pulled his trick on Arthur, and ruined his record. At this time BR had started closing branchlines across the country, and a couple years later, they decided to cut the Norramby Branchline (In 1925 the NWR had a deal with the LMS which allowed mainland trains to run from the mainland to Norramby and man the fish trains from the harbour there.) This meant the fishing industry there was up for grabs. If the fat controller wanted the line, he needed an engine to do it, he trialled a few and in the end, he chose Arthur. Because Arthur was a midland engine, he never saw the sea and wanted to work by it. Now he mans fish trains from Norramby to the rest of Sodor and the mainland. He has his own shed in Norramby, and doesn't really see much of the other engines, but as an introvert Arthur's fine with it, he finds the line relaxing. THERE FINALLY, it took sooooo long.
Awesome work. Love the sets covered in snow and James had me laughing! Excellent job.
Thanks a bunch! Glad you enjoyed it! James is probably the character I have the most fun writing for. Like sure he may be selfish but he always comes around in the end
🎹Piano🎹 In my headcanon, the Peel Godred electric line and the Peel Godred branch are two separate systems, so let me explain. In my version of the story, the Peel Godred branch isn’t part of the NWR but is instead run by a different company called the Harwick and Peel Godred Railway (H&P). This happened because, during tough financial times, the Sodor and Mainland Railway (S&M) tried to merge with the H&P to survive. At the time, the H&P was looking for a way to grow its business and considered merging with a company on Sodor. There were two choices: the S&M or the Cronk and Abbey Railway (C&AR). To give some background, in my AU, Sodor is 97 miles long from north to south and a huge 123 miles wide from east to west. Cronk is the island’s central town, located on a loop line that goes around Killdane and reconnects with the NWR mainline a little after Kellsthorpe. The H&P decided to merge with the smaller C&AR, expanding its track from 35 miles (Killdane to Harwick) to 68 miles. This grew even more when they extended their line to the city of Balladwail in 1942. - In 1932, the H&P launched the Peel Godred electric line. This 26-mile railway was built to connect towns at lower and steeper altitudes where the terrain would have required very steep grades. The electric line was a major achievement, powered by Sodor’s first nuclear power plant, which was specifically built to run the trains. - In 1967, there was an attempt to combine the H&P with the NWR. However, this plan fell apart after a crash between Murdoch (an H&P engine) and Gordon. While the full merger never happened, there was a short-term agreement later that year to separate both railways from British Railways. - The H&P also operates engines that aren’t seen often on the NWR. Characters introduced in the HiT era, along with other lesser-known ones, are part of its fleet. These include Arthur, Molly, Neville, Murdoch, and Stanley. The H&P also runs a narrow-gauge line based at Harwick, which is home to engines like Bertram, Little Giant, and Freddie.
Sorry in advance for the length
"piano" Gordon's Stanier rebuild is kind of bogus in the RWS, I prefer to think he was rebuilt into a standard A1 at Doncaster, it still makes him more special than the rest because he would be the only Gresley A1 not to be rebuilt into an A3

I recommend referring to the U.S Navy Band when looking up concert band recordings! They’re incredibly clean and the playing is on point. Loved the video because each year at school we have to play this in the band since it’s a tradition there- by the way, I loved it so much I even made my own ttte music video for it! I really do hope you check it out, I put a lot into it and think you’d enjoy it a ton.
5:22 I mean to be fair, even in the railway series Thomas isn’t the first engine on Sodor. He’s not even the 10th. And even if we’re only talking about the NWR, Edward actually arrived first, Thomas was just the first purchased by the railway officially since he and Edward stuck around for its entire construction before being officially bought
PIANO My headcanons: 1. Daisy & Boco are half-siblings 2. Skarloey acted like a child during the HIT era due to senility 3. Gordon used to act so boastful due to his time at the LNER, where express engines are mainly used for passenger services.
I have a headcannon as to how rosie got to sodor, where she came from and why she was changed to red, so during ww2 rosie was built and sent to the dockyard railroad to help with wartime efforts but do to a faulty lamp the workmen couldnt see what they were loading and the thought rosie was a tank or a different locomotive so she was put on a boat to sodor but after the war the dockyard railroad company marked her as destroyed in the war and she was officially sold to the nwr where she was painted red and works at vicarstown
2:55 PKMN GEN 4 REFERENCE
PIANO Just before the NWR's grouping, the S&M Bought a medium-sized tank engine and a veteran 4-4-0 to help out with hooking up Sodor's railways. These engines would become the NWR's Numbers (30)1 and (20)2.
Strawberry My headcannon for Neville is that he came to the island in 1942 to help with the war effort and the munition and steel trains, wich had increased after another engine's loss during the Barrow Blitz. He pulled heavy goods trains along the main line, occasionaly going to places like Brendam and Peel Godred. He was taken back to the Southern Railway in 1946, after the war ended and goods traffic was lighter. My headcannon for Arthur is that he arrived on Sodor in 1961 on a 10 year loan from BR to pull stopping services and small goods trains along the main line. He was bought by Sir Topham Hatt in 1971 to prevent him from being scrapped and became the railway's number 12. In 1975, he was moved to help restore the Kirk Ronan line and run it once it was open. P.S: His accident happened in 1961. In my headcannon, the biggest dairy of Sodor, Stone & Co., was to realocate to a new factory near the banks of the Els river. The dairy made and arrengement with the NWR in 1962 to build a small yard at the site, with a junction to Thomas' branchline just after Toryreck station. With Sir Topham's help, the manager, Adolf Stone, bought a LNER Y7 tank engine to service the industry and pull the dairy trains to Knapford Haurbor. The engine's name was Laura, gaining the name "Lady of Toryreck" when entering service at Mr. Stone's dairy. Misty Island does exist in my headcannon. It's a small island southeast of Brendam at the mouth of the Suddery Bay. It was special for being one of the few rare locations where a tree species native to Sodor could be found ( along with a few bubbles west of Kirk Ronan ): Joaby wood. In the 1890's, a narrow gauge logging rail line was built on the island, with a small custom 0-4-0, designed by Bertram Hatt, being built to take the logs to a small pier, where barges took it to Brendam and Kirk Ronan. The little railway was shut down in the 1940's, when joaby wood was becoming sparse. The locomotive was going to be sold for scrap, but the ship it was in was torpeadoed by a German U-Boat south of Brendam haurbor. The original engine was never recovered, but a replica was built in 2011 for the Balahoo Railway Museum. Misty island is now a nature reserve since 1979 to preserve the nearly extinct Joaby Wood, wich only about 2.091 examples are believed to exist as of 2024 ( only 596 in 1979). P.S: The locomotive, although faceless, was jokingly named "Dash" by the workers, due to it's quick acceleration speed.
Piano! I believe there have been 3 Thomases throughout history; Thomas I: E2, 1915-1926 Scrapped- unreliable and weak Thomas II: J50, 1926-1960 Deemed uneconomical to repair after the Breakfast incident, sold on to a private owner Thomas III: Jinty, 1960 - present Transferred from Shed 12E Barrow-in-Furness, has run reliably ever since.
How do I describe this? Well, I could say it’s interesting
I would've prefered this scenario
I’m not gonna lie The engines CAN shunt Tankers that is explosives or ignite can be a advantage to assist but it be destructive and will cost the repairs to be expensive for the controller to be fixed so IT CAN BE OP AS HELL
🎹 piano 🎹 Whiffs glasses are made from recycled parts from crowns gate, the scrapyard and the waste dump. Speaking of glasses, other engines like Edward have them too.
NGL to ya, man, this is a mighty fine take on adapting the Railway Series in the Classic era of the TV series. But if I had a multimillion dollar budget to spend on space and resources, I’d remake the entire TV series using models from scratch in multiple scales: Gauge 3.5 for the standard gauge models, Gauge 1 for the narrow gauge models and Jack and the Pack, Gauge 1.5 for the mountain railway models, and O scale for the minimum gauge models. I’d also adapt all the Railway Series books and incorporate the TV series exclusive episodes into my own take on the series, but have as many of the TV series exclusive stories and characters as possible rewritten and reintroduced in a setting that would fit in with the Railway Series setting, as well as introducing characters made entirely off the top of my head and adapting stories based on real life events, much like how the Good Reverend and his son did with their books. Just my two cents on it, though.
I would honestly agree with what you think Season 5 could've been if they adapted RWS stories instead of their own stories. But I think personally that the episode that should come before Old Stuck Up would be Super Rescue. I think because in Old Stuck Up, Bear makes an appearance. In order to give Bear an introduction, they adapt Super Rescue, so people won't quest who Bear is in Old Stuck Up. I think it's always best to give a RWS character an introduction episode so they won't appear out of nowhere (like they did with Duck, Donald Douglas, Oliver, Boco, or whoever). Just my personal opinion. I do wish Bear appeared in the TV series. And if they were gonna use D199 and Old Stuck Up as characters used, they'd probably use the Bowled Out Diesel model for both diesels, but use different faces to differentiate them.
In my headcanon is Alfred/98462 and Crovan Cecil/87546 are both now reformed engines because Alfred Holden/98462 is GER Class S69/LNER Class B12 and now works on Norramby Branch Line/Arthur's Branch Line and Crovan Cecil/87546 is a prototype of LNER Class B17 and was now being The Governor of Sodor's private engine and Alfred/98462 was built in 1911 and Crovan Cecil/87546 was built in 1907 and rebuilt in 1928
🎹PIANO🎹 in my head Canon Hiro is a Cape gauge locomotive(cause he is ) and worked on the "sodor and sodor mountain company " which operated cape gauge locomotives Some of them included Sar class 19D's And SAR class 1A tank engines Alongside a prototype GF garratt Which was sent to South Africa after its successful trials in the lower exchange yards below Devils peak in culdee All the imported South African loco motives are still owned in sodor however is joint owned by the sodor transport and freight museum Many others such as 25NC's and 15F' were purchased In the late 60's from Henchel and sonne including north british locomotive works If you like this please consider using it in the next video Thanks for listening
An enjoyable video, certainly a fun ‘what if’ scenario. As much as I love much of Season 5 as is and quite like parts of seasons 6-7, it’s interesting to imagine the alternate timeline where seasons 5-7 happened as outlined in this video. I also think Super Rescue could have worked in this alternate Season 5. Have it take place right before James and the Diesel Engines and have it be a prelude to that saga. Spamcan can replace Old Stuck Up (they may as well be the same character), and Bear can replace The Works Diesel (who was more of a plot device than character and would give Bear some more much-needed focus). Would give the Bear and Spamcan models some mileage too. It could replace Triple Header or Fire Engine, one of these could be in Seasons 6 or 7 instead. Just a thought.
But it can be achived the Minature Gauge because The Narrow gauge Engines were Built to go on O scale track so they could have made Them OO
It tastes like steam.
