STAR TREK SOLO RPG - You Dont Own Me
This is a cool gadget. I'm a bit curious about getting one myself so I can build it. And yes, you can start thinking like an engineer this late in life.
I'll bring up extremely classic & popular 90's & 80's movies in conversation and people will give me a blank stare saying they never heard of it...but they always know Jaws! It still holds up amazingly.
You are so very right!
I had a good time with this one. Not near the adrenaline rush of Fury Road but Alyla Browne and Anya Taylor Joy did great as Furiosa but Chris Hemsworth was the show stealer for me! I did feel some pacing issues but overall it was an enjoyable return to the wasteland. Great review!
Thanks buddy! Yeah, Hemsworth’s over the top villain performance surprised me! At 2hr 30min it was a bit long (and noticeable) and it could’ve been cut by 30min has lost no joy for me. I know there’s most likely another sequel in the works, and for now, I’d be ok with more “witness me” action.
Ties into the Mad Max game from 2015, in the game you fight Scab Scrotus and mentions that he took over from Dr Dementis. And Chumbucket had a cameo in this movie but only saw in credits, need to watch again to raise a glass. Just watched Red Dog (2011) again, same landscape but based on true story.
Wow! I had no idea, I’m going to have to check this out! Thank you.
Fine I’ll watch it. Only because of the great review though.
It’s good stuff!
Kennedy this u
Dystopian eye candy for steam punk fans everywhere.
It's bullshit. Another crap American off take from the real Australian made Mad Max . Once again the American movie machine totally screwed up a good product.
Would this world work as a series? Maybe a limited run? I need more.
I wouldn’t mind a series in this genre!!
Loved it. From the Babe films to the Mad Max films, I just love the overall filmography of George Miller. Love how he infects a heavy dose humanity to all of his movies.
I went to the theaters to see this; I was so darn spoiled by previous action movies 🎬 and seeing a movie that's character driven, and steady pacing to fill in the development have been a new experience for me and a throwback to when action movies weren't all Guns blazing and explosions. This movie was a new experience for me and i loved every minute of it. From the surround sound to the characters. ❤ I also loved how Chris Hemsworth characters costume goes from White, to red and finally to Black. 😮 A reflection of his character development.
It was clearly more than just poptarts
This is the first video of yours ive seen but your joy for this show is so infectious and it's really refreshing to see an "older" fan (i don't know your actual age but I'm in my 20s so you know) be as enthusiastic for the modern era as I am when so many are bashing it for being "woke". I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the rest of the series 😁
Didn’t realise till the end how little following this channel is, you speak well enough for the channel to be ten times the size lol. Make the thumbnails and titles more UA-camy and I’m sure you’ll be there in no time
I can’t do it anymore. They have destroyed The Doctor. I feel this season has been an absolute disaster. Just finished “Rogue”. Spoiler alert! The Doctor has gone from charming, brilliant, resourceful and compassionate to randy, selfish and hypersexual. I don’t care if The Doctor is male or female, it doesn’t matter what color The Doctor is, and The Doctor’s complex and ambiguous sexual orientation has been danced around before but with much more grace and subtlety. What we have now is nothing but a flamboyant, horny space traveler who’s just trolling to hook up. Never before have I seen The Doctor so desperately pursue an individual trying to entice them to become his companion simply because “they’re hot.” The Doctor has become far too shallow and far too focused on his own sexual desires. There’s been so much emphasis on how they’ve changed the nature of The Doctor that they’ve lost touch with everything that WAS The Doctor. I’m saddened, even disgusted, that the overemphasis on DEI has led to grossly stereotypical portrayals of gay men as greedy, oversexed fops who will flaunt their sexuality just to make a scene and I can’t escape the feeling that the writers and show runners and just rubbing our noses in the fact that “The Doctor is now a horny, gay black man!” without just letting him be. I cannot overstate my disappointment.
My intro to Doctor Who was Paul McGann in 1996. I randomly watched it and loved it. So when the series restarted in 2005 I was very interested and my love for the show has just grown.
For future reference Ncuti Gatwa is Pronounced Shoo-ti Gat-wah
I found a clip of Him saying it and explaining the pronunciation and he barely says the “N” before saying the rest. But I still can’t get it right 😂. Google “Ncuiti Gatwa pronounces his own name.”He says he’s been doing it wrong for years.
So nice to hear a really positve review. I've been loving it, its nice to see how much others love it too.
SHINY ROCKS?? GIVE THE GORILLA TAG PEOPLE SOME
Why does this feel so relatable
Thank you for this
I have been a big fan of Dr. Who since the 70s. That said, Dr. Who really made a big comeback with Christopher Eggleston. Matt Smith, fez’s are cool, is just too awesome! Peter took on the face of a Pompeii native. Nautical just brings it on home!
Danette and I just watched the first episode last night, I like the new guy, it should be fun. And, I think my favorite is Matt Smith, when he first becomes the Doctor he's figuring out his outfit, on the roof of a building getting ready to tell off some aliens (I think it's a big eye?). Love that, and the music is perfect!
I drifted from Dr Who during Capaldi's run, then caught up so I could watch Jodie's run but again drifted away. I thought it was just me, I thought I'd "outgrown" (i.e. changed) and I simply couldn't enjoy the show anymore, but then when I heard RT Davies was coming back I tried it out again. The specials with Tennant and Tate had joy and colour to them, so I started Gatwa's series. The first couple of episodes were meh to me, but my goodness, from Boom onwards each episode has been better than the last and I am back in the fandom bebay!
Ncuti is fantastic. Absolutely fantastic.
Thanks! Made me hyped to watch the new Doctor Who episodes.
Nice!
I enjoyed the show as well. Can’t wait til you hit 1000! Your thoughts are always encouraging and positive. Keep it going sir!
And this godzilla and this godzilla, and this godzilla and check under your chairs, this godzilla, and don't start your cars, this godzilla, and this godzilla, and this godzilla, and door-to-door Jesus saves godzilla, and this godzilla, and this godzilla, and green eggs and this godzilla.
Hahahahahaha!
Just saw it the other day, and yes, loved it! Got all the feels when the music was playing....oh man!
Right?! The music is sooo good!
Two other Star Trek games I highly recommend; ST Fleet Captains and ST Frontiers. STFC is, IMHO, the best representation/interpretation of Trek in a board game ever. Base game includes Feds and Klingons, and you can add Romulan and Dominion expansions. Players control a fleet of 2-4 (on average) starships and every turn is spent exploring and accomplishing missions, adding to your crews, etc.. I describe it as every game is a season of a Trek series and every turn is an episode. It is tremendous! Star Trek Frontiers is somewhat similar but you only control one ship and the game is a hybrid of board game and deck building game. The rules can be a bit fiddly to get the hang of at first, and there are some odd twists you have to come to grips with as a fan, like having romulans, Klingons and Feds all serving on the same ship sometimes. However, it is also an EXCELLENT solitaire experience. If you can track down the out of print Return of Khan expansion, it is even better.
Totally forgot about this show! Bro, we probably pretty much close to old as dirt!😂😅
Woodward's son was a Technomage in Babylon 5.
It was also the plot of Th Littlest Hobo. You're eelcome.
Yes it was
Whaaaaa...theres still EIGHT more than the list you show?! I somehow have not been informed lately. This mystery/crimes edition just sounds intriguing. I don't see too many games with that sort of subject.
Thought Discovery ended strong. I'm happy we got an extended episode. I wish we'd gotten a bit more explanation on the Craft/Calypso thing, but...we don't always get what we want. Rayner retaking the chair and Discovery jumping the Breen ship to the galactic rim, that whole sequence was great, maybe my favourite part of the finale. Sad how things ended with Moll and L'ak, but they were great characters. Also Saru's standoff with the Breen...man, Saru might be my favourite character from Discovery.
Thank you for a beautiful video!! I hope you get to 1000 subscribers soon!
I enjoyed Discovery immensely. Sure, the first two seasons were a bit rocky due to them being written and produced by committee rather than having a singular voice in a solid showrunner, but the show got better and better as it went along. It took me three seasons to really fall in love with it too, just because of how different those first couple of seasons were from what we'd had before. But they found their footing and we got a great show out of it. The finale was awesome! I talked to a buddy of mine about it the next day and that saucer separation maneuver done to speed away the Breen ship using the Spore Drive was really cool, but also completely insane. And yet, Rayner and the crew did it.
I adore the reboot trilogy Rise, Dawn and War and Andy Serkis played Caesar perfectly. I love Caesar so much he’s my fave film character ever. The Rise, Dawn , War and now Kingdom films are masterpieces to me and criminally underrated and unappreciated by many people. I have seen the 1968 original but i didn’t like it and a couple of the sequels but didn’t like them much either. Maybe watching Rise, Dawn and War spoiled them for me but i prefer apes to look like apes and that’s what Andy Serkis and the actors did in the reboot trilogy and what Owen Teague did with Noa. I loved Kingdom and went to see it twice. For 2hrs 25 mins long it flew in for me. I cried when Caesar died and at the beginning of Kingdom again for Caesar. Thanks for your comments. Take care 😘🏴 #ApesTogetherStrong ❤️ #CaesarNeverForgotten❤️💔😭🤧 ❤️ #TeamNoa (Kingdom) ❤️
Thank you so much Alison for your words. Yes, so very much to everything you said. Apes together strong!!
@@thetombottelsenshow 👍🏻😘 #ApesTogetherStrong ❤️ have a great weekend. Take care 😘🏴
Uh oh! Seinfeld will whine that the "woke "crowd hated his movie and fail to see it was not a good movie. Expect him to do a segment on Bill Maher.
"I wanna go on the ride." This is a quote i wanna say whenever a new movie is coming soon. (The New Crow movie 🎬) I had fun with this movie and i loved it. ❤ Furiousa was a really fun ride and i hopw you have fun watching it too, Mr. Bottelston :) until next time; ✌️🤟🖖
Why are you tinted green???
My only complaint is that Morph is not on that poster
this show was so perfect. one of the best things marvel has ever put out. i hope the following seasons are just as good and that they even bring back the spiderman series from the 90s. i just hope the batman series that continues the animated series will be just as good.
Hey! Wanting to get into Star Trek and didn't knew how to start, think I'll start with Tier 2. Then, think I'll binge TNG, return to TOS and continue from that! Thanks :)
You’re welcome! Let me know what your favorites are?
I remember when our brother Don saw the first Bill and Ted movie, he said 'just don't worry about thinking, and you'll have fun.' Suspension of Disbelief. Nicely said! Nice review dude!
Haha! I remember that!
Just have to say love the beard you have you are cool 😎
Loved the movie thought it was great hope they bring astronauts back in it in the next film it would tie the films together neatly i love all the original films to they were written well 🎉
My sisters and I grew up on the monkey movies, so we took our mom to see this for Mother’s Day, and YES it was all you said it was!
