Hello, the regulator is now different and the adjustment direction is reverse to this style, the companion video I have made "how to tune your krait" or a similar name highlights the different types, all other elements such as valve and hammer etc are the same, there have been several progressive updates to the rifles over the last 2 years such as plenum volume reduction, valve output size optimisation etc but most changes are below the surface and invisibly enhance the rifles operation without user intervention, there is a change to the trigger adjustment in that an additional length of travel adjustment has been introduced into the rod which is a nice upgrade

@@toufikazar The regulator on the left is the older AMA design unit that CAN be adjusted up and down under pressure as the adjuster only affects the stack tension and doesn't affect the sealing faces so it is safe to adjust them, HOWEVER there is a flaw in that type as a whole which is why it was replaced by the Huma units shown on the right, most likely whichever direction you adjusted your regulator it was going to fail. @@AirMaksarmsUK thank you for your reply. Ok I understand now. Yes I replaced it with the one on the right and it is working perfectly. I have all 3 models Krait, Katran and Caiman but as you have also mentioned I bought the Krait 2 years ago but the others recently. The new ones have no problems at all and now krait is perfect. Keep up the good work and thank you for taking the time to produce these videos.

this is the only adjustment on these older Kraits, newer ones have a 2 piece rod that allows easy adjustment to the travel distance aswell. You can lighten the overall effort a bit by relaxing the pre-load on the spring which is on the rod, but to make it much lighter would require a different spring on the middle lever just below the valve adjuster as the strength of that spring makes a large difference to the overall weight, as for getting it down to 1 pound, afraid I do not know if that would be achievable.

Fitting these to a Katran PRS stock (Katran N/Pro) would require an extra hole being made, I did bring this up with the factory earlier in the year and I believe they did a prototype of that modification but I am not sure if it will be going into production

Hello, The plenum gauge allows you to monitor the plenum pressure, this is useful during initial set up and after servicing, it also allows you to log details when trying different tunes to better analyse your data

@@grahamgeorge1130 that will depend on the rifle, I dont have a particular standard pressure, I let the rifle tell me what it needs and then set it accordingly, around 60 bar is a pretty common pressure for them

Yes exactly right, very handy for the FAC shooters to take a spare bottle thats ready to go :)

The PIP was filmed weeks earlier, before I had actually set the rifle up, I just put it in during editing to fill the space as otherwise there was not a lot happening in that corner, you will notice the cheek piece and grip are the original black in that where I had swapped to Blue by the time I did the pellet testing

@@AirMaksarmsUK I hadn't noticed the difference in the cheekpiece. So it the Krait pellet fussy or do the majority of pellet brands and weights get reasonable groups or are some groups scattered far and widespread?

Hi, this is an old video, the instructions only relate to original design regulators, younger guns with Huma Regs are opposite direction, I recommend watching my newer video about tuning these

The bottle thread is standard in the industry but afraid I have no idea about the rifle side, if you can find out the specific thread of the rifle in question we can take a look

As much as these guns cost, this should be standard on the rifle.

If yours looks like the one on the right then you have a mk2 block with a Huma regulator currently installed

Not by default, we have a valve kit accessory available to make it detachable which comes with 1 rifle mount and two bottle valves so you can hot swap bottles in the field

That is strange, on this older unit I think there must be about 5 or 10 seconds between shots at most, not 20

its possible that your rifle needs more time to build the charge between shots than a low powered rifle like mine does, the way the system works is that the capacitors change the voltage from the 9.6v of the rechargable battery up to the higher voltage needed to operate the reverse solenoid, if the capacitors are a bit old they may be more resistant to building that charge so takes longer to reach a ready state
