While Nicole is settling in Pretoria, Dawie hit the shores of Umkomaas Beach for a solo fishing trip and brought in an exciting haul! He landed 3 king fish, a blacktail, and a beautiful diamond trevally, but the adventure didn’t stop there - a mystery fish got away at the last second. 🎣 Great family fishing fun time. The mangrove swamps are awesome and are vital areas for aquatic life and trees etc. The bigger fish must be there or will be soon. Those striped "spikey" fish are, Thorn fish, 🎣
@@michaeleverton4882 the mouth was closed this time unfortunately but I am sure there will be bigger fish there again once it opens up again!
You guys brought back good memories,use to go Mtunzini with my family over the holidays. Learnt how to fish in that estuary. Use to stay at the log cabins use to be millions of crabs in those mangroves.

Hey.... The 1 she put in the bucket is called Tilapia and the smaller ones are called glassy, good for bait and good video 👌

🎣 can make spoon lures from a real spoon,! ... Drill tiny hole near front and another on short handle section. Put long shape sliding sinker close to swivel or little further up line. Can add extra hook where swivel/s is. Experiment with your design of them, ... "Catch some bigger Shad" 🎣
🎣 If a spoon is old and stained, glue a silver piece of pimple foil from a tin like coffee etc, on outside curve and inside spoon hollow. Or piece of broken mirror on inside curve, that will add little weight too. Or try Shiny side pieces of wrapping foil. Clean your expensive shiny lures with something suitable; not with anything abrasive,! ... 😊 🎣

Awesome video,keep the lure fishing videos.coming through...blue lagoon you have to go.ultralight like a 7 foot rod and 2500 size reel with 2 inch or 3 inch paddle tails or jerk minnows with 1/8oz jighead. Lots of juvenile black tip kingfish and kob.

Nicole, awesome video and the positive input for the fishing community. Just one thing, I noticed you guys measure the shad incorrectly. Should be from the nose to the V in the tail, not the tip end of the tail. Otherwise well done !! Just relook your measurement ways for all fish.
