Btw my experience is is near death experiences I’ve had. The only thing you want when death is baring down on you is LOVE! You absolutely crave love. If you have love all of your problems go away. The problem is all the training I’ve been in I’ve never once heard anyone mention it. So now younger FFs I make it clear to make that a point. Make sure your family life is good. Make sure you have love and you will be invincible when the day comes. Not invincible in a wreckless way but as in fears will fall away. That burden that gets in your stomach. You just feel peace if you have love.

I suddenly realized how badly I wanted my boss’s job, because I knew I didn’t want that person giving me direction. Not because of pride, but out of regard for personal job satisfaction.
