@@jam7504 Interestingly, no. Tina gave Charlie a box of Novelties the first time we visited but no freebies for me this trip. I guess when I think about it, I've gotten freebies/discounts about 50% of the time for my retail shopping. That's including the policy at the seasonal tent where I get paid in store credit but can only claim the employee discount for my non-credit purchases. (She gives me a very good hourly rate of credit pay so I'm very content 🙂).

@@ShooterMcNut I almost got those ones. I watched the demo a bunch of times but wound up going with the Pyro Demon because I wanted the brand. Now that I know where to find them, did you like them?

Thanks for asking me to put it up sooner rather than later! I might not have if you hadn't sent that comment on the NOAB demo. I'm so excited for the rockets too. I might have to find a way to light a few before the snow melts. I can light the little moon travelers here but those Radioactives might draw attention 😂.

Hookset is really nice. It's a little deceptive because she has mountains of the same cakes stacked in various locations throughout the store but I don't think anyone could go in there and not find a pile of great fireworks to take home. Thanks for watching! I totally appreciate it.👍

Awesome, glad to hear you're enjoying the videos. I have lit off spinners that had small breaks before. We did a shenanigan for the boys last day of school last year with 30ish Aerial Boss spinners going up at once. (That may have been the event that landed a spent firework on my neighbor's porch 😂). I'm super psyched for trying all the different rockets, especially the Radioactives and the Mega Willows. I'll definitely keep the shell comparison on the agenda. Usually I try to do a full demo of a kit before I break one up for other stuff so I have an idea how it will perform so I've got a lot of cannisters to light 😁! One Hot Kryme was one of the 200s that I'd decided on ahead of time so it'll likely be at the front of the bus when I can start recording again too!

@@dennisblazey3315 Thanks Dennis, glad you liked it! I'm planning on documenting the whole "learning the firing system" process throughout several videos. Once the weather starts warming up I'll be beginning that 😃. I'm actually thinking about using the wheels for the front of the Diwali board and getting a Spiro Spark from Winda to go in the middle. It's designed to have two wheels spinning in opposite directions simultaneously. I've seen several demos and I know that the seasonal tent up here carries it. Both video ideas are simmering in my plans right now along with many others. And I still want to do my regular style demos with a bunch of those cakes too. I definitely won't be bored once things get warmer!

Yeah, because Tina was opening up special, I didn't put a lot of word out that I was coming down. Once stores are just "open" again and the weather is better it'll be easier to get together. It'd definitely be fun to get together again sometime. Speaking of goodies, don't think I've forgotten about the double jeopardy shells you gave me last fall! Whenever I get something cool I have a tendency to hold onto it for a long time because I want to save it for something special. I've been thinking about incorporating them into a 500 subscriber special. It's still a ways off but I love a good excuse to go over the top and the boys and I have already started talking about it 😃🎉💥👍

Absolutely! I think I will probably do that comparison, but not till after I demo all three of the kits first. Yeah, Tina was saying people are already asking about the 250th fourth of July in '26. That'll drive up demand a lot and if the pres. puts tariffs on Chinese imports than firework prices will definitely be affected 😕.

Yeah man, I had the solo walkthrough in mind as a backup plan in case you couldn't make it. I'll admit I kept an eye on the door in case you got there but it's never a bad day buying fireworks too. Now I've just gotta find a way to get out and shoot some of this stuff 😂

@@jayssafeandsane Ha ha, it's probably gonna be a while before I make the trip (I've got plans for another large purchase next month) but I sure will 👍!

I absolutely agree with you that wheels generally get no love from the community - and that's a real shame. They offer great effects and can be arranged on devices (like your brother's wheel stand) so that multiple units can be lit in groupings and act as an effect "force multiplier".

Wheels are actually one of the last firework types for me to try, probably because I don't have anything to really attach them to without building a designated structure. That said, I have plans for a couple of such structures to eventually go in at Pyro Camp (like the raised rocket launch I mentioned). I have already got a plan for using the small wheels I got at Hookset in the foreground on my Diwali board with a larger one (Winda's Spiro Spark) in the center. There's a lot more I've already thought of for that too considering it's only January 😂. It'll definitely be bigger than last year...

@@henryleslievermont6004 I do indeed have awesome neighbors! But I also make sure to be a good neighbor myself. That means both keeping the noise down when people need rest and not dropping spent shells and rocket sticks all over their yards. We still have fun, just save the bigger items for camp. 😊

@@VermontPyroBoys802 Yup, I always get my permit from the Fire Chief, let the local Police know the date of the show (2 weeks ahead) and invite all the neighbors. 👍🎆

@@VermontPyroBoys802 Just be prepared for super outrageous prices. They do run some 70% off specials and some managers specials. I have noticed that the stand/tent prices, though high, are actually lower that the super store. If you can find them in a retail store such as Costco or Walmart they are much much lower in price.

@@mikeharcharik2975 He doesn't always have the camera but I wish he did! He does such a great job and his enthusiasm is fantastic. This demo was from July and I shot a lot more fireworks than I do through the rest of the year. I think he was quiet because Franklin was deep into the mix😅

@@dennisblazey3315 I agree with you on the crackle. It's an effect that I feel is overused in a lot of fireworks in general. That may be why this particular demo fell by the wayside as I frequently go out of order and post what I think will work best in the moment. Yes, it's definitely hard to nail down a "favorite" brand too. As I was talking to the camera my mind was definitely going to Pyro Demon/Diablo as well as Happy Family. Winda is definitely a staple for me as well. Every demo I've seen from Racoon looks great but I don't have a lot of access to them very often, just a random cake here and there.

@@jam7504 Superior products are just constantly impressive. You can tell that they really put a lot of effort into developing fireworks with a wide variety and good mix of effects. I'm really excited to see more of their products.😃

@@dennisblazey3315 LoL, that's great! At the moment, the "glaciers" are at least 12" of snow deep and without a driveway I have my doubts I'll get my car into the field 😅. Regardless, enough other commenters sounded interested so I'm going to edit and upload the walkthrough/stash video sooner rather than later. It's just too true about the ring effects. I shot a demo for a cannister kit with two ring shells recently and they both broke perfectly. I'll be really excited when I decide to upload that one! Still, I wouldn't seek out ring effects specifically but I definitely don't mind when a few are thrown in with other stuff either 😀.

@@64squarepyro Thanks Luke. Yeah, for the cost of a NOAB, Ring Ring was a little underwhelming. I'll keep an eye out for Disco Ball though I usually only buy NOABs if they're on sale. I have a cannister kit that had two ring shells that broke really well recorded for the future. It's definitely an awesome effect when it works! Great observation, you are correct. There were only two breaks of the nine that were really big. The first one and the seventh (the third looked okay but was at an angle so hard to tell). Interestingly enough I thought you might like this one because it seems like it would fit nicely into the middle of a show with some lower level items fired below.

Pyro Camp is snowed in and there's no driveway yet!😂 I've gotten my car in through 8" of snow but it's currently over a foot. It's rough because I got some really great stuff and I can't wait to light a few!

@@jam7504 I really loved the pacing of this one. The delayed lace effects really helped blend all the shots together as well. This is probably the best cake I've seen from Sky Painter so far.

@@603pyro I picked this puppy up at Northstar Fireworks here in VT. Not sure where you're at in NH but if you can ever make it up, they're worth the drive. Their cannister prices easily compete with NH and they've got a great selection of stuff.
