It really was a beautiful cake. I've recently added a couple other willow cakes to the stash. It would be fun to do a comparison sometime.

The tent was asking $75. Honestly, I probably wouldn't have gotten it but I earn store credit for the time I spend helping out and she's pretty generous with the rate. I'm also allowed to have the employee discount for cash transactions. Without those, I wouldn't be getting much of the bigger stuff (except for the road trips to NH)😅

Definitely lived up to my expectations

52 seconds is a bit short for a 200g fountain, I usually expect at least one minute. And yeah, I totally elevate all my fountains! All the glitter and sparkle needs room to fall gracefully before hitting the ground.

We've all got our preferences. You might notice that I rarely shoot Roman candles... Still buy them every once in a while, just not really excited about them.

Winda seems to do a good job on their fountains. They put enough different stuff in to keep them interesting.

Yeah. I've seen a lot of funky labeling on 350s. The two main stores I use both have a "350g" section but it seems like the companies are hesitant to use the classification. It's funny because I feel like most people would look at the powder weight when considering how much they're willing to spend.

@@VermontPyroBoys802 I have read some discussions about 350's that suggests that they will remain semi-niche low volume product because cake production in China is largely structured to produce tubes configurations aimed at producing 500's and 200's in volume. In my mind, that logic doesn't stand up since going from a 200 cake to a 350 cake is often just about increasing the number and mix of tubes from the 200 gram base line. But then again, I don't run a Chinese fireworks company - LOL!.

@@dennisblazey3315 I suppose there is likely a logic in running a fireworks company that might not be apparent to American consumers. Perhaps there are cultural differences in how production is thought about as well. I'd certainly be more likely to buy a moderately priced cake labeled 350 than an expensive one labeled 500. When it comes to the bigger cakes, I'm way more selective about the price and performance and do a lot more research. I'm much more likely to "impulse buy" smaller, less expensive cakes.

@@Crossfirepyro2 I totally agree. A good 200/350 can usually stand up against a 500g and at a fraction of the cost. It's not an inexpensive habit after all🤑🤑

Thanks JAM. I still haven't shot the third cake in the set but both of the first two are really great. I might post some camping pics on the community tab after we're back. Both of the boys are great pyros and I'm sure they'll be practicing starting the cook fires with our ferro rod!🔥🔥

I think I like RUD better than CATO! Just glad mine was only a $20 firework and not a multi million dollar spacecraft! I'm happy that Crash and Burn didn't crash and burn 😂😂😂
