Missouriband --Mystic Lady - Marylin Monroe

All good things start with M -.M&M's, Missouri, Marilyn Monroe, and Mystic Lady. MMMMMMMMMMM-GOOD.! Marilyn taught women in the 50s,60s an 70s that blondes have more fun. Before her it was JEAN HARLOW, a native of KC, and after her it was ANNA NICOLE. Marylin was by far the most Famous as she sang 'Happy Birthday Dear President' and 'SANTA BABY' to JFK, ON HIS BIRTHDAY
Missouriband -- So Far Away

FOGARTY- Style song about a dream place -far away- where everything is....GREAT.......... IN THE SUN. DREAM ON.!
I just dont understand why rhey didn't go bigger. They were a great band. I considered them up there with Zeppelin, ZZ, Kansas, just name a couple, you know the big bands. They were awesome. Still are.
I used to DJ in a small bar in Vandalia & this was one of our favorite tunes
They still rock
Them were the days, wouldn’t mind going back and doing it again.
I’m there somewhere, can you see me ? 😂
I was at that show
Highly underrated band ! Golden years of Southern rock.
This MO girl always called & requested it to be played in the 80's at Canton MO KQCA. However the radio station no longer exists. But I still am lifetime friends with the DJs. KRXL in Kirksville, MO still plays it. Local band Black Tie from Hannibal/Monroe City, MO does a kickass version of this song. Love it 🥰
Okay, forgive me. I'm from Georgia but I've never heard of this band before until today. This dudes Rock. I will be searching for some of the records.
Rare footage. I was 2yrs old living just 15mins for Arrowhead. Go Chiefs My Dad was at this show
Forgotten classic
Much love from the STL love this song
Anybody else go to the REO Speedwagon concert at arrowhead when it was actually “Ridin the Storm Out”?
Yes ! I lost my job because I went instead of working… but I was 16, got another one.
@@TheMissPoovey good choice lol
Lemon 714...nuff said
Great song and video from Arrowhead back in 79. Movin On is a classic song.
They still rock and that will NEVER die
I'm sure this footage is from the show I attended. Missouri/Heart/The Cars/Ted Nugent at Arrowhead. Summer of 79.
2023 jamming this from mid missouri
Those where the times
Back in the 80’s I ran lights for Missouri a few times. You had a band called Stratus opening. You used their PA and lights playing clubs in Missouri. I had a blast!!! You guys rocked!!! Still have the album you gave me!!!
Hell of a good time
Can't believe it. I haven't heard these guys for about 20 years. I'd recognize that voice anywhere. Miss this music. "Movin on"..had the Missouri lp, my brother borrowed it, left it in the trunk and warped it. Pissed me off to no end. And I still ask him when he's going to find another one for me. 😂🌹
Where was this recorded?
Well shit...chapter 2 disco HUTCH. Long u were there....waiting on the CLOCKS...🤘
🎉
Hi Dean, it's me NobodyReally . I won't mention my name lol 😂 and stay anonymous. Great talking to you Saturday night and Sunday morning (what timing!). The Lord God has His ways even with a fool such as I 😂. Hope to run into you again around KC. God bless you. Romans 10:9-10 John 3:17-18 ✝️✝️✝️ 🛐🛐🛐
Great stuff thank you
I was at this concert.. Love Arrowhead and many concerts there, all the Summer Jams..even tho they changed to GEHA stadium always gonna be Arrowhead.. always gonna be home
I made out in the back of a van in Liberty Missouri back in the day with the lead singer of this band. OMG! Crazy times...
Missouri was supposed to be the opening act for Lynyrd Skynyrd st the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in 1977, but the plane crash in Mississippi changed that. What a great album.
I seen this was posted 13 years ago but I still wanted to comment. I seen you all at a dive bar called Cajobes outside Lexington Missouri years ago. I think I was 17. My cousin got me in. It was the best ever!!! This had to be somewhere around 1976 to 1978 as I am now 62 and still rocking along. Great memories.
I love this song and I'm not even from Missouri! I discovered these guys because their songs were used as the soundtrack for a monster truck tape I had back in the day called "Monster Mania". I rediscovered this song about 12 years ago, and one thing that not everybody realizes is that the version of the song used here - as well as on various streaming sites - is a combination of the original intro plus the re-recorded version from "Welcome Two Missouri" (which didn't have an intro).
Sounds great- just like the studio version!
I had planned on going to see these guys open for Lynyrd Skynyrd at the Santa Monica Civic, but the plane crash changed all that. I had this album and was really impressed.
Great band from Kansas City. Dan Billings on drums and Web Waterman on lead guitar kickin' ass on that song.
Miss you guys...!
Great music, but man their lyrics were ridiculous
Always hated how he pronounced girl. Sounds like ghoul
Sep 5, 2022. it is a total honor to mention these cats. May God bless all who read this.
Ron, I would really wish that you would either release some of the actual live recordings or at least have some sort of reunion show even if it is only one in KC or St. Louis. After all these years there cannot possibly any type of bad feelings still and that is just childish. It is past time.
When did they play in St. Louis, Mo.
This video is terrible quality!
Why show the concert when this is the recorded version?
Man does that bring back memories feel like I'm 18 again.
Yup, same here!
One of the best songs in American history it is definitely like national anthem
Still a good song today.
Its BS that you cant get this sone on AMI or Touchtunes jukeboxes.
Guy from high school knew Ron and auditioned for him (according to that guy - guitar player). Waaaay back in the 1970s. He didn't make the band though. Thanks for putting this up.
The lead guitar is perfect. Perfect tempo, not overwrought but yet distinct from the rhythm guitar.
Thanks! I have always loved your taste in music!
