first of all, complaining about the 3D to 2D split is kinda stupid, we have to judge things by what they are and NOT by what they aren't if Sonic Team wanted a 70% 2D game then lets judge the game as a 70% 2D game, okay with that out of the way, classic sonic is awesome, because the whole idea of classic sonic in this game is too seemlessly lnk all spindash skips as fast a possible for the best possible times and about the ranking system, I don't mind it because the game has a ton of leaderboards and record systems plus the checkpoint system which all encourge players to get faster times and also idk about the references, I only think they referenced something from the past very few times I would like more examples

It is not surprising that Silver is a tragic character and his theme reflects that. He kind of has a vibe similar to Meliodas from Sven Deadly Sins to where he sees Blaze pass away over and over again, kind of like Meli with Elizabeth. It sucks because Blaze is an awesome character and she deserves better as well.

dreams of an absolution, especially the chorus, definitely comes across to me as Silver losing sleep as he dreams of trying to get back to Blaze, his best (and only future) friend, endlessly trying to save her from her fate, and failing. trying to "absolve" himself of the guilt and regret he feels of letting her sacrifice herself

Yet another agreement I have with you. The main thing I like about this game is the soundtrack, most of which I have heavy nostalgia for from playing Sonic Forces: Speed Battle. Infinite could’ve been a good villain, but sadly, he’s just the definition of wasted potential. He has a great theme though. Also, it’s the introduction of Matthew Mercer as Espio, and hands down, he’s easily my favourite voice for the character. I understand that Troy Baker and David Wills have their fans, but I really love what Matthew did with the character, even if most of Espio’s lines are just during the levels. But I still think he was great in the role.

I personally liked nine as a character he was a very interesting version of tails in my opinion.

Great vid! Sounds like cross worlds is going to be about multiverse judging by the name, in my opinion tho, i have a feeling that the game will flop sales-wise and i'm afraid it will hold sega back from giving a lot of budget to sonic team and not trusting them again
