Very nice video! I wonder if you could help me with this? My family is renting a house on Smith Lake for our family reunion in November. Would you know if flying over the lake requires a special permit, other than the rules we find through the FAA? Thanks for your help!

As far as the terrain goes, it is safe for kids. It's about a 10 mile hike total though. Probably 6-8 hour day hike with kids. They could potentially be tired and whining a bit on the way down.

Like how the vestibule has extra tie outs & skirting: great for bad weather. One could always prop up the skirt, but when the dust & snow blows bet it is nice. The body looked a bit slack in this video, where stretched out a bit more might have pulled some fabric away from the sleep area. Some companies suggest staking the body first to stretch it, then the poles. I had the Dragonfly Bikepack (freestanding, 4 feet) and thought the simple three-pole, semifreestand design made sense. With the more poles & extra hub came more confusion, poles flopping everywhere. The floor was sturdy on the tent I got, so that one being the Hornet platform, perhaps it was a bit thinner. Do you like this tent still? Kiuiu or Copper Spur? Short poles on the bikepack tent I had were nice, because it easily fit in my pack, but the more I study, distance folks keep the poles separate anyway. I can see keeping the poles separate as not to pop that thin tent fabric or sit on your pack & break a pole.

Have you compared the regular fillo luxury to the fillo elite luxury? The regular luxury seems to have a larger stuff sac and use foam. I’m leaning towards the elite because of stuff sac size but wondering if you have tried them both?

No I haven't tried the regular nemo fillo luxury. I tried the nemo fillo king, and that is super comfortable. It's just not light enough or small enough for a backpacking trip (3:40 in the video). It's hard to beat the fillo elite luxury if you need something lightweight and packable for a backpacking trip.
