I couldn't agree more. I'm an installer of IGLA devices in Australia, and I believe they're worth every cent. Nothing comes close.

Security through obscurity is not security. This should have never been released being this easy, if this is correct. While everyone is pissed at this guy and even if he has a conflict of interest, for the sake of the argument, the truth is the truth and announcing this is actually beneficial to the community. Ideally the manufacturer would have been contacted first to give them a chance to comment or fix.

Takes all of 45 seconds to pull the fuel pump relay and put it in your pocket. Most thieves don't carry a spare one. Even if they make a key, if no gas gets to the engine, they'll be pushing it.

I still chose ravelco over IGLA 🤷🏻‍♂️and deleted the OBD connector and I wish them all the luck to include you to try and program a key, if all that fails the remote 12v cutoff switch will still need to be found and bypassed. But thanks for the info, I will challenge you on all the thieves know about this product already. I added the extra layers due to prideful people like yourself that would like to show the downfall of other products to boost theirs. I would gladly let meet you to let you try to program a key on my car, and get it started in under 10 mins.

I understand you have the right to challenge Raveco products or any product that claims to be a 100% theft deterrent. However, you can still make a video without every detail for car thieves. Car thieves browse UA-cam daily for videos like yours to stay ahead of people's hard-earned money that goes into these devices.

What other product do you recommend other than IGLA? IGLA price is super high.

To reiterate. These videos are not staged not fake and not a scam. The company knows all of this. So now they will sit here and pretend it’s all a scam. They can continue to lie all they want. I’m sure the people calling me with a blocked number is part of their organization. Videos will stay up. In fact. I can show even more details on how bad and a joke the device is. Making a universal “key” is easy. Ignition doesn’t need to be turned on. They can add multiple ground trap wires in plug and it will make it easier. Less wires. Stand clear. If you don’t have funds to afford better options. Get the gimmick stuff off Amazon and it will work about the same.

I understand you have a product bias and your own product to sell but brother not a single opportunistic thief en pass is going to be prepared for this. And even if they've scoped you out, if you don't have their stickers, most thieves will not come prepared when they do get in. And if they wanted your car that bad to come prepped like ocean's 11? Consider moving areas or not driving an attention seeking car.

I looked up the IGLA and it isnt compatible with a lot of older vehicles.. so youre throwing people under the bus who want to protect their older vehicles only because you make money installing a competing product that only works on newer vehicles with fobs...

Ok, BS - you have the car ON, the signal is available...let it go into sleep, then you have to have the ability to turn it on...then go through the probing. BTW, what a tool to post this in the open.

Is this feature automatically included in igla ?

Is the anti-carjacking feature still functional without the IGLA fob with you? Does it work the same way if I get into the car without the IGLA fob, I key in my PIN code, start the car and drive away, stop, open and close the door, drive away again. Does the car disable itself the same way as in the video?

Some of the more pro thiefs appear to be using ECU swap-outs to steal certain cars. Is the IGLA in any way dependent on the ECU? Would an ECU swap render the IGLA useless or would the car still be protected?

Why would someone buy a Ravelco because "its better than nothing" and "i will stand by it" after you just gave complete instructions for theives to bypass the system?? As ive posted in your previous video its good you figured out how to crack their system but you should send it to Ravelco to view and correct in secert while people who have this installed can have protection until they can get a response from Ravelco. In Canada people are looking for solutions that work. Ravelco worked until you discovered a way around it because you spent time in the comfort of your lot figuring it out and experience in wiring. Then post a howto for who??? Damn.

You should have sent this video to Ravelco and tell them to look into correcting this. Putting this on the Internet for all to see for the sake of pointing out "my system is better" puts many people at risk. Im glad you found away to hack it but the point is what you do with that knowledge. You exposed it to the wrong eyes and now have made people vulnerable once again. Id take this video offline if i where you. Go speak to Ravelco if you really care about cusomers. If they dont do anything about it in a given time then expose it. You went aboutnthis the wrong way. Edit: After gathering further information from the OP and contacting both US and Canadian Ravelco operations it seems apparent that Ravelco is trying to protect their product by stating this is a scam. It would appear to be NOT the case. They willfully ignore customers trying to communicate or prove their system is beatable. I can no longer stand by the Ravelco product until rhey can demonstrate otherwise. Until then Do not purchase under the assumption that its unbeatable.

To those saying this video is promoting car thefts or helping thieves you’re missing the point. This shows a critical security flaw in the device that promises to stop car theft. If this device was truly secure then this video wouldn’t exist. The company should fix this vulnerability and who’s to say thieves didn’t know about this already. If anything this man is just making the general public more aware so they can be informed before purchasing.

I'm glad I found this, my car group has been recommending the Ravelco to stop thefts. I was watching a UA-cam video on cool car gadgets and found this device. I didn't like losing my remote start but had decided it was better than losing the car. Now when I get a new car I will be installing this. Their claim to fame was with 16 pins a thief would never figure it out. You have shown when there is a will there is a way. Thanks for the video.

The average car thief is not going to have the tools or understanding, or even be willing to take the time required to bypass one of these. The reason CAN bus attacks have become so common is because chinese markets have made the barrier to entry so low. A CAN bus attack is literally just a plug and play attack now with a device that you buy for $17 off the internet. This bypass method is not nearly as simple, and the average thief very likely won't know this process or won't want to bother with it. IGLA is an interesting solution but the switching hardware in it is pretty cheap quality and I question whether that's going to hold up for more than just a couple years under the increased usage load once it's installed, without eventually dying. The Ravelco is a much simpler solution that will be effective in the vast majority of cases. It's obviously not completely fool proof (as you've demonstrated), but it does create an extra barrier that is likely good enough.

But you should always shut off your vehicle when you are filling up for gas. There are signs at every pump, everywhere. Interesting anti-carjack system though.

Hey Jon, thank you for posting this to make people aware that Ravelco is not the product security it once was. As security systems become easier to defeat people should be made aware. Ravelco gives people a false sense of security and there are much better options to install on vehicles nowadays as you mentioned.

I'm considering purchasing a TRX and it has this device. The dealer is trying to charge extra because of it. I'll tell them to remove it and show this video.

The reality is, in both of your videos, you have the vehicle key, because you are installing your $1500 device instead of the $700 Ravelco. Without the key, you will be unable to pin out the Ravelco sockets, because they are OPEN circuits without the plug in place, which covers up the sockets. If you have the key and plug, then yes it can be started and run. Stop spreading false information. The Ravelco has stopped thieves for 47 years running and well over 5 million installed, WORLDWIDE!
