    both the falcon and Bucky were not acting as a soldiers, were acting unprofessionally, they really refused to cooperated with Johan Walker for no reason other than he got appointed as Captain America, and worst part is Sam himself refused to become Captain America, only then John was chosen as Captain America, as much as John tried to help them they simply shut him down for no reason, they act like having super serum as some big crime, but, somehow using high tech fly suite is somehow better, they try to make Black Captain America as some big deal, but Warmachine or Iron Patriot is more or less Captain America and literally no one had issue with it, but suddenly becomes a issue,

    I remember when I used to have Instagram. I made a review of the movie in the style of Nostalgia Critic. But I used a special "director's cut" that put back in all the deleted scenes. I called it "The Smash Cut". It was two and a half hours long and it was amazing. Emil Blonsky was a much more compelling villain. The man was clearly a trigger happy guy and is someone that when he finds a challenge, he has no intention of backing down. Instead he finds anything he can to make himself stronger to fight the hulk over and over again and hopefully win. Of course it never works but it shows how the hulk really is the strongest one there is. Also, a lack of Hulk in the movie makes the build up to seeing him in broad daylight gave me intense goosebumps when I finally saw it. I wish that we got what the director had in mind properly available in theaters and on home video.

    "if you pick the option that allows for child labor to fund a war effort, you're seen as evil" well yes, child labor is bad, and you broke a promise to the citizens. to them, despite the fact that there is an overwhelming force coming to destroy us all, you would still lie and cheat during a time where the people need security and stability. the problem is not so much that you are making kids go to work, its the fact that you lied, and you will probably lie again for things that you think are right. road to hell is paved with good intentions. now, i dont think the devs went that deep into the writing, and i dont think that a choice in a video game is an appropriate reflection of someone's character, but i do find it interesting *why* we make these choices. the reason i would never pick the child slavery option in a serious context is because i didnt like the idea of children or my in game children having to work in a factory to build guns to fight a war they know nothing about because they are as worldly as...a child. plus, i know i am a more than capable fighter so i would want to take on as much responsibility as possible because i am this lands ruler and they rely on me to keep them safe. i dont want to have to hurt them just so others dont get the chance to. id rather they get hurt doing something they know will get them hurt so i can be there to support the aftermath, rather than putting them in a position where i make the call on who lives and who dies. thats not my style. again, the writers probably didnt think that deep, but i did, and in these rpgs, that is the purpose. its "my" story. anyway i just thought that was interesting

    This show could’ve shown how walker overcomes what everyone else thinks of him to prove he’s worthy of being cap. And falcon and Bucky can recognize that. Maybe they could’ve subverted expectations with the show with Sam actually leaving the shield with walker and giving him his support in being the new cap. It’d actually let falcon have some character agency, making decisions for himself and not just doing what cap thought was best. Even if he holds a great deal of respect for him.

    Hot take:. The First one wasnt great either. It was well shot with great performances but the substance is really try hard and superficial. Its just a wannabe Scorsese film with the Jokers name on it and is really a poor representation of the character. The Joker can only be great when hes juxtaposed witg Batman. Thats the point of his existence and any supervillain really.

    • @therealloomar
      @therealloomar 8 днів тому

      If your argument is "The first Joker film was a bad film about the iconic Batman villain", that isn't a hot take. That's something everyone has pointed out However, just looking at what was in the film and not comparing it to anything else, Joker was an amazing film. I agree that it's not even really about anything to do with Batman (and that's certainly a flaw) and they most likely should have just named it something else However, what we got was great, and it has now been thoroughly ruined by a sequel that went out of its way to shit on the character and substance provided by it

    • @STARK0181
      @STARK0181 8 днів тому

      @@therealloomar Nah. Even if we divorce this from the batman mythos. As a film it has great aspects, like cinematography and performances, but its pretty overrated as a whole. A UA-camr named " Dave talks too much" did a video called "Why JOKER is overrate". In that video he details why the Joker movie fails on a thematic level by engaging in its subject matter in a very superficial way. The film puts so much truma and baggage on Arthur just to fuel his revenge fantasy rather than give insight into how those thematic ideas. Poverty, Abelism,child adoption, child abuse. And mental illness are just tacted on for the sake of Arthur's pitty parade rather than actual character dissection. The film overrwrites Arthur with these characteristics but baraeudelve into the nuances of how it affects him and his relationships. This is why the movie feels like it was written by an angsty 16 year old who labelled it "#deep". As good example of how to deal with those nuances is storytelling seen in the Sopranos ,Breaking bad, or Better call Saul.

  • @spectrebruh447
    @spectrebruh447 8 днів тому

    It’s like Todd saw that people related and liked the character of Arther Fleck and decided to try to guilt trip fans for relating to a disturbed individual even though that's what tough art like this is supposed to do. I think gaslighting people into thinking they are problematic for relating to a fucked up character in a movie is kinda super manipulative and wrong. I find it hard to believe that a substantial amount of people actually thought that violence and murder was okay after watching joker and the people who had those ideas were already messed up, it wasn't the films fault. This has been happening all through movie history. Nuanced movie with a grey morality is released.

    • @therealloomar
      @therealloomar 8 днів тому

      I think people are unable to understand that supporting Arthur's message isn't the same as supporting his actions He shouldn't be killing people or causing riots to break out. But that doesn't change the fact that he was pushing back against a city and society that hated him since he was a child for issues he couldn't control and needed help for But apparently people aren't allowed to think that way and instead all that nuance has to be removed so we know he is a bad guy who doesn't actually care about anything and his mental trauma doesn't really exist apparently

    Honestly I think the stronger part of the series are its characters. I mean, all the powerscaling is kinda pointless, especially when inconsistencies like this are frequent but honestly, small and insignificant. There are times where the inconsistencies are more apparent and that damages the stakes. In the end though, the stakes are low mainly because of the plot armor some characters have and not so much because of the inconsistent powers. Also I would like to add that the stakes are low only when it comes to whether a character lives or dies. There are other sectors where the stakes are high. One example of this is the characters' mental stability and their relationships, where I think the writers are doing a pretty good job.

    Would've been better if they just did single player maybe 4 hour length plots for lets say 4 characters. One in lets say in North America during the outbreak, one in Europe, one in East Asia, and one in Africa and maybe one in South America. Each being 4 hours long relatively and completely separate from one another. But sadly the horde shooting part is all that stuck. One if the interesting plots was how peoppe fleeing into cold regions were "safer" but running out of food and the implications is that they became cannibals as a result. Conspiracy, the loss of human life, and fear.

    Should have used Natural Born Killers or Bonnie & Clyde as a frame for the movie, then the musical scenes would have cuts to reality(kinda like Meet the Pyro from TF2). Imagine Joker singing while a cop smells the flower on his chest and they're both singing happily, only to cut to reality where the cops face is melting off. Or he shots someone with the toy Bang Flag gun and they laugh, yet we see the gun was real and other guy has hole in chest.

      That sounds fun, at least that would make sense with how Arthur twists reality instead of him just randomly breaking out into song every 5 minutes

    Those that believe this character is intelligent are too stupid to see that she isn't. Plain and simple. She isn't smart just because she says so; she isn't smart just because she "predicted everything and it all wnet according to plan"; she isn't smart because she makes an extremely direct assumption about Homelander's dry skin and hair dye. If she were your doctor, would you feel confident about her diagnosis based on dry hands? Especially if your doctor knew that you were out killing people all the time, and that could be a reason why you wash your hands more often... Because of blood? But, no, it's definitely because of urination, because of an enlarged prostate 🤣. God, it's embarrassing that adults could not only wrote like this, but that they then sold it to other adults, and then, that even more adults actually found this plausible and convincing. 'Adventure Time' had better writing, and I'm not even exaggerating.

    Its like thanos' train of thought, i mean the dude saw the same problem his homeworld had and knew he had to do something or else trillions would be in poverty, starving or dead vs only half being given quick and painless deaths so the rest could live in peace, its like the saying "kill a few to save a million" you cant really be mad at him or hate him for his actions when he was just trying to make the universe a better place for generations to come.

    I wholeheartedly agree with you. This novel needs to be brought to life in a Netflix or HBO series.

    Joker 1: Critics hated it, the public loved it, it made a billon dollars. Joker 2: Critics loved it, the public hates it, it won't make a billion dollars.

      Joker 1: a movie meant to make the audience uncomfortable and disturbed Joker 2 the same concept, but all the people who didn't get what the first one was doing is now upset. great sequel and great performances all around.

      Joker 1 - An amazing film highlighting how an unjust and cruel world can turn the mentally ill into the monsters society paints them as Joker 2 - We're going to pretend that Arthur was always a dickhead and removed any nuance or substantive writing from the script, treating the audience like idiots who need it explained that you shouldn't kill people Absolutely fucking abysmal sequel, no wonder they didn't screen test it

      @@therealloomar Arthur acted as d**k head towards the people who wronged him or those he thought wronged him, he did the same thing with Murray in the first, it was shown he felt for the other inmates, and his lawyer and doctor, the whole point of Harley was that she was a bad influence on him, you don't have to pretend anything you just had to open your eyes, But I bet you made up your mind on this before you went in,.

      Arthur was abused, lied to and undervalued his whole life to the point that 3 people on the subway nearly beat him to death because they viewed him as lesser than them. His whole story is how unjust cruelty and an uncaring society turns somehow who's already mentally disturbed into a violent creature. Not a complete monster, as shown by him letting Garry live and only killing those who have wronged him, but still violent nonetheless. Perhaps he could have been a normal person had he had access to a caring environment and the correct systems Joker 2 then comes along and insists that he actually is a petty, self entitled narcissist who's always only cared about himself and the power he has over people, completely downplaying the wrongs of society and his own mental hardships he's had to endure even as a child. Yes, Harley plays into it, but that's because she's under the delusion that Joker is the real Arthur, which he is more than happy with until the end when he randomly decides that it is indeed just a fantasy and that he's a pathetic weak willed man, completely undoing the point of the first film and making the second one a complete waste of time
