I have a feeling the red square could be the skybox texture freaking out for a frame as there doesn't seem to be anything obstructing the front door, therefore the sky being shown. Later in his video you can even see the stars from the night sky peeking behind the door so i think it could have been just that. Maybe the sun setting portion of the cycle was accidentally shown for a bit

if the minecraft world was at sunset during the time it was filmed then it could be a chunk load error and showing the sky? idk like the minecart and leaf glitch forever ago

What if theres an ARG that is just Wood, just plain ordinary wood. that eats the world and the player thinks nothing of it, until his house turns in to wood and eventually, the entire world is Wood and the player in the end turns into wood himself and becomes: ONE WITH THE WOOD

I vividly remember stumbling upon an empty house in my Minecraft world when I was a kid too. Now I had a family computer and 2 other siblings that played too so there’s a chance it was someone accidentally logging into my world (none of my inventory was touched though), but I fondly remember stumbling onto a house on the opposite side of spawn that I adventured in, it was small had torches and looked similar to the houses I normally build. I got upset cuz I thought someone was messing around in my world, so I went and asked all of my siblings if it was theirs before taking it apart, but nobody said it was them. It confused the hell out of me and I got really scared I think I deleted the world. Most likely I was tweakin and built two houses on accident but the thought of playing a single player game and someone else knowing of your existence but never coming forward has always terrified me. Like imagine playing subnautica, and for the first time you explore this pitch black deep part of the ocean only to find a fully functional and operational base with nobody inside down there. Knowing you’re not the only life form in games is fine but knowing you’re not the only human is terrifying to me

I wonder if the reason the base and stuff wasn't loading in the alpha version that Zappa sent is because the system somehow read it as the raw seed so it never loaded the buildings' data, and when they opened it in the modern version the system had been updated and was able to recognize the buildings' data.

8:49 Watching part 2 now and the server corruption is very much like what I was commenting about what happened to me way back in beta of minecraft

1:29:28 Way back in beta days I had one of my worlds corrupt and not generate properly I was trying to create a super flat world when it first came out but it took the terrain generation and builds from one of my previous worlds(They had the same seeds just one was set to generate super flat) the super flat world still generated you just had to travel over 1000 blocks to hit it, I messed things up even further trying to bring that super flat world onto a server for my friends to check it out but the servers code made everything generate normally again. I didn't have the pirated version of the game just reusing the same seeds and names causing issues whenever I created worlds back then

If I saw something on a map that isn't there in game, my first instinct is to look up. Just to make sure perspective isn't fuckin' with me.

The Red Square thing actually reminds me of when I was building on a tall tower in Beta Minecraft. I think it was night time and when I opened my inventory there was like a huge black line going across my screen behind the inventory screen in the sky.

The ending of the video is truly horrific. It uses all that build up to it's absolute best. The sheer panic he shows as you can hear SOMETHING trying to get into his shelter is just perfect.

It's hard finding good Minecraft horror videos that have that 1 off unique story that sucks you in. Some are good that make it believable while a bunch others fall short.

i think you just kinda plainly misunderstood the statements about not finding a way up or his base. all that says to me is "I took a cursory pass at finding an easy way up and couldn't, so i nerdpoled" and "i tried walking back to my base but i'm really far away so i stopped".

I used to play minecraft Xbox 360 Edition in creative. One day i was flying across my world and decided to enter a cave as if i wasnt in creative, then in one part of The cave there were some redstone torches placed randomly. I got so scared that i never went there again (i tought it was herobrine)

im 5 minutes in, in the theories section. gonna share my ignorant perspective before watching the video play out. its faked. the guy found a chunk error, thought whoa thats crazy, then made a play around it. saying it would have been a lot of effort... ehh, not really. maybe most so for the chest contents, but forming the structures is light work. yes, even back then. would take likely a sinlge session of just playin around. and i mean he's a minecraft player, it wouldn't be out of any comfort zone. and at the end of the day, you pass it off as some phenomenon, you may get some views :). i'd sure take a day to set that up for that reason. so to me, it dies there. but lets see what happens.

that comment about being 10 years old and finding a block of cobblestone actually happened to me. 😭😭😭 this happened in 2013 or 2014 and it was on the paid version of minecraft pocket edition. there was this world that i was playing on and it was a SURVIVAL world. somehow when i loaded the world up one day it was in creative. at this point in time you couldn't change those world settings, or at least the little 9-10 year old me couldn't figure it out after searching. i was so scared that herobrine had hacked my world. i went through my chests and looked at my now valueless items as i cried and then i flew around the map while crying. i was flying all over the place and half expecting to find herobrine but the only thing i found were 2 cobblestone blocks stacked on top of eachother. after that i got off minecraft and didn't play minecraft again for a while because i was too scared. i know that mc pe had a lot of glitches but it still freaks me out to think about.. there was also this mc pe glitch on multiplayer where you could double a stack of anything in a chest if you and your friend both clicked on it at the same time. we would end up with so many diamond and gold blocks that we would build houses out of them. good times lol

Yeah, this mystery has been solved long ago, even before you.

Think the "Removed Herobrine" in various changelogs started as a reference to early fixes in the save file cross contamination glitch? It's also possible to have the glitch trigger unfamiliar buildings if you share a computer with other people.

HOLD UP THAT POOL OF WATER ON TIME: 48:19 THAT LOOKS SO FAMILIAR it was connected to an ocean and my friend and I had played on it the area it's self isn't familiar but the L shaped hole my friend put that there or we randomly found it while spawning in it looks familiar if you want any other clues it was just random and I don't have any other info besides that Edit: "I remember being told that all our saved files were gone after Minecraft was updated or something but later we found it in one of the family's account this is weird maybe it just some how was told to be brought back and was told to send it to the wrong person I guess XD Edit: "I'm editing this comment as I'm watching and I saw another interesting memory me and my friend use to made a bridge from when we were younger and it was wooden or something and that random bridge at the end just looked familiar connecting one island to another maybe all the old saved worlds are somehow merging together if this the case watch your old world and make sure if there are random builds just pop up in your world 1:47:04
