I just can't wait for this AGI thing to come out. I'm just tremendously excited of the thought of slaping that thing around for not doing what it's supposed to be doing. Like I do with every other piece of technology I got. And I just love that feeling of dissapointment that I always get when I open the box. Like... What is this? And I look at it and go like... Hmmm... This looks a lot less impressive than the photo. Oh well... I'll guess I'll try it, let's see how long it takes me to decide that throwing it out the window is the best way to go. I'm a rather primitive guy. If it doesn't look like in the photos, I go like...Aaaaa.. But if I can round kick it and it doesn't break, I'm impressed. People going like... Did you see the new... whatever. Have you seen how cool it is? And me going like... Yeah, sure, it's ok. I've tried smashing it a couple of times and I couldn't do it, so I guess it works.

Its illogical to claim because you ask a computer to create a antenna to meet specified parameters and it does to then claim you created it! You didnt and physically ask the Ai to come up with a solution that you yourself admittedly could not. At the very least it is a shared creation with the machine and this has been going on for a long time. The semantics are irrelevant. We will know true Ai has arrived when it becomes as narcissistic and self delutional as most scientists. That will be the day it states it created the antenna by itself.

I wouldn't mind AI solving our governments inadequacies. We are doing a lousy job of it already with HELL and fury being threatened at the turn of a dime. No corrupt politicians at the helm.

Don't confuse AI with an normal tool, program or algorithm. An AI is a tool which can learn based on a neurological network and learning takes time and resources. A program just calculates relatively fast. When u use a pocket calculator to do a mathematical operations it's does it fast with bytes operation. AI needs a lot of resources and the answers comes from neurological simulated brains that give answers as neurological paths and parameters. Something similar to our brain. Many of examples are just programs, not AIs.

The quantum is such an enigma, i am fasinated and get excited when i learn new concepts. We are so far from understanding even why they react when observed... How does anyone feel like this is good? We dont interstand the quantum so lets build a computer so we can feel more clueless

The problem with antibiotics is that Doctors were not being taught to use them correctly -- thus creating resistant bacteria. Doctors are taught in Med School to put a patient on the antibiotics until the symptoms went away. The problem with that is it didn't go ahead and completly finish ALL the bacterial while they could thus leaving those bacteria that were most resistant still alive to reproduce. Thus the Doctors misuse itself was creating the resistant strains they now seek to fight. And based on Doctor's continued misuse these new antibiotics will also produce resistant strains. Its bad education and use not the antibiotic itself. The solution (through research) is to put the patient on antibiotics and continue a little longer (even afer asymptotic) and with a simple blood test confirm the colony is dead BEFORE coming off the antibiotic. Everything you leave alive is now Resistant to your Antibiotic. Improper Application of the Tool.

I think i should point out sonething about that NASA AI Antenna. It is similar to the Antenna on the Madigan VA Hospital roof. Yeah, that one that has reports of classified things going on where you can't access certain floors. The Hospital is between Tacoma, WA and Portland, OR. Although i wouldn't go there because... well, read the Madigan Report before you go. I would never go near the place again. Too risky. So getting back to this AI video, yeah it migh be possible to randomly tray various patterns until you get something that works, or you might just know about some obscure that no one else has ever noticed.
