Its double standards for the All Blacks and the rest of the world. Flip the script and imagine a rebuilding Irish team beat NZ when they were world #1 in their back yard... That would be chaos in the media. A rebuilding All Blacks team beat the #1 Irish and people downplay that it wasn't that impressive, Ireland were rusty, NZ didn't do anything impressive.... Shows the standard NZ have set for themselves. Similar to the boks, NZ as world number 1 never lost to Argentina and Ireland in their back yard in the same year and were still praised as the best team in history... Reality is NZ has dominated for so long people are reaching for comparisons way to early. And a rebuilding All Blacks side is on par with the greatest Irish squad ever (arguably better when it matters).

England attack was great long may they continue to give it a go but the D wow ABs last week made a heap of breaks but Oz hands and finding space with ball in hand was far better

Don't think rush defence works/suits this England team. Other nations have learnt how to manage it and it clearly leaves England with little energy in the final 20 mins with other nations being able to take advantage of this.

Oz ball carry was so good Bell Bobby V especially early right to give the ball some air

England lost to NZ simply because Steve blundered badly taking Smith off with 15 odd still on the clock! Then he unbelievably blundered again against Aussie, despite England’s error ridden game to that point, by moving Smith to FB where he made a terrible defensive error resulting in Aussies final try to win!

Great analysis lads, exactly what happened, England were arrogant and tried to win the match in the first 10 minutes by playing fast and loose. Pretty rugby aint always winnning rugby and I'd expect England to return to the strangle and wrestle style they are renowned for. On to a different matter, Aussie physically bashed you in the carry and clean. They have 5 or 6 world class carriers who can easily make gainline in Bell, Ikitau, Wilson, Valentini, McReight, Frost and Wilson. Look at what they did to poor old Curry. When you have that sort of firepower, you're always a chance. Their scrum has improved under Mike Cron, so has their maul defence, variation in the lineout with X-factor in Sua'alii. Not complete yet but looking dangeroous.

If anyone can get away with it, it's you Ben 😊😂😂 I'm one of the few who did see it coming... should have put some money on it! I would say chin up, but you're playing South Africa next 😬

Genuine question here, as there are flaws with the blitz defence/ teams in general really. Are coaches aware of this and adjust accordingly or do teams/ England hire someone who purley analise their own team for weaknesses that other teams can expose them on? Becuase it just seems basic for playing in and around the ruck to work when its so obviously a flaw in the defence?
