While I appreciate this review/problem solving, I think it is worth mentioning that these cameras have a two year warranty. If you as the user experience the same, slow green flash, Spypoint will not replace under warranty, rendering the camera useless. With the cell camera market emerging, it is worth considering other products with better longevity.
In my opinion it’s a great camera. Why pay more for something that will break at 3 years anyway. They all crap the bed around 3 years keep it simple and cheap.
App is crap , updated firmware now camera is bricked won’t even power on with a 8 new Duracells
What brand batteries do you use?
nothing personal but I thing Trijicon specifically tells not to use the cover screws for the adaptor plate. Other than that great vid.
My solar battery is fully charged and the camera won’t turn on !
Although I like the looks of the Flextone Thunder Chick, I chose the Red Head Crazy Jake remote control combo because of the 90* pivot movement, and at a $100 for both the breeding hen, and Jake together, the trade-off for only a slightly better looking Thunder Chick as opposed to the movement of the Crazy Jake pair was a deciding factor. Red Head won. Haven't either one in hand yet, but anxious to try out the movement that the motorized decoy will produce. I hunt private lands only, and being an older hunter have opted for a Tidewe 4-6 man ground blind, as I can place this a week or so before the opener, allowing the birds to get used to seeing it . It also breaks down into two roomy blinds in different locations. I hunt E Idaho.
In the video were you mixing lithium and alkaline batteries in the camera?
I came here two years ago when I first purchased my cameras. I've got four cameras and I don't have any problems with them anymore but now I'm trying to see if anyone uses rechargeable batteries.
I got 4, the pictures arent worth a shit!!
9 out of 10 have gone bad Link Micro LTE. Bought the last 2 on 7-30-21, one camera quit working on 8-30-21, 1 month after warranty ran out same with the other 8 just a blinking green light all night long or want send. Still have one that is working. NO MORE SPYPOINTS! Now using DEFENDER Pro Scout Max by Browning. 2 1/2 years no problems and the batteries will last all season up to 1 year can't beat that.
My flex s is complete junk. Doesn’t transmit 1/2 the time, batteries are dead the other half. Had it for 3 weeks and replaced batteries 5 times. No customer service to speak of. Buyer Beware!!!
If you don’t have good service will it still take pictures and just save them to the card? I can’t even get the thing to work at all. I have a class 4 dd card maybe that is preventing it from working at all. 🤷♂️
Garbage for me. They said buy a new battery after 4 weeks, 2 weeks of it working, 2 weeks of it not working. Weather seal failed on it, water all over the place. Garbage.
I want to watch construction of my mountain house. The camera takes great pics of wild life but want to get human activity. Currently not able to see any pics of construction workers. Any ideas?
The camera holds 8 AA batteries. You only put in four. Why? Are the batteries you have there 1.2 volt rechargeables or standard 1.5 volt alkaline batteries?
Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom
Its crazy i ordered the WI terra extremes last year for 40, they are 85 now. Its crazy
I have 3 cameras and a link. I have the Flex which works well but issues with fast drain of batteries and issues with the cell plan, after the 100 free photos I wait the 30 days and then should reset to another 30 days. Both my flex and my buddies flex does the same thing, if we don’t subscribe to a paid plan after the 30 days it won’t transmit. My Link Micro LTE is fine, but my link micro 4G has bricked after firmware update and now there is no connection between the camera and app which makes it now just a regular trail camera ( or parts)with no way to change settings. Spent hours trying everything then called SPYPOINT via their chat and by phone. No solution to get it working, I was offered a new flex at a cost of $159. I passed on that less then generous offer. I should also mention, my support woman fell a sleep on me while waiting to try the various scripted attempts. After 6 long snores I work her up by saying hello, anyone there. She forgot who she was talking to. Made me laugh at least.
Inam not realy happy with Spypoint camera. Two time per year all ready broken.
Whole new definition of up close and personal
I just posted a video of some wolves milling about my Spypoint Link Micro LTE. check it out and see if you have any suggestions for me. It 38 seconds long next year Im going to buy a camera capable of video for Jurassic Butte.
BANGBANG🎯💥‼️
Drop the mfs
Traps an 22s
If it's grey spray and pray That mean grey it dead
There'd be two dead coyotes
Kill them because in Nebraska coyotes are an invasive species so you can kill them all year
Man not sure if you’ll see this but god damn one hell of a video helped a lot. If you can do more of these on different small properties would appreciate it.
Glad you enjoyed!

Fine piece of machinery 😊
Can't wait!! 🦃
Antler traps are unethical if you ask me. I ran into one on public land that someone made with chicken wire, and I tore it down ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Maybe they shouldn't have put it on public land.
hello sir, I have a gamecam that has the TL DELAY option, and (TL START AND TL STOP) the TL START And TL STOP has a 24 hr set up that doesn’t make sense. I was going to set mine to 12:00am to 11:59pm? Is that the right thing to do?
I've had/have several of their cameras and run all of them on solar with a 12 volt feeder battery. The cameras can be finicky at times, particularly when new. The online support is ridiculous, but if you can suffer through it you can eventually get where you want to go. I don't think the online support folks are American, or if they are they just don't write well. Regardless, once I get the cameras up and going, they are generally pretty reliable. Having been through so many of the issues now, I think I could get most folks through most of their issues. Despite the pitfalls, for the price I am pretty happy with the product.
How long is the battery life with the lithium batteries?
Depends on the time of year and the frequency of sending pictures. If you’re sending pictures two or three times a day during the fall it should last a couple months. Colder weather really drains the batteries for me.
Hi, is it 1/3 cowitness? Thx
worst camera on the market , their is no customer service at all !!!!!!!!
Same issue for me. Green light keeps blinking and never correctly connects to cell signal. Additionally, when I opened it brand new out of the box there was no lithium battery pack. The online chat support took forever but they did eventually send me a new battery pack. However, now the green light flashing issue is going on. Very disappointed with Skypoint. 2 major issues right out of the box.
Having major issues since July. The Battery compartment apparently leaks. Massive corrosion issue on battery contacts. Not impressed at all with this device. Calling this morning. Not going to deal with any computer updates or firmware updates. The camera is defective. Either a new cam or cancel my service.. I'll give them a chance. Just one.
Did you have any trouble with the 12 volt battery and solar charger on these cameras, mine is hooked up but does not show battery life and is not sending pictures either
I have not used the solar option.
You helped me 6 months ago and I have 2 questions # 1 does it seem like getting customer service on the phone now is like hitting the Powerball or Mega millions jackpot? & #2. At what percentage of battery life are you noticing that the pictures are taken & they go to your app, then your email address BUT NOT your cell phone? I'm using 4 cameras & it seems like 60% & less this problem occurs. & the available & used space on the sd card has never worked. I really don't think that the battery strength is accurate either. Thanks again & Happy Thanksgiving!
I haven’t tried calling customer service in quite a while so I’m not really sure on that one. 40%-60% is when I would start having trouble. Typically in colder weather. My theory is the battery life percentage gets less accurate in extreme temps.
@@NWIWhitetails thanks again. I've found a couple things out. I have a tracfone for my job and I downloaded the app on it and didn't have alot of problems. So my main cell phone is the problem. I just don't get notifications like I'm supposed to from the S.P. app or my email address that's linked to the account. & the storage on the Sd cards never changes. All in all I'd rather have a cellular trail camera than have to go to a camera to retrieve 411.
Junk
I have two, bought them fall of 2021, they worked for a few weeks pretty well and then both started having issues. I've done the firmware upgrades on both and they still won't do anything. Very frustrating when you can't communicate with the camera except when it decides to communicate with you. So if it never tries to send you anything you can't change or check any of the settings.
Same problem with mine. I had to send two cameras back to SPYPOINT and now every month when the batteries run dead I change them with new ones and the camera do not want to work. Spypoint takes days to reply to me. And when they do they say firmware update. I’m so fed up with these cameras. Anyone know other cameras that are better then spypoint????
My stealthcam browtine cell cams take really good pictures and have a fast trigger speed!
I purchased the FLEX from Spypoint about 2 months ago. I must say I neglected to do my homework. That's on me. My cell service is poor at the camera location. It worked, sorta. I installed a directional external antenna. This helped immensely. 0 to 25% signal was the norm. After installing the antenna it's a solid 90% All the time. I fashioned 1.5 inch PVC pipe mount. painted it camo along with the antenna. yeah, it's a PITA but well worth the effort. My Biggest complaint is this camera has no DC power jack. I have designed a solar battery power unit myself. I wanted clean, regulated power. Not just a panel plugged into the camera with rechargeable double As. My other Spypoint camera is a LINK-MICRO-S-LTE-V. Its built-in battery with solar on top has never gone below 100%. It also has a directional antenna. It takes a few tests to find the sweet spot but when you do you can forget about it. Cheers from Louisiana.
Mine works just doesn’t take night photos anyone else experienced this?
I'm trying to set a schedule and every time I try to save it tells me "we had a problem saving your data, please try again later" I've been trying again for a week. I'm still getting pictures and good signal good batteries. Anybody have any ideas. I've been trying to live chat for 2 days and no response
Mine sends me pictures of nothing all of the time. I have tried the medium and the low sensitivity but it makes no difference.
I noticed there are 2 sim cards stacked on each other behind the battery tray in the MICRO. One has spypoint logo and the other is AT&T. Is there a way to cut spypoint out as a middleman and just insert a sim card from a cell phone and just call into it with the number associated to the sim card we use?
I don't think that will work, and you will not have access to their app.....
