I wear them in a non traditional way and feel honor each time I wear them. They are secondhand. I love your thought of the memories they hold. I will now think about that each time I wear them.

🍲Motsunabe Recipe (Hot Pot with Beef/Pork Offal)　✨ 🌱Ingredients * Cabbage: 1/2 head * Bean sprouts: 2 packs * Chinese chives (Nira): 1 bunch * Burdock root: 1 stick * Other vegetables: as desired * Beef offal (any part you like) or substitute with pork offal: 400-500g * Garlic: to taste * White sesame seeds: to taste * Red chili slices: to taste 🥣Soup Ingredients * Water: 4 cups (800ml) * Shiro-dashi: 2 tbsp (30ml) * Light soy sauce: 4 tbsp (60ml) * Mirin: 2 tbsp (30ml) * Sugar: 1 tbsp * Grated garlic (tube type is fine): 5cm or to taste * Grated ginger (tube type is fine): 5cm or to taste Steps 1. Prepare the offal: * A mix of offal is recommended, but if you’re a beginner, try white offal (small intestines). * If the offal feels slimy, rub it with vinegar and salt, let it sit for 5 minutes, then rinse well. Blanch the offal lightly in boiling water before use. 2. Sauté the offal: * Heat a little oil in a pan, then stir-fry minced garlic and ginger with the offal until fragrant. 3. Make the soup: * Combine all the soup ingredients in a pot and bring to a gentle boil over medium heat. 4. Remove scum: * As the soup heats, skim off any scum that rises to the surface. Once no more scum appears, turn off the heat to avoid overcooking and losing flavor. 5. Assemble the hot pot: * Cut the cabbage into large chunks (about 5cm wide) and arrange it in a donut shape in the pot. Pile bean sprouts generously in the center. * Lay Chinese chives (cut into 7cm pieces) across the top in a row. Sprinkle with dried garlic chips, white sesame seeds, and red chili slices as toppings. 6. Cook and serve: * Turn the heat to high, and as the soup begins to rise and the cabbage wilts, the dish is ready to eat. Reduce to medium heat and enjoy! 7. Finish with noodles or rice: * For the finale, add ramen noodles, udon, or cooked rice to the rich, flavorful soup. Each option is delicious and makes the most of the broth.
